  • What do you guys think is better Pride of Nations or Europa Universalis 3 I don't know which one to buy

  • @ThePlaschke98 Gym membership.

  • This game reminds me of Imperialism, it seems really nice.

  • Nice... But not nearly Vicky.

  • something like victoria 2?

  • Never mind i figured it out, the hot key is "B"

  • I am more used to the totalwar type but this game is large step up

  • The American Flag is backwards in this game, that's kinda wierd.

For those that don't know the blue star portion of the Flag must always be located in the upper left section of the flag, Here it's located in the upper right.

  • @unclearimage The pole of the flag is in the right place. The "wind" is blowing it in the wrong direction.

  • @unclearimage

nobody cares about silly american flag rules

  • It looks crap in comparison to Victoria II... Sorry :/ I like that game

  • @YesIamEccentric It probably is but still why not try it out. I mean I love Hearts of Iron 3, Vicky 2, and EU 3 yet I still play games that are not as good.

  • @XIronChancellorX ya Paradox should have bigger budget perhaps they qwould make a badass game that will own game like napoleon total war

  • how do you train diplomats/open the diplomatic talks i wanna colonize but in order to do like anything colonial you gota have a diplomat

  • ï kñöw ï $öüñÐ $tüpïÐ büt P@r@Ðöx ï$ th3 b3$t g@m3 m@kïñg ¢ömp@ñÿ 3v3r :))

  • OMG, so many graphs and stuff! I remember how I first time played Europa Universalis... I was confused!

  • when did this came out? MMmmm I see Russian flag there :P

  • I really don't like this style of game, but its interesting that they're expanding their scope.

  • Can this game run on a intel g33 (gma3100) computer?

  • Any body know of a good lets play with this game it helps me decide if i want to buy it or not

  • It doesn't use the Clausewitz Engine!

It's nothing like Victoria and Europa Universalis.

    Is it beter or worse?

  • Did they travel through time to get a real Victorian gentleman to explain the game to us? Awesome! :)

  • @frejarimmer Saying 'you wouldn't want to go further' when people have been asking to do so for a long time just doesn't make logical sense because clearly people DO want to go further. I don't see why not have the option, just to mess around.

  • @frejarimmer I like both the Paradox published wargames and the Total War series games. The wargames published by Paradox are usually more complex in many aspects but it certainly is not any more of a 'serious' or 'true' strategy game then the Total War series. I find the Total War series far more challenging then HOI3, EU3 or any of the other Paradox published war games I have played. I do love them both equally though.

  • Total War series are for babies.

  • ogott what is that ? better i play my.... total war series more animation ,better graphic etc

  • This game actually looks better than V2. V2 sucked to be honest.

  • looks like shit needs more explosions and big tits

  • I love your ideas for the interface. That dynamic map is absolutely great!

  • Seems more like a chore and simulation than a game.

  • EU3 was one of the most boring games I have ever playing in my life, sitting around waiting for things to happen in the game historically, waiting for buildings to be built, waiting for trade to be done, you couldnt fight battles because of the cassus belli system either. This game will no doubt be exactly the same but just more complex in the wrong places. The trading for example looks mind numbingly dull.

  • @nstutt This is not a Paradox game, this is a Ageod game.

  • Comment removed

  • That is all well and good but does it suffer, like every other Paradox game has, from the constant chasing around of armies after battles and the terrible Paradox cassus belli system that makes taking over countries a real pain. They need to take a look at Ageod who do far better games.

  • @nstutt You are aware that this is an AGEOD game which is simply being published by Paradox, right?

  • @nstutt Terrible casus belli system? Bullshit. It's not Total War. Casus belli is the best thing in this game. It forces you to use diplomacy and constantly think about relations with other countries. Without it players would steamroll through the continent (and even the world) with ease (as it happened in previous versions of EU) and that would quickly get boring.

  • @xqtr74

His issue seems to be more with the way the casus beli system is used, rather than the casus beli system itself.

  • @Paradoxplaza, you mention sandbox mode which removes restrictions... my question to you is does this include time limit? Can i play past the end date in sandbox mode? I love Europa and Victoria etc but i hate it when i just want to dominate the world yet have to do it by a certain date. If sandbox mode removes this restriction you have sold another copy. :)

  • I just wish paradox would STOP making games with time limit i love all there games but i Hate the time limit!just give us a option to continue pass the date if we wanted to.

  • @kxr225522 Fully agree with you, i love Europa and the one thing that i dislike is end date. I want to carry on until i either conquer everyone or get conquered. I don't care if Technology stops at a certain date just let me play on!!!

  • @Masher8559 Just FYI, the end date is just in a text file, it's read simple to open it with notepad, and change it from 1821 to 9999 or whatever. :)

  • @goodgimp I know this, as i did this in games like Europa, however once the game reaches the end of the tech the game will always crash unless you add more tech. I would like to see a mode where we can play past the end date and even continue when your nation has completed all research. :)

  • @kxr225522 I just wish Paradox would STOP making games like these as I have a time limit in real life. Lol.

  • @kxr225522 Just live with time limits... remember on the plus side, at least the game tells you when it ends, unfortunately your life is less kind. :P

  • @kxr225522 You can do a 10 second tweak to all games and remove the time limit by setting it to a date like 31st December, 99999. Still strange why its even there, though.

  • @kxr225522 Except this isn't Paradox. This is made by Ageod, who was founded by the guy who made the Europa Universalis Board game. Paradox has published the game.

  • @kxr225522

It so easy to modify paradox games that it doesn't take but a moment to extend the timeline.

  • Comment removed

  • @kxr225522 I believe he mentioned something about a sandbox mode.

  • @kxr225522 There is a reason that changing the end time is done by editing a text file.

  • @kxr225522 or you oculd just change the end date

  • @kxr225522 I agreed with that, but that how they make more profits with multi-games. Only games i like from Paradox is Mount and Blade and AoD, the rest is garbages!

  • @kxr225522 Making History 2 does that! Check the game out!

  • @kxr225522 Well, you can easily change the ending date. Go to your games directory, open common file, and in there you will see the txt file DEFINES, open that and you wil see Start_date Last_Start_Date End_Date

Change your end date to 9999, just change the year, don't change the month or the day. I hope i helped :)

  • Aww... the Ottoman Empire may have been the sick man of Europe, but it was still a great power even at the time... a shame you can't play as the successor to the Roman Empire!

  • This game looks like Vicky on the outside, but its very different. The military system looks much like those of AEGODS American Civil War. Which i didnt like so much, because the combat system lacked frontage and made it impossible for me to see where the frontier rly was. I hope this is better and that you can see stuff better.

  • @pipenissen Guess what. This is Ageod.

  • This looks fantastic

  • WOW this looks ultra-complex! Which is something i like for turnbased strategy.

Makes me have to do a lot of stuff and thinking for each turn, which is often the fun part.

  • Take my money!

  • Looking forward to this game. ^^

Deep, complex, challenging game that'll teach you something at the same time and will give you some real insight into why history unfolded the way it did.

    It's a real bargain for $20.

  • you got my money

  • @davelantor this is turnbased, and appears to have different mechanics to vicky 2.

  • @davelantor They are not the same mechanics. Each of the games look superficially identical, but each game in paradox's grand strategy series is unique in very important and fundamental ways.

Also, Sword of the Stars 2 is coming if you want sci-fi. :)

  • @DasGuntLord01 exactly :D, more dev team should be diverted to it :P, decrease the deadline or increase the content.

  • Looks good. :D
