I have been interested in lapsteel guitars for quite a few years. I found some plans on the net and recently decided to build a lapsteel for myself. This particular guitar was just completed and the oil finish is still damp, so I guess ou could call this the shakedown cruise. I like to tone with my Blues Cube and the single coil pickup.
i was looking to learn to make my guitar sound like a steel guitar and i found this . sounds great and looks cool, please post some songs.

Nice steel and nice playing. I like how you positioned the pickup a little farther from the bridge than normal - gives it a rounder, smoother tone.
