Im tired of reading comments that criticizes the anime, well F.Y.I some of the females in the anime are transexual which means they were men before and if you have problems with boomerangs that make tanks explode then make your own anime rather than making this anime look bad... shangri la is a great anime and if you have problems with it then go make your own show!

I finally finished this anime, pretty good I would say, but if I could rewrite this story, I would think that the author should add a little bit Romance to make it sparkle a little bit, there are actually many ways to add it in, but whatever, the anime is still a good one, and now I actually want to read the novel...

@098anime I watched the first episode a few days back. Despite the "bad" designs (i actually think they're pretty decent), the characters so far are pretty likable. The story looks interesting too!

What I found funny in this anime is that it's got the Japanese voice actor of Jiraiya playing as the Fat Transsexual (Mi-ko); even more funny, all his parts always die; Mi-ko dies and so does Jiraiya :P

Everyone seems to really dislike the ending to this show. I thought the whole show, yes EVERYTHING, was great. Granted I don't watch a ton of anime and I'm very picky about what I DO watch, the show was still awesome through and through. It goes in my list of top anime. Others (just so you can see possibly how I came to my conclusion) include Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni (and Kai), .hack//SIGN, Kobato, and the entirity of the Rockman EXE series as well as Starforce/Ryuusei. ^_^

Well, epic may be a bit exaggerated, but it has a pretty decent story for the genre. It's set in the future, where carbon problems have led to drastic action by the government: the emission of carbon is regulated by military law enforcement - and behind the scenes they're making a profit with selling rights for the emission of carbon. A rebel organisation called the Metal Age are fighting against the government - and a third unknown force plans to overthrow it all... (I did try not to spoiler..)
