I can't imagine a woodworking situation where that much force would be needed. If it takes anywhere near that much force, the pieces being joined are not right and need work. That said, I think the pipe the Bessey clamps are on will be the weak part. I have never seen a Bessey break but I never saw anybody try to break them either.
