I used clear Humbrol colour red and blue and into these seperately "mixed " - added water based ink came out very good . Thanks for the ideas . Great video . More please .
Wow very cool bud. I just watched Blacksun's video a few minutes ago too. My question is how durable is the finished product? Would you recommend only doing this to display models? Or does it hold up fairly well with transport and gaming as well? Just curious. Great video regardless!
@VividAdventures2010 Thanks. The finished product is very durable. I don't play yet so my stuff isn't in and out of storage or moved around too much. But the end result is strong, probably due to the fishing string. It takes about 2 days to fully dry and is not tacky at all afterwards. With some care I would think it will hold up well to regular gaming abuse. I'm trying to make an update vid at the moment and if I can remember I'll abuse this one I made and we can all see how it holds up. ;-)
Very nice tut, gave me inspiration. In fact there are not a lot art stores in my area but Uhu you can get here everywhere maybe because it's one of the top brands here in germany ;-)
Thank you for your Tutorial. That little extra effort did help. I did not know how to make goo or slime. I was going to use hot glue and dried pva glue that I died with paint and dried on a piece of glass. I like how you put your own spin to it. Thank you for all your hard work. Keep it Kool and Real Peace!
Awesome Vid man!! I'm planning on doing a game board in the future for my table that i made and i hope to put some sort of industrial factory in there.. Great stuff!! Answered my question perfectly!
@beanofdoom42 Glad it helped bud. Always happy to spread the word and help others learn certain techniques. If you run into any problems when time comes PM me.
@Jedijim252 Thanks dude. No I haven't tried any clear applications as of yet. I'll get bored one day and fiddle with the idea for you. I'll let you know how it goes!
Thank you for the tutorial great work .Really nice believable effects . Hope you are able to get on to your water effects soon . fountain , pond , lake etc . All the best .
Very nice tute bud. Thanks for sharing! I reckon both effects look really cool. To get that two colour separation in the slime maybe try using drops really watered down paint. Still a higher viscosity than ink maybe?
@asjarra Thanks bud. That may work and I'll tr it out. The problem is mainly that the fishing line acts as a wisk of sorts and mixes everything together too much. The enemel/acrylic mix really kept them seperate. I think if I were to do one layer in green then follow it with another layer of very thinned yellow it will give a better seperation. Only practice will tell. ;-)
Bravo. We're doing Oozes in our current A to Z RPG blog series. I'll link your vid as a DIY suggestion. Great job.
