The more one listens to this bhajan, the more one thinks of Gandhiji. He said the ultimate "swaraj" was conquest of the narrow self within our own individual beings. Despite the bad reputation of the word jihad these days,the truest concept of jihad too has always meant an internal spiritual struggle for making oneself a more caring and compassionate person, not a destroyer of life. You said it all very eloquently, Dear Ritu.

Dear Uncle, My Dear Departed Sweet Pa believed the SAME, imparted that philosophy to me, thankfully, & * lived by it*, as observed by those around him, not just me. :) He just was not as widely KNOWN as Gandhiji.:)
