Because in 1 episode of Star Trek Voyager Tim Russ Aka Tuvok Tells Janeway and Showes Her about his 1st Posting which is on the USS Excelsior Which is Sulus Ship in The Undiscovered Country TMP Movie
Star Trek has always been my favourite show. Although I've never heard of Tim Russ or any of the cast of ST Voyager, they've become favourites of mine throughout the series. I hope Star Trek continues indefinitely, whether it's on tv or via internet (You Tube, etc.). Viva Star Trek!

Plus his own Star Trek production "Of Gods and Men", despite a shoestring budget, had more heart, respect and love for Star Trek than anything started after DS9, including that pile of shit JJ Abrams made.
@ReverendSyn - The character of Tuvok could be even more aloof & cool towards the crew than Spock, & later on, T'Pol. A very competent character, but not someone who would be very sociable.
I didn't know Tim Russ had so many " irons in the fire " since Voyager. & IBD if he doesn't sound like & somewhat resemble Barack Obama ( Since several others have brought it up. ).
@malaka1212 I was thinking the same thing. Whenever Pres. Obama speaks, I've had this vague sense of "where have I heard that style of speaking before?" Now I know--and I wonder why I didn't catch it before. :P
I just realized that, with his demeanor, tonality, and acting style... he could seriously play Barack Obama if there is ever going to be an onscreen depiction of the U.S.'s first black president.
