As much as I love Whoopi and think she did an incredible job hosting last year, it was one of the pitfalls of this telecast that the Tony's were treated like a three-hour commercial for Broadway. I understand the theatre has been in trouble, but it has been for years. Whoring out like this isn't the solution.
