  • Hello, I have a Macbook pro (September 2010) (2.66GHz intel Core i7, 8GB 1067 MHz DDR3) (Mac OS: Lion 10.7.2) , would like to use 3 monitors with max resolutions ( TWO 24" : 1920x1200 and ONE 22": 1680x1050) Is it possible to do it with this product ? Thank you :)

  • please I do have a question does Matrox TripleHead2Go is working with any graphical Card!!! cause i have ATI HD 4350 ???

  • I'm running two 22" wide monitors now. I'm building a new system and want to add a 3D, 120mhz, 23" monitor. All would run the same 1680x1050 resolution. I am, or had been, at least, planing on two GTX 580 cards in SLI, I'm wondering if one of the Matrox units might help with what I want to do. Anyone have any thoughts?

  • Search for Item number: 120652345762 on ebay UK. If you want one of these Matrox TripleHead2Go's!

  • does this mean you can have 12 screens ?

  • Hi can you use 2 different size monitors with this? Eg. 27" center and two 22" either side? Thanks

  • i have an ASUS HD 5770 on crossfire. Glad to hear that.

  • hi, im kinda worried about buying this product until i can confirm it will work on my setup. i have a 22" monitor with 1680x1050 and 2 19" 1280x1024. I was wondering if it will work by just downgrading the 22" monitor's resolution to be same with the other 2 19" monitor resolution. Will that work? just wanted to confirm that. Hope to get a reply.

  • @j4nm1k3 Your three monitors have to run at the same resolution. The 22" would need to run at 1280x1024. This would stretch the middle image. What video card are you running?

  • @WSGF i have asus g73jh a1 it has a mobility 5870 (basicly 5770 desktop) i have and HDMI and a VGA out my resolution is 1600x900 is i get 2 more 1600x900 monitors to put on the side of my built in 1600x900 monitor will this work?? ive read matrox adapter will support 3 displays of 1680x1050 is tis true?? is there a more advanced adapter i could get if it doesnt?? thanks please rpely on the best setup i could get with this

  • Does it support all games ? namly Blackshot ?

  • Does this work with vista?

  • @Yeorgeypoo Yes

  • @WSGF does this work with win7?

  • @MackanOwns yes

  • will this work good with projectors???

  • @blikeborrego It will. Projection installations are becoming more common. You might also want to check out the ATI Eyefinity technology.

  • I prefer a superwide monitor, three monitor have edges

  • @AGSystem27 The superwide monitors also cost about $6k

  • @WSGF Yes, but its better. No?

  • @AGSystem27 I guess it's a matter of opinion, but I don't think so. It's a 43" screen, which puts it as an overall smaller screen real estate than comparable TH2Go or Eyefinity setups.

It is a only 2880x900 resolution, rather low for that size screen. While you don't have hard bezels you do see the seams on the display.

From a size perspective, it is over 15" deep and weighs over 52 pounds. I think if someone ever did this with LCD panels, it would certainly be viable.

  • ur free to go early

  • Wow Matrox made this incredable display product... I hope they keep updating their tech for fufture adaptors for gaming.

  • $556

  • I am going to buy some nice 24" screens at $180.00 each equaling $540.00 in total for the three... I am getting a ATI RADEON 5850 which has 2 HDMI or whatever inputs, so... do I really need this thing to play my games with surround gaming?

  • No. With the new ATI EyeFinity technology, you do not need the TH2Go. You need one screen with a DisplayPort connection. This is a must. The other two can be DVI connections. This is how I'm connected on my new EyeFinity rig 1 DP, 2 DVI

  • BEAUTIFUL! Thanks, I really didn't want to buy this thing, +300 more, geez that's alot. :S

  • yes you do.

  • No you don't, not with EyeFinity Technology.

  • So in reality... Is this 300$ device really needed if you have 2 GFX cards?

  • You can try using SoftTH with two GFX. It allows you to drive three monitors from three outputs. But there is a huge performance hit for doing so. And, you can't use SLI with SoftTH

  • Doesn't sound as nearly affective as this. Any chance you would know where I could get this cheaper than 300$. Even if used, I imagine it wouldn't be messed up so bad I couldn't use it.

  • you dont need 2 cards for this

  • @Hardscript I know, I was asking if I really needed to buy this to run 3 monitors or just get a second GFX card :P I got my answer awhile back though, it's not possible with 2 cards unless you have one of the newer ATI cards (which then it's possible with just 1 card).

  • i didnt read it correctly i am running 3 screens on 2 gtx 285's atm so u dont

  • Question:

Is it posible to use 3D (with glasses) if I have triplehead 2 go and 3 Zalman's 3D 22" monitors? would be awesome with triple 3D ;)

  • I'm not sure, but it would be fun to find out.

  • is it possible to use different sized monitors, for example;

22" in the middle and two 19" models either side ? would that work ?

  • That will work, as long as they are all the same resolution. Not sure of any 19's being made that are 1680x1050. So I think the max you would get is 3x1440x900, so your center screen would be scaled.

  • ok cheers man, I have a GTX 9 series, only two ports i think, how can i get it to connect a 3rd screen without spending trillions ?

    Thanks for ur time bud.

  • just buy 3 of these: Hanns·G HW-191DPB Black 19" 5ms Widescreen for only 99.99$

  • question..

so i got a triplehead2go from a friend but he gave me the analog edt. I have a mac and they both have dvi inputs...i tried the two external monitors with the vga cords and it looked like garbage..i also bought dvi to vga converter for the analog edt. and it didnt recognize the matrox...

my question is...is there a way to get the analog edt. working with the dvi inputs i have on my mac?

    appreciate any feed back..thanks

  • No way to do it with a digital signal. You will need a DVI > VGA cable for the input, and it sounds like that affected your image quality too much.

  • I want watch blue-ray movies If I hook op 3 monitors whit this one, is that what you are saying

  • I'm saying that unless you use something like SlySoft's AnyDVD HD, you cannot watch Blu-Ray with the TripleHead2Go.

  • What if I played a .mkv file whit VLC, would that be an option ?

Im rly on to buy the triplehead2go

  • sure. The issue with Blu-Ray, is that it required HDCP. The TH2Go doesn't have HDCP. You can play any ripped HD file

  • Great, Gonna buy 3 monitors and that triplehead2go now then

  • How did that work out? :)

  • I have 3 24" monitors the the tripplehead2go thingy-o

its AWESOME i spend 168USD on it :P

  • Nice, maybe i'll go for it too :)

    Thanks

  • this will all be replaced by next gen OLED where it would possible to have a one single curved display.

  • I agree. but the day that those are widely available at a competitive price is a long way away

  • Hello, I am thinking of building a 3 monitor computer. So with an ASUS P6T DELUXE V2 Motherboard what would be the best Matrox product in the market? (a reply would be highly appreciated)

    Thank you.

  • The TripleHead2Go Digital Edition is what you need.

  • Silly question - what's the game being shown in the 4:3, 16:10 and triple-screen size demonstration around the 0:25 mark?

  • Sorry for the late reply. It is "Overlord"

  • If u overlap a Bezel unto another then you'll get narrower bezels. Will this be a problem for the "Bezel Management Software" ??? Nice Vid thou.. :)

  • No, you set the bezel management manually in pixel width. You'd just set a smaller width.

  • Great video.

I was wondering, can you use three 24" displays (at 1920x1200), or do you have to use three 22" displays, if you want to go triple on the biggest widescreen inch avaliable?

  • With the new update to the DTH2Go firmware, you can do 3x1680x1050. A number of people on the WSGF are running it with 24" panels. They all agree the stretching isn't bad.

  • Are widescreen monitors usable with triplehead2go digital? Thinking of getting three 24" widescreens. Any thoughts?

  • Matrox just recently released an update to support 3x1440x900 and 3x1680x1050. Several people on the forum have 3x24" panels, and don't find the scaling to be a problem.

  • The Triplehead2go is around 300€ here, is there anything cheaper?

  • That's about the running price in the US.

  • I have a notebook and 2 LCD monitors with different sizes. Would they work? My main use is for multi tasking.

  • You could use it in Dual Head Mode. You could also get a DualHead2Go

  • Hi. What GPU are you using? Can you use SLI/CrossfireX on the Triplehead2go? Thanks!

  • Yes, you can use either. At the time of this review I was using a GeForce 7950GX2, and now I'm using a 9800GX2. I know of people using Quad SLI as well.

  • What's the performance degradation like when, say, running a system-intensive game like crysis single monitor vs three monitors via the triplehead2go?

  • I don't know for Crysis (as I haven't tested it) but you can see examples of the performance impact in my review of the GeForce 9800GX2 at the WSGF

  • What would the resolution be for 3 x 24" Dell's, and do games support such resolutions, or do you have to manually change the .ini file?

  • Currently the WSGF does not support 3x1920x1200. The support up to 3x1280x800, which would have to stress across the screens. Hopefully they will be able to add 3x1440x900 and 3x1680x1050. I don't know if they could add 3x1920x1200 based on the the bandwidth and GFX horsepower needed.

  • Cool im using 2 x XFX 8600gt 1gb And running 3 AG NEOVO Gaming 17" monitors with 3ms response rate

  • too much money???

Lol, I could just dream of gear like that!

  • That would be cool without these ugly monitor frames...I prefer a projectior even for lover video quality but NO FRAMES!

  • I'm hoping to afford three projectors, to shoot video of that setup.

  • Doh! I forgot to ask; what are you using to mount your monitors to the wall. What monitors are you using?

  • Very cool. So this increases your peripheral field of view? How does it affect multiplayer shooters? Does it give them advantages over single monitor users?

  • Some shooters allow the greater FOV. Some don't. Check out the videos of TF2. It looks great

  • Nice... I really need to get me one of them. Damn 6k gone already from my pocket xD

  • They are really nice. A whole new scope on gaming.
