  • I agree spiedey133, in the end this train session was useless, as the goalie was preempting the ball placement... :(

  • isn't hard when you know were all the balls are coming

  • semua mcm babi

  • @Sultananigar hahahhaha

dein eintrag hab ich meinen kollegen gezeigt .... sooooo geil

zumindest so wie ich das versteh:D

  • hmmm I guess you guys have different shaped goals where your from because in Australia this square goal is definitely not regulation, not is it by international standards.

  • @mzholmes yeah this is smaller and more square than the ones in the UK too

  • das tor wirkt ein bizzl klein^^

  • hi guys, ive got adidas tt10 black and gold for sale, also got grays hockeys for sale. anybody interested. get in touch.

  • @umer2812 how much are you asking for the tt10?

  • @merpzilla the adidas tt10 black is for £120

  • Haha, he's like a robot.. but its great training.

  • that net is really small

  • ee q capoo!!!

  • Krefeld ist geilste Club der Welt....

    ich war bei allen Spielen.

Christian Schulte ist aber auch richtig gut...

  • this isn't a really good keeper, he just dive but if he was really good, he saves all the balls with his legs...

  • @joppiedefloppie I agree. at top level when the ball comes in that slow and at that level they would just shuffle across.

This is pobably a warm up for training. Does the goal look smaller?

  • @Lanko182 i think they have "squished" the vid coz his stick is really short then he dives.

as they say in the title it is "training" so they are probably starting at a slow speed, and i think they mean training for a penalty flick not corner...lol

  • ok i coach keepers and it is better to dive in that situation so you can have more control of pushing the ball out to the side using legs is a higher chance of it going back to the other team and he has clearly been told to dive to save that by diving as every shot goes to the same place

  • @joppiedefloppie

that is exactly what i thougt !

He is tall so he don't have to dive !

  • cool.

  • haven't heard the word practice befor?^^

this is the most possible shot on goal in their way to defend at a short corner!

  • he's doing repetition training, to improve his chances of making a save in that area in a game. he would then do a top right, middle right, top left, middle left and bottom left in this style to get his body and mind used to these saves. its just training.

  • are you serious, since hes quite clearly training for the world cup, i think e might just about scrape it into your 2nd XI but i have a feeling he plays at a much higher level, also how can you tell how good someone is from making one save?

    your an idiot,

  • So you are saying that your clubs second XI keeper is better than the keeper for germany's national hockey team

  • tk goalie gear any good?

  • Hey i had these pads for about 6,7 months before i got sick of them. For me the straps and kickers are very uncomfortable and the spacing on the legguards tends to interfere a lot with diving saves and on penalty corners. The handgaurds on the other hand were fantastic and were extremely shock absorbant and durable.. It's really just a matter of preference but thats how it was for me. Hope that helped (:

  • thanks, what do you have now?

  • guys got keepin' talent, that's for sure

  • good reason for him to play for the german team

  • that is ausom how he can get it on his stick so much good stick to eye controle

    quolity

  • How do those guys do that! how...

  • might as well jst stand in the right hand side of the goal

  • Hahha, very true

  • thanks :D

    Danke!

  • whats the name of that song?

  • Billy Talent - Red Flag

  • Respect for stopping such a fast ball, but it doesn't really help your training if they're all in the one corner. In a game, the first instinct would be to go straight there, so what if they put it to his left? It would be awesome if he was doing both sides in the same drill. GOALIES RULE!!!

  • jo uli geh mal zu den wespen!

  • This is mint.

  • YEAH WELL WHEN U TRAIN FOR THE PAST 26-30 YEARS U BLUDY GET USED TO IT!!! yeah the best keeper gustav vogels u shud watch him train!!

  • you mean guus vogels?

  • that is a really weird goal :|

  • dis is the most shittest vid ive ever seen he keeps on goin to the same corner and the keeper tries to make it look dramatic!!

  • "Worlhockeynation" England...

  • fucking brilliant keeper!!

Nebenbei, konstante 90 mp/h.... aua, ganz schön schnell

  • great saves and what is the song you have used?

  • using a ball machine which makes saving easier as its very accurate so he know's its going stick side a foot or 2 off the ground

  • his timing is perfect

  • its nice trick to save

  • nice saving wit the stick :)

  • is that net smaller?

  • bunny hop!

  • he doesent have a golly stic

  • Most good golies dont.

  • some goalies dont but its probaly best to haha

  • SIEMPRE LE TIRA AL MISMO LUGAR¬¬

  • he's just great!!!!

  • He's really good =D

  • excelent tecnique..

  • the dutch no.1 is the best, volez (not sure of spelling),he played class in the ehl final, even tho they lost :(

  • His name is Guus VOGELS

  • yhanks :D

  • ur an idiot. It actually says his name! Uli Bubolz.

  • No!!! His name is Uli BUBOLZ

  • Well im pretty sure ball machines don't actually go up to 90 mph so yeah i reckon he should use his right hand and not encourage poor technique.

  • they do.. i have one for the same drills, goes up to 100. Iv never been able to get my right hand over, and im a jr international so im not bad. i do try and use my glove rather than stick tho

  • would u hav time 2 get your hand over when the balls coming at 90mph???thought not.

  • I dont understand why he doesn't use his glove not stick and fire his arm at it. PLus he shoudl engage his left hand to add a security and that will increse the likelihood of saving the flick in the match as greater surface area covered. Not too shabby tho.

  • Uli Bubolz is very strange to watch... some of these saves are immense, obviously he knows where its goin cus its a ball machine but 90mph isnt slow and to pick it with his stick pretty much every time is quality, but Ive seen him amke so many fuck ups in matches... pressure maybe?

  • its good but i could do that infact i have done that and steve mowlam is better

  • I agree that Stephen Mowlam is a better keeper, but Uli Bubolz is certainly not a bad one. I reckon they would be no 1 & 2 goalies in the world...

  • nice keeping i dont reckon for that area with the drag flick u should use your legs artlermaks but if it was a shot or maybe in the other corner use the legs. nice saves though.

  • Nice. but can he hold a dragflick when the bal is shot in the other corner?

  • I'd say that he would be better of to use his legs...but if the point was to use his stick that was preety cool :D. I'm goalie myself and it is preety hard to safe that kind of ball with your stick :D

  • you don't have enough time in a real PC to use your legs on your stick side, and even if you had enough time you would confuse your teammates who are protecting the post and clearing your pads. number 1 rule in PC for keepers, make life easy for your teammates.

  • personally I find it a lot easier to save flicks by diving. When you are prepared to dive, you are prepared to make a save in any of the 4 corners of the goal. When you get prepared to save it with your feet, thats only 2 of the 4 corners.

  • Fucking nice

  • same saves idiots

  • nto realy si whit a bal canon

  • Klasse Reaktion !

  • some goalies might have trouble saving those sort of shots.

    i agree with JonnyA2006

  • good saves, but it makes them easier if you keep hitting them in the same place..

  • this is so good your the best keeper ive ever seen will u teach me how to be such a prick like yourself

  • i don't play hockey,, but that's really good!

a tiny (hard) ball coming that fast at you,, and to aim a quite skinny little stick to get in the way of it is pretty skillful,,

    whats wrong with everyone here!,,

i'd like to see them have a go!

    well done :D

  • fuck you you dumb prick have you ever tried playing the sport? and if it is so stupid y are you watching hockey movies on youtube?

  • Ball machines don't go up to 90mph

  • you can c in everyshot he is allready leaning to the side where the shot is coming if he would get the exact same shot in the match (which he doesn't know is coming there) he won't stop it

and to iwgogr1m some goalies prefer to actually stop those shots with there legguards dun ask me why xD

  • of course if its near their legs they would attempt to save them with their leg guards.. but i have never seen goalies in international matches save drag flicks when they were placed in the same place as in that video...

  • I only said some prefer it :P didn't say it was good haha

  • against the best drag-flickers in the world, there is no way you would have time to save a flick with your leg-guard if it was placed in the bottom corners...

  • The Goal Keper Has Such Limited Sight As The Forwards And Wingers Run In He/She Has Trouble Seeing The Ball ... And In Most Profeshinal Games All The Defenders Have To Were Gum Sheilds AND Mouth Guards Because Those Strikers Can Really hit A Ball !

Its Very Scary And Dangerous And Unless Your Actually Out There On That Pitch, i Know Seeing As I Play Right Back (Right Defender, For All You Non Hockey Num Nuts) lol Its Extreamly Scary To Have A Ball Hurtling Towards You At Very High Speeds !! xxx

  • Even Though They Are In The Same Corner, I Would Really Liek Any1 Or Even A Amature Goalie Try To Save A Couple OF Those Strikes Even With There Leg Gaurds !! Those Saves Are On His Stick FFS !! You Dont Realise How Obstructing And Dangerous a Short Corner Is !! ...

  • it's not exactly impossible to save a drag flick with your stick. i've done it more than once, and broken several sticks in the process. and most keepers practise saving dragflicks with stick or gauntlets (hand guards) so that if it does go wide of their position, they can dive. all you need is fast reactions and good stick control.

  • bob2157 (1 week ago) Show Hide Marked as spam 0 Reply | Spam every shot was the same place....

Bob2157 is right al the shots are on the same place and that's not the only thing he could also just stop the most of those balls with the legguard or kicker althougt he is really quickly greetings

  • thats is absolutely insane... props to you, you're amazing

  • nice saves man :O

  • AMAZING!!! if only i were this good

  • looks like he prefers the normal stick.

(Chile).

  • non è un buon allenamento !!!!!!

  • AAhh,,

That goal is to small,, I think

  • converting problems from 16:9 to 4:3...

  • I think I'd go with my legguard to the ball. But that's personal. I hardly ever go with my stick to a ball like that.

  • deedsishere i agree wiv u im 13 and all stick saves when the ball it like that well im amazed

id love to be able to do that

  • What is this

  • nice... but not hard to make that save when you know its going in the same bottom corner each time

  • Firstly, it is an exercise to practice this shot

Secondly, the balls are 95mph fast (faster then Abaz)

Thirdly, I tried this with other goalkeepers, the ball is so hard, they catched only 3 of 10, not 9 of 10

  • if he is using the stick which i think he is then i have the same stick!

    Gryphon Diablo

  • lol

  • ooh sweet stuff. im a hockey goalie too haha.

  • r u a ice hockey goalie??

  • nah haha im a field hockey goalie :) u?

  • ice hockey.

  • wierd shit

  • weiß heiß diese song???

  • Billy Talent - Red Flag

  • wtf. what sport is it. hockey or soccer

  • i think that it is a good thing to be doing its called muscle memory and if you do something for long enough it becomes part of your natual game.

  • it is crap!

  • the best keeper ive ever seen??

    are u jokin?

i am a keeper too, and normally u dont know where the balls are coming, but in this case he knows...

    this video is crap...

  • well Ulrich Bubolz did make the 06 World All-Star team along with Stephen Mowlam (AUS).... he must be a pretty good goalie (I thought he was in HWC 06)...

  • weak side of the goalie? this is clearly the strong side for most goalies! blatantly too slow for a keeper of this caliber and all in the same place! good strong wrist tho!

  • the guys good, he should also be practising standing back up without showing his back

  • The drill is clearly over, I am sure a keeper of this quality knows what he is doing. I must admit I would like to think I could do nearly as well, he knows exactly where the ball is going and is falling away before the ball has been fired, the shots also dont look that fast IMO.

  • I am keeper as well. dutch competition.. he is doing ok, but they are using a canon as you can hear; the keeper knows where the ball comes?

  • good keeper, they are all at the same spot, goal looks abnit small too

  • nah the film is just stretched (up and down) and also it seems easier (for me that is) to use a field stick instead of a goalie stick

  • ima goalie an i use a mid field sick (built for hard arse shots) and i would give almost anything 4 a proper stick

  • Wow!! The Best Keeper I Ever SEEN!!!

    COOL

  • jungle, they go to that side because it's the "weak" side of the goalie.

  • brilliant

  • good keeper

  • cool hockey

  • Think before you write...! A training needs repetition... basballers and cricketers will run out of the goal if you putt them there...

  • pretty bloody easy when they're all going at the same spot. tell a cricketer or a baseballer exactly where ur gonna put the ball and they'll hit u over the fence every time. this is basically the same thing.

  • The format was widescreen (16:9) and the movie maker changed it to 4:3, thats why it looks a little bit crazy... It's an exercise to simulate low penalty corner flicks. It looks a lot easier than it is, i bet you wouldn't have the save percentage... ;-)

  • It is a mchine but not pratising only drag flicks....As you know after pnalty corner, if the player strikes the ball (and not flick it) then the ball must hit the wooden part under the net. If you notice all the balls are heading to the wooden part. Whenever I strike a penalty corner with a drag flick I always target the net!

  • When I play club level, keepers are very strong both up high and down at their feet. The perfect height is 18 inches off the deck - the bottom of the net, knee height. Keepers don't know whether to save with theiir hands or feet. And they have a third of a second to make up their mind, which usually isn't long enough.

  • es mu repetitivo pro ta mu wappo

  • is the net a weird shape ? luks squarer than usual

  • oh and its not a stroke, that would mean the ball machine was on the p-spot, i think you'll find that it was practice for short/penalty corner dragflick saves!!!!

  • lol lol...save with your feet, at 90mph!!! nice one mate!!! show us that and maybe you could have been top rated goalkeeper at the world cup like this man was!!!!

  • and diffinatley a machine ther coz its going at the same spot

  • i agree he knows exactly where its going each time and is just falling onto the ball with his stick side i'd be tempted to save those with my feet to be honest it may not look as impressive but at least your ready for a second save!

  • mb it wouldn't look so easy if he didn't know where the ball was going and its called a stroke not a penatly corner flick jsut so u no

  • He makes that look stupidly easy :o)

  • *thumbs up*
