Timothy Dalton gets such a bad rap from most Bond fans because they haven't read the books and don't understand the Ian Fleming James Bond. I love Connery but sometimes I want a more human feel to Bond and Dalton delivers that. But I feel The Living Daylights needed a stronger villian up to the standard of Dalton's Bond. An arms dealer who plays with toy soldiers? oh well, I guess that was a left over from the Roger Moore era. Thankfully LTK gave us the more formidable Sanchez
i don't like to say who is the best bond i think all of them are good also lazenby don't forget he use to be just model and not actor .BUT the point is not who's the best but who's the most appropriate for this role and my opinion is that Dalton had the prefect package his look his acting even his voice was the right for a British spy.
IMO Dalton was almost the PROTOTYPE for Daneil Craigs bonds. The way they play bond is VERY similar between the two. IMO the only real difference is that Craig looks more like the villainous dude from Tommrow Never Dies LOL
Sean, Pierce, and even Daniel did excellent but Timothy Dalton is BOND IMO because not only was he one of the most underrated actor to portray 007 but also he also acted like what a spy should act like. He was brutal, he didn't try to be funny like Roger, he had vulnerability, IMO he was the most real to me like how the real James Bond would be like. Not to mention his Bond the an awesome stunt with a huge long nosed truck in License To Kill. Also IMO he deserves a medal from Chuck Norris 4 tht
@TRUMPER007 I would say casino royale is a excellent movie, so at least give Craig some credit and blame the producers and director for Quantum for the way it turned out.

correction please, in "The Living Daylights", Bond had 2 women: Kara, of course, but also Linda (the lady on the Yacht in the pre-title sequence).
