  • my honda ccord 95 back brake making sound when i drive, so can i do the same on my car? thanks

  • @odom2424 We currently do not have an auto repair video that shows this particular repair on this vehicle. You should be able to apply some of the basics shown in the video.

  • its not that hard i thought it would of been harder then this

  • if i only need to replaced the pads dont have to removed the caliper ?

  • @w3figueroa Yes you would need to remove the caliper.

  • thanks so much Good Bless you

  • Great video, thank you!!

  • I have a 91 accord that I'm wanting to change the front breaks on. How different/similar is mine from your 94??

  • @CAMisMissing Changing the brake pads on your 1991 Honda Accord, should be exactly the same as the 1994 Honda Accord shown in the video.

  • @1aauto yep, sure was. Thanks for the reply.

  • Is it possible to do this task without air tools? By the way your ABS video was incredibly helpful.

  • @TheDio Yes you can perform this with basic hand tools. Sometimes we use air tool just to speed things up. Hope this helps.

  • is this the same for a 99 accord

  • @hp11208 It may be similar, but might not be exactly the same as the earlier model years.

  • @Lal0Mx Currently we do not have a video that shows you how to replace the rotors on a Honda Accord. It involves taking a few more components off.

  • Hi great video do u have a video for Honda Civic 2004?

  • @birminghamwebstudios We do have some videos on our channel that are the same for the 2004 Honda Civic.

  • im 14 but i know i can do this if i put my mind to it

  • Perfect Teaching thank you so much, congratulations sir you helped me alot!

  • I think this is different from my 94 ex.

  • Fantastic video! Helped me to do this for the first time in my life! Great help.

  • where is the video on replacing rotors on 96 accord

  • lol love the drilled/slotted rotors on the 95 accord

  • Thanks, I will try it tomorrow and will let you know if it worked.

  • any recommendation if I can't get the 17 mm bolt to loosen so I can remove it?

  • @xnnhhnnx you could try to spray it with some penetrating oil to loosen it up.

  • @xnnhhnnx use some wd 40 or oil similar to it I had the same trouble and the car fell on my toe. haha so yea that helps

  • @xnnhhnnx I ran into the same problem and realized I would have to become a gorilla with the dexterity of a seamstress,or go to Plan B:procure an impact wrench.I settled on an electric model(looks like a drill).Menards or Harbor Freight would be the cheaper options in this course of action.

  • great video! I just did this on my Accord today for the first time, and had absolutely no problems. thanks 1A!

  • great video! I just did this on my Accord today for the first time, and had absolutely no problems. thanks A1!

  • Dude Love The GTO in the Back!..aw that year is like My Dream Car..I love starin at it cant wait to own one tho!..thanks for the Video it Helped alot!

  • I have a 95 civic and my piston won't go back in. I've used the clamp and I've bleed the brakes and no dice. What do you recommend I do, because I'm out of Ideas lol. I'd appreciate the help.

  • great video. i have a 96 accord i take care of although when i got to removing the caliper bolts i almost had a hernia and bend my ratchet trying to get them loose. ended up taking it in after all and spending the money. you should cover stuck bolts in the video. Thanks!

  • great work...

  • awesome! great video thanks alot!!

  • Great video. At what point and where do you lubricate? I have heard not to apply it to the pads.

  • @djhubinsky You want to lubriacte the pins that the calipers slide in.

  • what are you pressing with that c clamp and can you use anny other toll than a clamp

  • @wolfgang15425 I am pressing the pistion back in to the caliper. You can use a crow bar to pry the caliper toward the outside of the car while it is still mounted.

  • GOOD VID! my Honda civic shakes a lot when i brake at 50mph or more and when I brake in traffic the brakes make a noise like it hits something not grinding and car jerks side to side but only a little if I barley press the brake pedal. If a press the brake hard it does not make noise but the car still jerks side to side forward motion. Do u know what it might be? Any help is appreciated!

  • @GeneralGuanaco You could have multiple problems. The Shaking is usually the brakes. The side to side could be worn tie rods, steering rack, ball joints or suspension bushings.

  • Wait. So when you depress the piston into the bore of the caliper with the C-clamp, it stays in when you take off the clamp, right?

  • @aukemist It should, You may need to take off your master cylinder cover. I usually don't because it is not an airtight seal. If your master cylinder is full to the top it could cause pressure buildup and force the piston back out

  • 3. The lower outer bolt is a B**** to remove and replace! Both of mine were rusted and different part numbers! D:< When removing the outer bolts I figure i will need a hammer and punch to unseat the suction. Still haven't figured a way to get them back in easily by hand...

Anyway, thanks again. You not only showed me how, but gave me the confidence to do it myself! :D

  • Just did this on both my front tires, after cruising through this video. Helped out alot, thank you.

I will mention a few things though, for people planning to do it themselves.

    1. If you don't have air wrench equipment, you will need a long (18") handle wrench to get the bolts OFF.

    2. I only found the need to remove the inner calipers (outer bolts). The shape of the outer calipers allow for the pucks to be slid out and in without much trouble.

  • man i got robed by my mechanic he took 300 S for this !!?

  • @mkoujan If it was just your pads then yeah that is steep. The rotors on these cars are a pain, so if they turned or replaced your rotors then I'd say you got a fair deal. If you need info or other parts please visit our youtube channel or website. Thanks!!

  • My Bad! The wheel Lug nuts are 19mm not 18mm. Throughout the video I talk about the size bolts on this car, The sizes of nuts and bolts on your car could be different, please keep that in mind.
