alot of people are going say it was trash cuz he said it or the accent,but if you take away the voice and stop following the flock,that was an instant classic,good beats (even though half of them sounded the same),good production,outstanding and meaningful lyrics *and lyricism*,just an all around great album,it actually inspired me to write,plus alot of people say its trash and they want the old "slim shady" back,that was the closest he got to the old slim,didnt like relapse? never liked shady.

I think the albums as a whole tell a story. For example. the song I'm Shady on the Slim Shady LP, is a Prequel to the song I'm back on the Marshall Mathers LP. also look at: The Eminem Show, Encore, Curtain Call, The Re-up.. all of these album names go together. Same with Criminal, Still Dont Give a fuck, and Underground. The intro where he says "alot of people.. " may be his start point to freestyling.Underground ,Criminal, and Still dont give a fuck are known for the rap verses

This album was really good if you ask me. To me, it doesnt sound like comeback album, it sounds more like just-another eminem-album with a Shady twist to it. Compared to his older work I guess hard eminem fans would say this is a let down, but for a hip hop album in general this tops all other albums of 09, originality is at it's max and creativity is everything you'd expect from Em. 4.5/5
