  • Lamarckian evolution is something you'd see in sapient machines. They'd desire a change, and start designing that change into their basic designs.

    But that does not involve genetics and is not applicable to life. It's interesting, but life goes about in a much cruder way. It's more of, whatever manages to breed passes on it's traits. And as the environment is dynamic lifeforms either adapt to it or die over the generations.
