  • OMG HE MESSED UP ONCE BETTER POST A VIDEO. Believe it or not, these guys are human too and make mistakes like the rest of us. If anything you should point out how good it is that he was able to come back into the song and not let one mistake ruin the song.

  • Once again...some idiot wants to point out a rare "glitch" from the greatest, and most incredibly talented band on the planet!!

Don't you have anything better to do with your miserable existance??

Obviously NOT!!! With a name like Wackadoo...it's no surprise!!!

  • I AM NEIL PEART AND YOU HAVE TO KEEP UP WITH ME!!!!

  • That's called missed cue and recovery. Not even close to a "trainwreck".

  • Neil's human like everyone else, if we all played half as well as he does, this would be a happy musical world.

  • Comment removed

  • It's funny how others knock professionals when they happen to make a mistake. if you think you can do better, then go audition for Neil's spot and we'll see how far get and how well you do. When you make a mistake, then it will be your ass on trial! Give that some thought! I am a professional drummer, and as for myself. I would still pay to hear them no matter how many mistakes they make, it's still music!!!!!

  • oh shut up all you goofs saying Neal is going down and getting off track. Neal is stil human and is prone to making a mistake like anybody else. Its human nature. Rush is awesome.

  • Rush's longevity does not make them good. Their skill, creativity, and intelligence does. Every time I see a "they've been around for X years" comment, it makes rush fans look like idiots

  • I hate it when I see or hear them mess up but sometimes you just do. You go write over 1 hundred songs and play for over 10(i know they've been around longer) years without getting mad or messing up

  • oh hey a screw-up... proof that they dont lip sync or just have background tracks playing during concerts like nearly every talent-less band these days!!

  • @ihatejimmy Can't believe nobody liked this comment yet.

  • The guy that sounds like molly hatchet sayin "thats right" proves this is a cover bands bad atempt!

  • I'm just glad to find out these guys are human after all.

  • Considering how many million notes they've played right, they deserve a pass...

  • Long live Rush.

  • obsess much?

  • i just wish i was like 50 so i could have grown up listening to rush from day 1. unfortunately im only 16 but the 4 years i have been listening to them have been amazing!!!!

  • The thing many people dont know is that neil only has drums in his iem mix. when they mess up once thats incredible given what ive ever heard from them

  • Alex again, not Neil

  • Hey it happens they didnt panic lol Justin Bieber probably would have wet his Diaper if that happened.Rush are true pros it happens and its gonna happen to the best of them. Rush forever

  • Not a exactly "trainwreck" but definatly more noticable then the 2112 "trainwreck"...

  • might have had a stick break and had to grab a spare in mid song.

  • sounds amazing compared to new music

  • Over 30 years of great music and you post this? Amazing how people take such pleasure and eagerness to display an incredibly minor glitch.

  • @harleyman20010 Alex missed a few notes

  • Proof that the playing is live. Mistakes happen. Even you've made mistakes at work too. You just dont do it in front of 15,000 people.

But through a mistake, they gather up and continue on. And thats what pros do.

  • They did a good job making it sound like they just changed that to make it more interesting on the tour. LOL

  • So what if they mess up, it isn't like a band is going to go on stage and be completely flawless every single time they play. lol.

  • I have heard them screw up often. It just proves that THEY are playing, not lip-syncing. Still better than just about everyone else.

  • It may be a monitor problem. You know the earpieces these guys wear so they can hear the timing. If it completely went dead or was feeding him the wrong sounds he could easily get off track. It happened in Brazil when water got into there equipment. Just a theory. Cheers.

  • For once it was neils fault lol

  • @StickHits yeah hahaha! whoops

  • @StickHits

Well, Neil also screwed up in Cleveland during Presto right after the solo. Geddy and Alex were a few beats ahead, but they were able to recover. They fixed it on the DVD and CD and Geddy decided to take the blame. But those who have seen a bootleg of that song know better.

  • Trainwreck? Sounded right to me.

  • @3Dtacos 0:08 sounds new to me lol

  • flawless recovery.

  • Rush's train wrecks are like most other bands nailing it!

  • @yotboy3 So true! LOL!!!!!!!

  • 2 secs late- i would of been Like 15 secs late

  • I've heard this song millions of times and this wasn't a trainwreck. A little off but it was still graceful.

  • ahahahua, he's a god anyway

  • So what does this prove? That they are human after all. Still the most talented three musicians in rock as far as I'm concerned. \m/ on

  • @waynerock66 Couldn't agree more. I think it's freaking cool to here guys of this stature mess up. We all do.

  • Here in El Paso (Time Machine Tour) Geddy messed up the first verse to Spirit of Radio (the first song of the show). You can imagine the shock/dissapointment of all the fans waiting to sing along after many years of waiting for Rush to come and OH NO!!!!!

at the end of the line he said "Ooooops!" then he went "NOW!" then got back on track with the lyrics. But hey, there is not a single artist in music business that is not perfect, my hats off to them for standing through the test of time.

  • Yup, just found the video but I can't post the link here, so just type "Geddy forgets the lyrics To Closer To The Heart"

  • I think I remember a youtube audio clip where Geddy actually forgot the beginning lyrics of Closer To The Heart. That was years ago when they were still playing it at every show. I recently saw a Youtube clip from a David Gilmour show in the mid 80s where he screwed up Run Like Hell (a Floyd concert staple). Mistakes happen, even to the best of us :)

  • Only really good bands like this can really mess up and have the audience cheer...

  • @skifan07 NEVER call me a rush hater! they have been my favorite band since 3rd grade! i love them with my LIFE! im just saying that neil has gotten off track a couple of times this tour and that it might be hard for them to tour since theyre getting older now. thats what i thought before ("11 months ago") now i beleive that they are still going strong and i think clockwork angels is going to proove that.

  • @skifan07 Woah Woah calm down, I know I know, Certain mistakes do happen, just don't go crazy about it, Everyone messes up at some point, I'm pretty sure they were just talking about their next album, though Neil did seem pretty off last tour, plus this was months ago, don't try to yell at them now, Its just probably after this next album they might take a small break, then they'll get there stuff together and rock out again. Don't go jumping to conclusions on what you think they might've said.

  • this must be a tribute band, because neil doesn't mess up. ever.

  • It's not really a trainwreck if they recover well...which they did. RUSH ON!

  • @skifan07 This band is close to 40 years old, though even though they are keeping up with the time they might run out of material, or lose there touch. I'm a Rush Fan, and I'm seen many Rush trainwrecks though we all tend to laugh about it afterwards. They are just stating what might happen.

  • That was hardly a train wreck...... They recovered well, now if it completely fell apart, that would have been a train wreck

  • even RUSH are humans. even RUSH makes mistakes haha

  • I was actually at this gig. This "train wreck" was recorded at the SECC in Glasgow UK during the R30 tour on September 14th 2004. I even have the whole show on bootleg CD. It was a great gig. Very emotional for me as I saw Rush 5 times on this tour in the UK and this was the last of the 5.

  • time machine tour?

  • @n2112bytor2112p Not absolutely sure, but I think that is a wise guess.

  • @n2112bytor2112p Well, it seems theyve played these songs enough times so that, even with their supreme skill, they just psycke themselves out sometimes. But, I would definitely not count them out yet.

  • @n2112bytor2112p i pray to god your wrong lol dont we all

  • @n2112bytor2112p unfortunately, i think ur right

  • @n2112bytor2112p you're fucked in the head.

  • @scat4u did you not see the comment i post a month ago that i dont agree with that comment i posted anymore?

  • @n2112bytor2112p The group will be touring as long as they are able, because Neil realized his songs were meant to be played live.

  • One of they're last??? i feel for you buddy, lay off the cross examinations.

Greatest quote of all times: " one of there last ". in a nutshell pal, stop writing.

  • @n2112bytor2112p - Dude! It's called being human. It was a mistake. Even Neil makes mistakes, but it doesn't signify the end of RUSH as a whole.

  • @n2112bytor2112p are you kidding? i saw them twice during the Time Machine Tour and they all had the energy of 28 year olds and the same precision and skill as before (if not better).

  • @chrispwns123456789 its funny how i posted that comment a year ago and im STILL being bitched at for it. i changed my mind now about what i said and if you would even bother to look at the rest of the comments, you would see that. jesus christ...

  • @n2112bytor2112p why would i comb through dozens of comments looking for others that you posted? dont get so worked up, i was just disagreeing with your comment.
