That spitfire gotta realize there's a 109 on his six ?? Bad flying ..There will always be another Ju-88 get out of the line up and shake that 109 then get back in to it
It depends. Not all bullets would show a strike. The 1 round that you do see hit is an explosive 20mm cannon round, the ammo for which was often mixed to include HE, Solid shot and tracer.
After the first burst of sire you can see vapour coming from the coolant radiator on the left wing.
@ckolonko Tough to see on youtube quality video, but on higher quality versions it's apparent that the smoke puffs are the Spitfire's cannons firing 8 seconds to 11 seconds. RAF fighters generally weren't a fan of tracers, but he's definately giving that Ju 88 a squirt.
