To make the batteries to power these EVs has a huge environmental impact. The EV will have to travel many miles to balance the impact before it begins to pay off, but sadly the distance is so huge, most EVs will never cover the distance in its life time. There is also the electricity needed from the NG to charge the batteries and if the EV needs a new battery at some point, then you can see how much of a waste of time the concept is. Hopefully the piston engine will be around for many years yet.
when u r comparing something.... don't compare a choc cookie with a bar of chocolate u fool. This car is the best in EVs..compare with EVs if u like.. an utter idiot
For all the people knocking electric cars and electric car lovers the first ever car built was electric. These cars are ground braking with their distanses. So when you cant buy gas for your car just simply use ur electric one, oh thats ride some of u still have gusseling Volvos.
hahaha anyone who buys an electric car OR specifically a G-Wiz is a COMPLETE IDIOT loool pathetic eco-friendly rubbish!!!!!!!! 4X4's In London 4eva! Petrol will be here forever ELECTRIC CRAP WILL DIE OUT LIKE THE DINOSAURS!
whenever i see it i want to ask the owner: did he ever saw it or drove it, before buying.... Cause i would rather eat the money than spend on that THING....
my friends dad has one of these and he fitted a towbar and a trailer and he drove it 402 miles up and down the m6 because he had a diesel generator in the trailer and and it running the whole time
@razzberry315 haha, nice one. He should make a video showing the conversion. I always thought pure electrics should come with an optional small trailer generator for long trips. Range problem solved!
dont forget people that it is not classed as a car so exempt from most European crash test rules and what if some one in a landrover crashes into you at 30 mph wile you are going at 25 mph i think it might bee too mutch energy for the structure
Unsafe, slow, cramped, expensive unreliable, AND you look like a massive cunt.
Not even THAT green if you rememver WHERE the energy is coming from. This would only be viable with nuclear power. But NO... you stupid fucking hippes want to boycott anything that would help in the long-run, just sit there drunking fair trade green tea, not showering and wearing clothes made of fucking hemp.
@sockosockosocko electric vehicles are NOT the future. gas engines are far from done developing and in the long run could be made less environmentally damaging then an electric vehicle. for instance take a look at the VW polo bluemotion and imagine how much more we can do to reduce emissions in the future.
@superavrillavignefan i'm not against diesel and bio-diesel. they'll be a necessary part of the solution for longer distance travel and heavy duty vehicles. you don't need to be pro this and anti that. my all-electric conversion gets about 100 mpg equivalent according to penn state scholars who did the calculations for me. EVs are more efficient - this is not arguable. your 70 mpg polo is great, yoo! but i'd rather power my car off solar panels on my garage - that's MY preference.
@sockosockosocko ah yes, i see your point and electric vehicles with more research could become a good alternative. i however think that since the batteries aren't exactly eco friendly to produce and in a lot of cases the energy used to charge the EV isn't produced in a renewable way so that could pretty much make it all useless. but in most cases for short distance travel and if the energy is produced in a renewable way it's def the solution for some people... cheers
I have an electric car :D it has a electric motor that is used to fire up 6 cylinders of volvo that has electric windows, mirrors, sunroof, seats so im doing my bit to help the enviroment by going electric.
@supaschwamal You're right. Motoring is supposed to be fun and the G-wiz clearly is not, not to mention dangerous for several reason. I would be depressed if I drove a G-wiz.
you cant put the heater fan on cos that wears the battery down as does the radio it hasnt got electric windows cos tha wears the battery down you cant go very fast cos that wears the battery down you cant stop cos that wears the battery down you cant drive it in the rain cos that wears the battery down you cant drive it at nite cos that wears the battery down welcome to the world of the g wiz

This is like a very bad Bidup TV show.
'It regenerates as I drive!' - er... no. You use 10 times the power to get up to speed than you ever recover with 'regenerative braking'.

why would you pay £9000 for a car that looks like a frog, and that takes 10 mph impacts about as wel as one aswell?
