It'll respond within seconds of any American strike against any target. Iran knows Americas aerial assault will be massive & extensive. Again, what good is a Phalanx, when its designed to interdict a missile following a straight line trajectory. Its not designed to destroy a missile flying a ballistic trajectory

Remember this is no Harpoon or Tomahawk missile, this is not subsonic, and it does not fly a straight path. It has onboard ECM capabilities, on board radar. Again, stop thinking "Harpoon" piece of shit missile.

Has Phalanx been tested against this missile? No. That opens it to SPECULATION, phalanx or not.

Also, this missile is not the threat facing your precious Carriers if you attack Iran.

You should be worried about Diesel Electric submarines lurking in littoral waters, which are plagued by fishing trawlers, container ships, and NOISE. Lots of NOISE and interference.

The KILO would be hard to find submerged in this environment, and phalanx wont protect the carrier.

On and since you asked, there are ESSM and Phalanx for defence on the Nimitz class.

It can target one track at a time thats it, and on a carrier, the firing arcs are arranged so that there are no blind spots, ALTHOUGH, a drawback of this setup is it also prevents the mount on the opposite side of the vessel in terms of the vector of attack, from engaging incoming threats.

Do you know what a saturated attack is? Well it's the method that would be employed to sink a carrier with ASM's
