  • if someone came up with this in school they'd call the cops

  • about 70 views on that are mine, and be ready for more

  • Definitely one of David Bowie's most unusual songs, there's no music and it's very dark and creepy, but I like it, I can't get it out of my head.

  • Not exactly Bowie's most catchiest song, still good though.

  • What is this on? My mom and I are avid Bowie fans. Fun find.

  • Bizarre

  • Bizare

  • I adored this and have the record! xoxoxox

  • Im shivering by the sound effects, david has some nighmarish sounds at his disposal

  • 'Yes Mr. GD'....love it!!

  • I love this! I laughed when Bowie says 'very selfish' Brilliant. I've got like 20 Bowie albums, but never listened to anything before 'Space Oddity'...what an idiot i am, because this is brilliant and funny! 5 star of course.

  • "I've started digging holes myself and this one is for you'...hahaha Only Bowie!!

  • Bowie is fabulous. Such a trailblazer and innovator!

  • Bowie was Alice Cooper and Marilyn Manson before they even imagined their art.

  • actually I believe alice cooper did his character thing first.

  • yeah, Alice Cooper is in the same era as Bowie

  • @drogoscg1 yup, so true

  • Utterly, utterly bizarre and considerably politically incorrect!

  • so lucky my tape still works.

  • "Dogs shouldn't be allowed in here bloody obscene" makes me laugh all the time I loved this song when I got the album "the deram anthology" about 5 years ago and still love it today. my mu says I'm mad!!!!

  • locked pocket there's some talent

  • Ah. I still have the LP for this. I loved listening to it. Wonderfully creepy.

Not as strange as The Laughing Gnome, though. :P

  • Looking at the second picture with bowie and the dog i realize something...Bowie would have been an AWESOME Joker for the batman movie...

  • he was considered for the role that went to jack nicholson. Bowie would've ROCKED in that role;)

  • this was probabley one of bowie,s first really wierd songs

  • is it just me or is this the same melody as THE LONDON BOYS. AMASING SONG, i feel like i too have practically become obsessed with it, so young but still soo good

  • for gods sake david, too good too young, will you ever stop killing me and bringing me back to life again, only to kill me with you talent, weird, creepy, scary, hilarious, goosebumps-inducing, and just plain silly... HOW?????????

love you David, i love you too much...

  • Definitely agree that it's more a poem than a song. Actually it almost sounds like a radio play what with the sound effects and stuff.

  • me again.

well, it seems to be more of a story told with Bowie acting out a role... i mean, he even called himself a storyteller, didn't he?

in a strange way, it vaguely reminds me of "Hello, Spaceboy."

it is a cool story; what a great way to end an album.

    thanks for posting, again.

  • amzing but a little creepy, how could he write a lyric like this at such a young age- a genius

  • i know, how far back do you have to go before he is anything other than brilliant?

  • Very cool.

  • the eriest song ive ever heard. its more a poem than a song as you said, but i love it soo much.

theres something enthralling about it....i dont know what it is. im almost becoming obsessive with it.

  • It is very nice.

  • @miniorangepanther me too! It's just classsic, classic Bowie he was so young, this is just adorable :)

  • i had this lp and sombody told me its now

worth 350 quid anybody know if this is true?

  • I don't know if it's true. It would be worth a pretty Polly though I believe.

  • Hi! As you said, it's more a poemthan a real song, but all that concern David Bowie interesr me, so THKS to have put this video in YouTube!

  • Your welcome. And I'm glad to provide it for u.

  • Haven't heard this in **years** (mind you, I am word perfect on the "lyric" including the asides! Posts like this are what YouTube is all about for me! Now I can play this for others, and they'll know I didn't make it up! :-D

  • What, other Bowie fans said this song never existed. Well, in a couple of weeks to a month I'm gunna put like 5 more songs from before this album. And I'm glad to provide this for u.
