so what are your comments on the avengers movie coming next year?

i like several teams, but the original first couple of teams were great...for my picks, I have: Cap, Thor, Iron Man, Hawkeye, Wasp, Goliath, Tigra, Herc, Ms. Marvel, Black knight, Wonderman, She-Hulk and Starfox. I believe this was an existing roster in the early 80's with John Byrne doing some pencils. Beast might of been on the squad and perhaps photon was fake ms. marvel but I will take the team listed above with Grant Morrison and Frank Cho doing an alternate reality story or series.

Captain America, Thor, Iron Man, Vision, SheHulk, Photon main team. A rotating mutant(besides Wolverine) and Inhuman to make the marvel universe cohesive without more crossovers. And please anyone but Bendis. Dramatic changes are only interesting when they happen like once a decade or so. Brian k. Vaughan Adrian Alphona. there was a reason Runaways is awesome.

New Avengers is supposed to be written to atttract a younger audience. Bendis and Quesada forgot two things dlearly about this team.

A. Wolverine is already in the X-Men and is on several teams, and has several comics that come out monthly.

B. Spider-Man came out the same time the avengers did. Stan Lee clearly believed that he did not belong on the avengers or else he would have had him on there.

I really think when the whole Dark Reign bull$#!^ is over & done with, there should be TWO Avengers Teams: An East & West Coast.

I mean, with both the New & Mighty Avengers, plus all the other stragglers out there, you have enough heroes to go around.

Spider-man and Wolverine were put on the book purely to drive sales, Power-man and Iron Fist are there because of Bendis 70's nostalgia. Mcniven is a good artist but I just don't see how he's a legend...he ain't no George Perez thats for sure.

And Millar is just the most self-hyped, over-rated writer in comics today. Its all style and no substance, loads of flashy tricks with no pay off. For every 1 good thing he does, theres a bunch of disappointments....FF, 1985 and Kickass being the latest

To each his own, my comic loving bretheren. I do not agree in the slightest with your comment but then again arguing over such a subjective topic would be fruitless. However, let me say this: Millar, McNiven, and the New Avengers in their first incarnation are some of THE reasons I loves comics as much as I do today. Incidentally, what would be your ideal Avengers and creative team?

Indeed, to each his own. If they've got you liking comics then thats a good thing.

My Avengers team would be something like Captain America, Thor, Iron Man, Wasp, Hawkeye, Scarlet Witch, Wonder man, Ms Marvel, Vision.

Creative team? Busiek or Geoff Johns writing. Art by any one of Carlos Pacheco, Alan Davis, Steve Epting or Olivier Copiel.

I can see how heavily influenced your team is by what I hear many people dub the "classic Avengers". Were they the team I grew up with and came to know maybe I'd share your and many others' affinity for them.

Your creative team choice are all aces in my book, and possibly in anyone else's who's ever experienced their work. No complaints from me!

I'm sure :- ! BTW, I have to say your unapologetic and callous reviews and rants make some the best vidoes on YouTube. You never hold back or water down how you feel about anything whereas others'll be a little more reserved and forgiving. In essence, you're Simon from American Idol and the comics are the contestants. Great entertainment!

And that's what it's about, entertainment. We're just trying to have fun talking about the medium we love so much. Sure, we get on creators, but they can take it. Trust me, I've had Jose tell me several times how he felt about Xena/Army of Darkness and I didn't cry.
