Correction at 01:15 - not "all" devices are supported, just the modern flash uC's. OTP's aren't supported.

@sqftsteve I think they mean all the microcontrollers being produced (after all, no one will prototype with obsolete parts).

@ivaneduardo747 I agree that there is little reason to use OTP parts in new designs, but Microchip does still manufacture and sell them, listing them as 'mature' products. This is why I keep a PicStart Plus around, as it comes in handy for programming my stash of the older parts. :)

Is Microchip going to create a UART and Logic Analizer tool as they did with the PicKit2? I hope so!

@1TELLAURA We are focusing on getting the scripting done, once that is complete then any PK2 scripts will work with PK3 and it will be easier to do the UART and other functions. Thanks for the comments!

@MicrochipTechnology Any idea when that will be? The logic analyzer and UART tool really are amazing features oft the PICKit 2 and I wont upgrade until they are included in the PK3. Please get them up and running!

@Volta500 Scripting for the PK3 will be released this quarter that will enable all of the other features (UART/Logic Analyzer etc) Those will probably be released in May/June time-frame.Thank you for your comments!
