The thing about this mini game is to get bonus mods to use on your agents/zealots. Worth every second spent on it considering that the results of those mods guarantee you almost complete damage resistance (depending on what mods you get obviously ;P )
man i played this game when i was 12 this game rocked my mind with the playstation g police game , now im 27 btw and still a gamer for life!life is real though value ur family when playing :D
The new games just don't live up to the originals...simple reason, once it was more about the games then the profit, today it's more about the profit then the games, and the original titles are just used to make people feel nostalgic and buy them...
lol, those STILL are the days for me, I've upgraded Duke Nukem 3D with the advanced graphics engine (HDRP), am waiting on the Half-Life 1 graphics upgrade to make it look like Half-Life 2, plus going to play Syndicate Wars again this week. ;-)
Yes Russ did do the audio effects, guy was a genius, I did a lot of the graphics for the original syndicate subsequently i did all the bullfrog intros :)
Hi, i remember a demo on a PC Mag cover disk of project creation, the music and concept was cracking. I would love to get hold of the music from that demo. Now that you have moved outa games however not going to happen, but i can dream!.
loved this game, loved blowing up every building ha! this only birds eye view game i ever liked. i can still get it too work on my new pc, but it goes too fucking fast.
It used to run too fast for me too, but then I downloaded DOSBox, which lets me set *exactly* how fast it should go. I had no luck with the various CPU killers I tried, because apparently my CPU is dual core, which still left 50% of it to run the game, making it run too fast.
No, I don't know how to do that, and DOSBOX seems like a much better solution anyway. Taxing the CPU of my previous computer in order to lower the speed of the game never worked very well really. Sometimes mouseclicks wouldn't register the first time I clicked, and camera movements would be choppy.
How were you able to play this? Ive got the game for like 11 years ago and havent been able to play it no more for compatible reasons. Plz help, thanks
Syndicate Wars was, is, and forever will be, THE definitive sequel to Syndicate that is worthy of that title. It is a series that NEEDS to be brought back, and by none other than the original designers themselves. This video gives me goosebumps just thinking of the atmosphere this game had! You didn't need any of the fancy-pants statistics or anything more complicated than knowing your objective and working out how to accomplish it. Truly an awesome game.
One of the Best Games Mr. LesDEDS. PC version is better than the PSX. I play the PC version on my old 900Mhz AMD voodoo 3 3500 Windows 98 pc. I'm glad so many people like this game, but it's like all Syndicate Wars fans hide in the Shadows.
Move along!

I have to say the Syndicate Wars intro was one of the greatest intros in PC game history. Thanks man... and Russel was a genius!

Russ still is a genius :) He is still working but deep deep undercover thesedays.

Do you have any clue how I could contact him if, say, I wanted to hire him?

Russel Shaw made the music and sound i think. If he did, he is one of the most underestimated co-creators of Syndicate Wars.

I also thought that the music playing in the background was the best in the game.

That won't happen as Bullfrog was bought by EA Games, and then disbanded.
