  • great guitar great review !!

  • Thank you for looking and taking the time to make a comment. Regards Keith

  • Keith you are a bloody amazing musician . I wish i could play like that . X

  • Very kind of you to say that. I taught myself playing along with records.Thank you. Keith

  • Not arf pop pickers!

  • ElllllOO YOUChooobers

  • hey, did you know that the zemaitis website put a link to this very video on their site? anyways, I really want a pearl front/top!

  • Yes, I saw the link on the Zemaitis web site. They are really nice guitars. Are you in the U.K. or America? K

  • @keefster001 Canada actually, I was hoping to get a zemaitis pearl front guitar one day. I'm still in highschool, so it's kind of a life goal, I've had my eyes set on that guitar for a few years now. I was thinking of getting a copy, but they're still somewhat expensive, and don't seem to sound as nice. any chance of you being in touch with a somewhat cheap pearl front?

  • We have a couple of Zemaitis club members in Canada. I hope you get your dream Zemaitis one day! Keith

     //o-o\\

  • @keefster001 there's a club? is there a site for it? can I check i out? or do I need to own a zemaitis? T.T

  • You don't need to own a Z to join. Just type "Zemaitis club" into Google. There is an interesting site and details of how to join.Regards, Keith

  • did tony zemaitis come up with the shape for the body? or did he copy it off of the les paul? or did les paul copy tony zemaitis?

  • Les Paul came up with this sort of body shape. These days many builders make a similar shape and call it a single cutaway. Gibson took PRS to court over theirs, but lost the case. I hope that answers your question. Regards, Keith

  • @keefster001 wow, you answered fast! and yea, that just about answered it. yea, i'm surprised PRS and ESP guitars got away with copying that shape :P but then again, it's only slight differences in the shape that make the guitar no longer under the copyright status

  • Things do get a bit out of hand, when you can't use the name Strat on E Bay etc. Having played Les Paul's and Zemaitis single cutaways, I have to say they are different instruments in feel and sound.

    Regards, Keith

  • @keefster001 you can't put the name strat on ebay when selling seomthing? what if it is a fender/squier stratocaster guitar?

  • You can use the name with Fender or Squier instruments, they don't like you using the Tele or Strat name when selling a copy (it's a registered trademark). That is why in Guitarist mag you see adverts STR*T copy for sale. Regards, Keith

  • What a beautiful guitar, crazy stuff, really!

  • It makes you gasp when you take it out of the case. Great workmanship. K

  • wow, amazing instrument. my dad owns a metal front from '86 and a GZ disc front, they are awesome!

  • I agree! Amazing instruments to play. I hope your Dad is a member of the Zemaitis guitar owners club. Thanks for the comment. Keith

  • @keefster001 yes, i think he is. he found the original letters from Tony a couple of weeks ago, that was really cool :)

  • That guitar is to pretty to play it :D How much did it guitar cost?

  • what was the last song u played.

  • Hi, The last section where I demo the guitar starts with STAY WITH ME by THE FACES (played in open E tuning) and ends on a solo from SULTANS OF SWING by DIRE STRAITS. Regards, Keith

  • how much do these japanese zemaitis ones run for? Im guessing more than the greco zemaitis versions?

  • Hi, depends where you are, there are deals you can do in America, they are more expensive in the U.K. You can buy direct from Japan. Send me an e mail and I can give you a contact that works for the company. Regards, K

  • he was pure Lithuanian :P

  • Thanks for a nice history lesson, love Zemaitis' guitars, i hope to own one down the line.

Who built the guitar you have? Greco?

  • The one in this video was built by Kanda Shokai in Japan. If you are in America you can shop round the various dealers for a bargain. The workmanship is breath taking.Cheers

    K

  • Hey man. I live in Denmark, so it's kinda hard to come by one of those, but thanks for your reply, i'll check it out!

  • You could always buy direct from Japan. I can give you a contact e mail who works for the company. Regards, K

  • he is lithuanian, so am i:)

  • well he wasnt really lithuanian, just of lithuanian descent. he prolly didnt speak lithuanian and was born in britain, so that makes him english..:-) but yeah, his full name is sure a lithuanian one - Antanas Kazimieras Žemaitis

  • Yes, he was born in britain, but his family was imigrant Lithuanian family...

  • @slamalenko me to! awesome guitar

  • Could I get a price check on that bad boy???

  • Hi Dwayne, If you go on the Zemaitis site, there is a where to buy section. Dealers in the U.S.A. include Rudys, Gulf coast guitars and Make 'n music. There are lots of dealers for these, so telephone for a good deal. Hope that helps. Keith
