she's got the client's feet in the footspa backwards!!! she dipped her hand into the salt scrub and then after scrubbing the client's foot, dipped her dirty hand back into the salt scrub. That is why there are paddles to scoop out the product, to avoid contamination, not to meantion to avoid nail fungus! Gross!

She did fine but she containated the sea salts by putting the spoon back in there after touching the foot file that she already began using. When you do use products like these put them on the side just enough for the client. You have to remember you have to use that on other people.

I am a nail tech and have been for about 8 years and that is NOT the way a pedicure is done. First thing she done wrong was she should have dried the foot off. Then used the file WITH OUT the salt. If this is done correctly, your file will start to collect skin and then skin will start rolling off. Then you use the salts. Then rinse and dry, Then its time for the message. It should take about 45 min. for a good Pedicure. At the rate she was going she would have been done in 10 min.

I understand that you would not go into as much detail with a home as with a salon pedicure, but the basic things you would do the same. Using the file the correct way is the is what makes the difference of a pedicure either in a salon or just keeping up the maintenence at home...

yeah but that's something you could easily do at home though. like dlikens said, it takes 45 minutes for a good pedicure. if you want it halfway done then do it the same way as the lady did there. you don't need to be a professional to have the perfect pedicured feet. it's really easy.

you can make your own scrub, it's made of 1 cup of sugar and half a cup of virgin olive oil! if you buy it you'll b wasting alot of money!

this actually helped me a lot. i always just used the little stick thigy separately, then just rubbed the exfoliating oil on her whole foot afterwards, and it never quite worked. this might work better! lol

I am a nail tech and have done pedicure for about 8 yrs. The best way to get off dry skin. After getting out of the shower, pat dry your feet, with a good foot file start on the side stay in the same spot until your file will start turning white, keep going and then you will see skin start rolling off. then cover your whole foot, If callus are bad. wait till yor foot is dry the file this will remove thick skin faster and smooth out the rest of your foot too. Then use your scrub.

i think pukkie should have specified, any professional would have. the reason for massaging towards the heart is to prevent lymphatic congestion and to actually stimulate lymphatic drainage. massaging away from the heart will, in some people, cause the feet to retain fluid and swell. you especially need to be careful not to do that to a diabetic or a person with poor circulation to their feet since that could lead to more serious problems.

Yep, most salons offer a specific pedicure treatment for men or they can preform the same treatment as for women without the nail polish (unless you want it!)

Lol being gay has nothing to do with it, lots of guys want to look groomed. Almost all nail salons offer 'gentlemans nail care'... usually a trim, file, buff, moisturize and hand massage. Same for feet. Just look in the windows where there is usually a 'services/price list' or ask inside. xxx

Right, so your a tranny? Whatever, it makes no difference. Yes they can paint your finger and toe nails. Just ask for a regular manicure and pedicure, they will ask if you want the ones for men and just say no. There are no rules about who can have this done.
