Hello, I have a Macbook pro (September 2010) (2.66GHz intel Core i7, 8GB 1067 MHz DDR3) (Mac OS: Lion 10.7.2) , would like to use 3 monitors with max resolutions ( TWO 24" : 1920x1200 and ONE 22": 1680x1050) Is it possible to do it with this product ? Thank you :)
I'm running two 22" wide monitors now. I'm building a new system and want to add a 3D, 120mhz, 23" monitor. All would run the same 1680x1050 resolution. I am, or had been, at least, planing on two GTX 580 cards in SLI, I'm wondering if one of the Matrox units might help with what I want to do. Anyone have any thoughts?
hi, im kinda worried about buying this product until i can confirm it will work on my setup. i have a 22" monitor with 1680x1050 and 2 19" 1280x1024. I was wondering if it will work by just downgrading the 22" monitor's resolution to be same with the other 2 19" monitor resolution. Will that work? just wanted to confirm that. Hope to get a reply.
@j4nm1k3 Your three monitors have to run at the same resolution. The 22" would need to run at 1280x1024. This would stretch the middle image. What video card are you running?
@WSGF i have asus g73jh a1 it has a mobility 5870 (basicly 5770 desktop) i have and HDMI and a VGA out my resolution is 1600x900 is i get 2 more 1600x900 monitors to put on the side of my built in 1600x900 monitor will this work?? ive read matrox adapter will support 3 displays of 1680x1050 is tis true?? is there a more advanced adapter i could get if it doesnt?? thanks please rpely on the best setup i could get with this
@AGSystem27 I guess it's a matter of opinion, but I don't think so. It's a 43" screen, which puts it as an overall smaller screen real estate than comparable TH2Go or Eyefinity setups.
It is a only 2880x900 resolution, rather low for that size screen. While you don't have hard bezels you do see the seams on the display.
From a size perspective, it is over 15" deep and weighs over 52 pounds. I think if someone ever did this with LCD panels, it would certainly be viable.
I am going to buy some nice 24" screens at $180.00 each equaling $540.00 in total for the three... I am getting a ATI RADEON 5850 which has 2 HDMI or whatever inputs, so... do I really need this thing to play my games with surround gaming?
No. With the new ATI EyeFinity technology, you do not need the TH2Go. You need one screen with a DisplayPort connection. This is a must. The other two can be DVI connections. This is how I'm connected on my new EyeFinity rig 1 DP, 2 DVI
You can try using SoftTH with two GFX. It allows you to drive three monitors from three outputs. But there is a huge performance hit for doing so. And, you can't use SLI with SoftTH
Doesn't sound as nearly affective as this. Any chance you would know where I could get this cheaper than 300$. Even if used, I imagine it wouldn't be messed up so bad I couldn't use it.
@Hardscript I know, I was asking if I really needed to buy this to run 3 monitors or just get a second GFX card :P I got my answer awhile back though, it's not possible with 2 cards unless you have one of the newer ATI cards (which then it's possible with just 1 card).
That will work, as long as they are all the same resolution. Not sure of any 19's being made that are 1680x1050. So I think the max you would get is 3x1440x900, so your center screen would be scaled.
so i got a triplehead2go from a friend but he gave me the analog edt. I have a mac and they both have dvi inputs...i tried the two external monitors with the vga cords and it looked like garbage..i also bought dvi to vga converter for the analog edt. and it didnt recognize the matrox...
my question is...is there a way to get the analog edt. working with the dvi inputs i have on my mac?
Hello, I am thinking of building a 3 monitor computer. So with an ASUS P6T DELUXE V2 Motherboard what would be the best Matrox product in the market? (a reply would be highly appreciated)
I was wondering, can you use three 24" displays (at 1920x1200), or do you have to use three 22" displays, if you want to go triple on the biggest widescreen inch avaliable?
With the new update to the DTH2Go firmware, you can do 3x1680x1050. A number of people on the WSGF are running it with 24" panels. They all agree the stretching isn't bad.
Matrox just recently released an update to support 3x1440x900 and 3x1680x1050. Several people on the forum have 3x24" panels, and don't find the scaling to be a problem.
Yes, you can use either. At the time of this review I was using a GeForce 7950GX2, and now I'm using a 9800GX2. I know of people using Quad SLI as well.
What's the performance degradation like when, say, running a system-intensive game like crysis single monitor vs three monitors via the triplehead2go?
Currently the WSGF does not support 3x1920x1200. The support up to 3x1280x800, which would have to stress across the screens. Hopefully they will be able to add 3x1440x900 and 3x1680x1050. I don't know if they could add 3x1920x1200 based on the the bandwidth and GFX horsepower needed.
Very cool. So this increases your peripheral field of view? How does it affect multiplayer shooters? Does it give them advantages over single monitor users?

Is it posible to use 3D (with glasses) if I have triplehead 2 go and 3 Zalman's 3D 22" monitors? would be awesome with triple 3D ;)

No way to do it with a digital signal. You will need a DVI > VGA cable for the input, and it sounds like that affected your image quality too much.

I want watch blue-ray movies If I hook op 3 monitors whit this one, is that what you are saying
TuttixD 2 years ago
I'm saying that unless you use something like SlySoft's AnyDVD HD, you cannot watch Blu-Ray with the TripleHead2Go.
WSGF 2 years ago
What if I played a .mkv file whit VLC, would that be an option ?
Im rly on to buy the triplehead2go
TuttixD 2 years ago
sure. The issue with Blu-Ray, is that it required HDCP. The TH2Go doesn't have HDCP. You can play any ripped HD file

If u overlap a Bezel unto another then you'll get narrower bezels. Will this be a problem for the "Bezel Management Software" ??? Nice Vid thou.. :)

No, you set the bezel management manually in pixel width. You'd just set a smaller width.
