  • Love the chairman

  • 3:15 :D

  • i love..wild boar its so good

  • Why do u people have to hate the chairman??? He is a tripppppppp

  • Shiner Bock is good...was on sale two weeks ago at publix...didn't know it was from texas

  • 'cockily'?

  • the chairman is such a dork ^^

  • shiner bock is soooo good... i make bratwursts with it frequently.

  • After seeing Iron Chef Japanese... this is just such a letdown :( I hate you USA for ruining every culture on the planet...

  • @krehlmar That's indeed a pretty bold jump to connect a cooking show to the US ruining every culture on the planet.

Although the Japanese show was awesome, I like Iron Chef America because it deals with ingredients most Americans can get and helps with new ideas with those ingredients.

  • @krehlmar Cause if Japan translated everything it'd be better, right?

  • what're those dark blue/black spots on the animal meat?

  • The chefs are given the heads up on the secret ingredient before the show. Thats why they just get right to it with no discussion between teams. Its kinda cheezy that they dont tell the audience but its true. Sometimes they know days ahead.

  • black thinggy on meat:cancer ewwwww

  • lolz i luv how he says "America" in "Iron Chef America" xD

  • I wonder when battle human will come along..?

  • @peeweesherman Battle soylent green.

  • Both America and the original are awesome for completely different reasons.

The American version has better secret ingredients and to be honest, the food and banter is brilliant :D

But the original had the charm, the way Kaga looks over his stadium, the FUKAI SAN!! and the "If memory serves me well" makes it iconic :)

  • The "real" Kaga was an actor too.

  • Is Bobby Flay trying to burn down kitchen stadium lol

  • 3:20 ,pure awsomeness

  • after watching iron chef japanese this is just weird

  • i love cat cora jeejejee !!!

  • Love this episode like how the Chairman raises the knifes and shouts "WILD BOAR!!!" then quickly turns to look at the audence while holding the knifes.

  • before they start the battle, are all the ovens and burners and things turned on and preheated? they must be because how else could they get everything cooking so fast...

  • fuckin boring..wot nonsense!!

  • Chairman is annoying. He is funny at times but not in a way that adds to the show in a good way.

  • The Chairman was in that awful movie back in the day called "Only The Strong".

  • thumbs up if you clicked this video just to see some whole still hairy wild boar on the alter

  • not its not "terrifiying" you fucking yanks even make cooking seem like a fight

  • @JakyRedEyes Noo, us "fucking yanks" make cooking a bit more exciting for you viewing pleasure.

  • whats that blue stuff?

  • 0:01

  • What a boring show. As much as a guru Alton Brown is, there is no banter or interesting conversations to listen to since he's just talking to himself.

  • XD half the time the chairman looked like he was going to laugh

  • WAIT! i've been watching iron chef for a while now, but how do they know what to cook and what not to cook?? :S

  • heavy on the fromage.

  • ola amigo sube capitulos en español xfa

  • This show is god awful, the original is so much better.

  • @AlotaMaple

Gordon Ramsay is one of my favorite Chefs. I'd love to see him battle on this show. Even better would be to have a 2 on 2 battle with him teaming up with either Flay or Morimoto.

But to be honest, Gordon Ramsay is too good a chef to be a challenger...he should be the Iron Chef of French/Italian Cuisine on this show.

  • @GamingDrummer89 your very right, he is better than flay and the other chefs here

morimoto is the only one who matches him.

  • @GillesGerais Well it depends...yeah I agree Morimoto is probably the only one whose overall skill is at Ramsay's overall skill level...but let's say we had Flay vs. Ramsay and both were cooking French Food...of course Ramsay would win, but if they were both cooking Southwestern Cuisine, I'd put my money on Flay. But overall yeah I'd put Ramsay a little bit ahead of Flay, and Morimoto about on Ramsay's level. All 3 are master chefs, though.

  • I've read about what goes on behind the scenes on this show, and I've seen many episodes. Based on what I've seen and read, pretty much nothing is "prepped" like in restaurants before meals (i.e. there's no pasta pre-made, nothing is chopped up already, and all types of dough (except for those that need to be chilled for a while) aren't pre made).

We always see the food prepped by the chefs DURING the battle, not before. Sure, some parts are staged, but the prep is done during the battle.

  • Достойное шоу. и с профессиональной и с поучительной точки зрения

  • Man, I wish I could catch a whiff of what they're cooking.

  • WILD BOAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • LOVE this show but Masaharu Morimoto

    is the BEST !!!!!!!!

  • @BLUEOHIO has he ever lost to anybody?

  • I suspect that they are given a list of possible items for secret ingredients. They both create their menus around that list, but they really don't know what the actual "secret ingredient" is till recording day, once it is revealed they just go on with the menu they have prepared prior to that day, that is why they all know what to do .....that is at least what I think. : )

  • @etrnlygr8tful i want to believe that they know before hand what the ingredient is cause the stuff they come up with is so amazing its like they planeed it all out. if they really do all this on the spot i can honestly say that they are masters of their art and surpass regular chefs by far.

  • They actually get 15 minutes to come up with a menu after the secret ingredient is revealed. They just edit that part out and don't really mention it.

  • @makemelaughyouants true. the secret ingredient is revealed 15min before the chairman announces it to the viewer. still very impressive.

  • @makemelaughyouants i've heard that the challenger and the iron chef are told about 3-4 possible secret ingredient one week in advance so they can create a menu

  • Mouth watery : )_

  • this is so epic that's it's corny. BRAVO!!!

  • i laughed soooo hard at the very end!

  • Man... Bobby Flay is all... FIRED up!

  • i never knew freakin cat cora is a lesbo...lol

  • yup, she's also gotta partner and 2 kids

  • watching this vid makes me hungry!! gaddammit!!

  • Lol @ Flay "I'm only cutting a pineapple!"

  • @OM3N1R I know for real. Food can be fun to cook and all, but the Iron Chef likes to spend their money on special effects, ha ha

  • LMFAO 9:25,one of the reporters say Okie Dokie

Oh yeah,is the chairman here Kaga's nephew?

  • no the chairman is only an actor that is not related to Kaga in any way.

  • @mchan2048 I saw the "Chairman" in a guest role on Stargate: Atlantis. Knowing him as the chairman did make it kind of funny.. but then his schtick is so over the top anyway that we do impersonations of his "alea cuisine!" thing in my family - he does the chop and then he magically leaps back and turns around while looking zen- freaking hilarious.

  • @mchan2048

Yeah he's just some actor bloke. And a poor one at that.

  • @mchan2048 kaga was an actor as well. it is entertainment remember

  • @mchan2048 he only plays the character of Charman Kaga's nephew.

  • the chairman is the double dragon dude

  • @dummynator854 the American chairman is actor Marc Decascos i believe (i hope i got that spelling right),and hes in no way related to the Japanese chairman

  • ROFL... pause the video at 3:28... The image is guaranteed to make you giggle :)

  • hahah. the dude is holding the knife like a murderer

  • Reminds me of Obelix

  • Comment removed

  • in the original iron chef chairman kaga didn't let you choose your chef you were assigned the chef and put out of your element

  • They actually let challenger choose, what are u talking about?

  • @jasperminer Actually, the show of choosingin ICA is false; the decision is in fact made in advance, though challengers are allowed to name preferences.

  • "WIIIIIIIIILLDD BOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!" -chairman XD

  • Iron Chef America ain't that bad....

And I gotta say, the opening sequence is kinda epic ^3^

  • the chairman is wack!

  • I hope Anthony Bourdain vs Masaharu Norimoto..or Morco Pierre White VS Mario Batali...

  • me and my friend dream of going on this show one day im 11 hes twelve our parents let us use stoves a few weeks ago we always come up with gourmet recipes one day me and him go on iron chef america i wanna chose masaharu morimotta sorry if i spelled it wrong i know i did XD

  • lmao it's morimoto and good luck to the both of you :D

  • Flay and Cora Rule. I like America better than the orginal.

  • lol I love the element of drama that they add to this show!!

  • I still like the Japanese version better but this is pretty sweet i've got to admit!

Also bobby flay cracks me up, "I'M JUST CUTTING PINEAPPLE...."

  • i love it when the host presents the theme ingredent.

  • the chairman in here is wack. the host in the japanese iron chef is the best. morimoto!

  • i miss iron chef japan.

  • CknSalad: Gosh, you guys never stop, don't you? Iron Chef Japan ended a DECADE ago! The only place you'll see it is on Fine Living Network.

You should be at least happy that Food Network is TRYING to keep the spirit of Iron Chef alive with an American "sequel." It's not like they're claiming to be the original Iron Chef, either, because every episode opens with a reminder that this is based on the Japanese original.

I've just recently started watching ICJ and ICA. What's so bad about ICA?!

  • i just watched the first 10 secs, and its like sooo dramatic and hilarious LOL

like, masterchef in australia is still enjoable but nvr seen that type of tv show haha

  • in the one with jamie oliver he didnt know the fish had scales.

  • the host is a maniac

  • haha wannabe iron chef

  • Wild game is the absolute best meat that one can eat.

All naturally fed, better taste and most importantly, no potentially disease-causing hormone dope in it.

Downside: all those benefits come at a higher price.

But if one can afford it, damn it's good!

  • the chairman was great in the tv series the crow

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHA I'm drinking a Shiner Bock right now.

  • haha i didnt know chef cora was lesbian, damn shes hot

  • appreciate you for downloading episodes of Iron Chef America..pls do upload more..

    TNX!!!

  • I'm just cutting pineapple. For some reason, I lol'ed on that part. Haha.

  • it always makes me think they now the secret ingredient before hand because you don't see anyone talking to each other they all just know what to do

  • they have a list of secret ingredients that could possibly be the right one, and the chefs already know what they will be making before the filming but during the filming, they just have 1 hr to do it right without screwing up.

  • oh ok, that makes sense because i dont think anyone could mak eup dishes that fast.

  • @mchan2048 Almost correct. They don't know the ingredient beforehand. They have producer assistants buy ingredients from a list given to them by the chefs based on the list of possible Secret Ingredients.

The chefs can usually guess what the secret ingredient is by the other ingredients bought.

  • why doesn't gordon ramsay go on iron chef america.?

  • He's good enough to skip being a challenger and just go straight to being one of the Iron Chefs.

  • thanks for uploading! would appreciate more episodes

  • I don't know how the Chairman can take himself seriously.

  • I personally am not a fan of the Chairman, even though his voice as he announces the secret ingredient is funny at times.

  • @detahdomo HE'S JUST THAT AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • ...I wonder what Wild Boar tastes like? Never had it!

  • hmmm, good question. Wonder if it's like a wild strong bacon. Probably can be gamey as all heck if they had lesser cooks. But these are iron Chefs. LOL

  • how do they think up their recipes soooo quickly!

  • I think the chefs are given a list of possible ingredients so they can plan their head to head duels during the actual filming ...

  • The food network did a behind the sceens once and they let it be known that the chefs already know what the secret ingredient will be and they get a chance to plan. Also, after the prep period we see they get time to set up all the plates. But we don't see all that LOL

  • but they are professional chefs and most of them have a successful restaurant with them. And so it goes, they may get time to set it all up, but they get only 1 hour to make all their dishes while they get filmed though =)

  • bobby flay is the grill master out of the 5 iron chefs

  • Flay: "I'm just cuttin' pineapples!"

    lol.

  • Yeah Kevin Brauch is weird.

  • WIIIIIILD BOOOOOOOAR!

  • Where did he get the X-50s? Did he pull them out of the boar?!?!?!
