ok i love this vid cuz you see Kamille fully healthy and running on a beach happily with Fa, second about the unicorn thing. Kamille should not really go back into a cockpit and fight again if he indeed became a doctor on the moon. feels much better than killing people again surely. Judau gets some action in older days under a different identity as a man called Grey stroke in crossbone gundam skullheart and again in Victory gundam.

how in the world is this series not in America yet? we literally have every UC animated TV & OVA series & movie except this one and V. it's weird, the UC legacy feels so incomplete to me. we have the original show and movies, Zeta and its movies, CCA, and Unicorn. ZZ is right in the middle of it all and considering Unicorn & CCA (which both have US releases) make major references to ZZ (which does not), some American viewers are sure to be lost.

@lemmehaviet they are "MIA" but different sources claim different statuses. i think we'd have to ask Tomino himself where they would be, if they in fact were alive. at any rate, they took advantage of the two men's lost statuses and quickly took the UC far into the future with F91 and Victory, leaving all the old characters--considering they survived, and we know who did or not--behind. Unicorn and Hathaway's Flash clean up some of the years in between. but still with Char and Amuro...who knows.

New cast, new humorous feel...it totally balances out the entire franchise's audience up to that point. If anything, Gundam Unicorn has HUGE references to ZZ that many American fans simply dont get cuz we don't have ZZ. And what sense does it make for us to witness and understand the 2nd Neo Zeon war in CCA, but not the 1st Neo Zeon War? What kind of crap is that? Not cool lol

@b09h what? it'd be SO wack if camille just woke up from his coma mid-series and became the protagonist. first of all, he wouldn't work in such a comedic series. secondly, they did that in Gundam S Destiny and it sucked. ZZ is much more of its own series than a "second season" to Zeta Gundam so i'm glad they kept kamille at bay and gave judau the main spot. same thing if Amuro took Camille's spot in Zeta Gundam. that really woulda sucked too. i like funny judau :) but that's just me.

i wonder which series had a more severe death count, zeta gundam or gundam SEED? i like ZZ's dose of humor, even if ridiculous and not traditional. considering the depth of zeta and victory's dark aspects, it's nice to have at least one gundam series to smile about. even if most people don't like it haha.

one thing i never got about Gundam ZZ is how Leina and Sayla Mass knew each other. Or ran into each other. Or why Leina wanted to keep herself from her brother. They're cute kid siblings though, most Gundam pilot protagonists don't have little brothers or sisters to look after. Seabook is an exception tho.

@lemmehaviet hahaha that would've been incredible. i always thought too that it would be awesome if CCA had a scene with kamille in which he runs into char, and they talk about char's plans and if kamille agrees with his methods or not, considering they were the two main characters in zeta gundam. since amuro didn't agree i couldn't see kamille agreeing,. but it'd be great just to see him...or even judau...again.

@frozenray0079 Actually Kamille was in the manga, he was a docter with Fa while CCA occured. Judau was probably in Jupiter. I wonder if caspval(the original Char) and Amuro Ray are still alive. Imagine if Judau,Kamille,Char, or Amuro would appear in Unicorn.

Unicorn does such a good job connecting itself to the original series, zeta, & (especially) zz & CCA that i'm pretty content with those characters not coming back. i'm content with amuro & char being "dead" because CCA was so epic it could only end in a way like that. tho it's still a mystery where they "went", CCA promised a sense of closure and somehow still delivered

saegusa was never meant to be killed, the production team intentionally put him back in the finale just to show that he was only badly injured in ep2, not killed.

There are colonies in orbit around Jupiter. Helium-3 is mined there. I believe in Zeta Gundam Scirrocco arrives from Jupiter with his Jupitris class ship.

But yeah best part in an otherwise unremarkable series, which is too bad UC Gundam is arguably the best Gundam Universe.

I would have also liked to seen some zeta/zz character in Char's Counterattack as well, but in a way I'm also glad they weren't in it because like zeta gundam Char's Counterattack had a high causality rate among the main characters, even Astonaige dies in it.

I was actually referring to Marida Cruz but you're right, Aubrey is is in Unicorn. I don't know if there's any information released on what she did between the end of Zeta and Unicorn. She was likely in the care of Zeon people though.

@Ginga no way! that's so cool they made that connection to Double Zeta! what with this series coming to America and Zeta being stateside for six years...and CCA longer than that... now I wonder if they'll EVER release ZZ stateside. I really hope so because even tho the series is pretty looked down upon, Judau's one of my favorite pilots. Gundam pilots are always so serious or gloomy but Judau, like Duo, brings a different vibe. i like it.

Yep. I was surprised when I first read who she was too. Great touch from Unicorn's author. As for ZZ, I'm hoping it does get brought to the states eventually because it's a good series. I couldn't stand the first half but the second half had some really memorable episodes. I like Judau too; he isn't one of my favorite pilots but I came away from ZZ liking him more than Amuro or Kamille. I'm still indifferent in regards to Kamille and only liked Amuro after Zeta.

@Ginga ah. i love amuro ray so much. next to duo, amuro's my favorite. i did enjoy his return in zeta gundam as a supporting character. i love kamille too because he's so different from amuro, very angry and deals with much more tragedy than amuro but allows that to help him mature throughout the series. it would've been the best for him to have a cameo, maybe even a conversation with his previous partners amuro or char, in CCA.

I'm probably wrong but I really think two of the three people seen at the end of CCA hiking that turn around to look at Axis split in the sky are Fa and Kamille. I've only been able to watch CCA online and the quality is never good but the two certainly look like they could be Kamille and Fa.

CCA was great...that movie could have perfectly ended Gundam period. but i'm so happy they decided to move on because 0080 was one of the best productions they've ever done

You should definitely check out the end of CCA. I have my issues with CCA but it's still the best Gundam movie in my opinion. I couldn't agree more about 0080. It was the first UC series I watched(bought it at an anime convention) and I absolutely loved it. The characters, plot, music were all top-notch.

@Ginga yeah, i think CCA's the best gundam movie too...i also really loved Gundam movie II. fantastic haha. the gundam movie trilogy was my introduction to the UC and then i fell into the metaseries basically however they released it stateside from there. so i saw 0080 after seeing the original series, 08th MS Team, and the original movie trilogy. and i must say...0080, for as short as it is, it kicks any other UC show's butt completely. even 0083. i'm still amazed at it.

The original and Zeta are the only UC series I'd rank ahead of 0080. 0083 was solid but once they introduced the love triangle, part of me checked out. The battles were incredible though. GATO...!!!

@Ginga haha yeah the love triangle was unnecessary, but interesting to me considering it had never really been done before. 0083 was just so incredibly intense and epic thanks to the art direction and the music. oh i love the UC it just never gets old. I wonder if Gundam X and Turn A Gundam are still, although alternative universes, canonically connected to the UC because X insinuates it, and Turn A straight up says it. probably not but how interesting. You like those ones?

The love triangle had been in Mobile Suit Gundam with Amuro, Char and Lalah. It had also been done(technically) in ZZ with Judau, Elle and Beecha. I agree 0083 was pretty intense though. I haven't watched Turn A and only started watching X recently. I'm actually stuck on Episode 1 and can't seem to find time watch it. The first episode was pretty interesting though.

@Ginga wow how did that not cross my mind...poor lalah. i've only seen (TINY) parts of X and Turn A really. I like the characters of both shows. X seems heavily inspired by both Gundam Wing and 0079, it being the only alternate universe series involving Newtypes. I grew up on Wing, so it's definitely my favorite Gundam show, although imperfect haha. It is what it is. I just watched the first half of SEED Destiny. i love it but still so disappointed!! shoulda been called Gundam SEED Redundancy.

I've heard X is inspired by GW and the original as well. I grew up on GW too and am aware of it's flaws, especially in comparison with some other series but I love it anyway. It doesn't deserve some of the ignorant hype it gets but doesn't deserve the senseless hate either. I've heard some bad things about SEED and Destiny. When I'm done X, I plan to watch both of them to see if they're any good.

@Ginga SEED is totally awesome--it's really a pseudo-remake of (or tribute to) the original series, and Destiny gives Zeta Gundam the same kind of parallel respect. they do branch off into their own individual paths though. you'll like SEED i'm sure, the technology of that show is particularly interesting and the action is worthy of a 0083 comparison. the gundams themselves are beautiful and they all carry interestingly apt names. give destiny some time hahaha

Yeah. It was kinda a moment of awesomeness for both. Judau was furious that the Federation had taken so long to mobilize and Bright understood how upset he was and told him that if he really needed to, Judau would just have to punch him.

So Judau did. He got revenge for all those men Bright struck, and Bright helped Judau through a rough patch.
