  • I've been looking for this song since I saw Kenny Vance sang it live. Thank you for uploading it. And doesn't Kenny Vance have a great falsetto?

  • if you do not like this song.don't say anything at all.no one cares.don't listen''

  • Wimpy white bread CRAP. Just like Pat Boone covering Little Richard and Fats Domino Songs back in the day. I'll take the 5 Keys, Flamingos, Cleftones, Robins, et al- anytime.

  • Doo Wop never dies! Like a fine wine, gets better and better with age! Class and Style!!

  • @gingerbread1231 Kenny Vance released this song in 1975, The Persuasions re-did it A Capella in 1977, 2 years after its original release. Get your facts straight.

  • What a rip off. This song was done by The Persuasions. Kenny has a pretty decent voice, but what they did to song is a disgrace. :-( Reminds me of Pat Boone trying to sing Little Richard's songs.

  • So good to hear. I remember watching boy groups in

    Jamaica, NY. practicing,

    I hope they made it.

May this music keep living on forever. Thanks Kenny.

    Most sincerely,

LJD - Jamaica High, many years ago.

  • this song makes me get close to tears, its ashame what music has gotten to these days, all autotune and no meaning. This is from back when music had meaning and soul, when people could sing, and when songs werent about getting high or falling over drunk. I show my kids this song all the time, They love it, I honestly hope music like this somehow makes its way back to this generation

  • @larylovesu Me too. Everytime they sing last last part, "Now we've turned into Oldies, but we were Newies then". Gets me every single time. Where did the years go?

  • 1:18 A place we almost found . That major 7th harmony is the best

  • these people have real talent..especially when they can sing without instruments behind them and make it sound good..I heard them and other doo wop bands live that did that and it was beautiful.

  • Didn't know this was recorded the year I was born. Cool old song.

  • The movie Looking for an Echo is one of my favoriate ones. Kenny and the Planotones do the vocals for the actors. I love Kenny's voice and the harmonizing. Great.

  • Johnny Maestro passed away???? When???

A sad sad sad day .....

  • Psh...It doesn't matter how old you are. Doo wop groups are miniature choirs gone legit.

  • what year did this song come out?

  • Believe it or not, this is my favorite song in the whole world!

    "We've seen a lot changes since 1965..."

  • @jmohan23 i hate this day and age now, im 15 and i wish is was 1965

  • @Jayydee34 That's 1955, not '65! ....I remember those days!

  • God Bless and thank you whippersnappers... into your hands we forward the flame of Doo-Wop and street acapella. Handle its harmony reverently.

For those older... hope some of you may make it to the Count Basie Theatre in Red Bank NJ May 14,2010 for Kenny Vance and other greats tribute to recently departed Johnny Maestro whose voice was heavenly when he walked the earth.

  • @BadBadEarbaminocchio .....Thanks for the "whippersnapper" compliment along with Jayydee34 but I'm sure I'm closer to your age than his!

I'm gonna go check out your channel.................Jan

  • im only 28, and ive been listening to this music, especially this song since i was little. i was really born in the wrong era, i wish i could go back to those day!! there is nothing like real music... this music!!

  • We're fortunate to have access to both the live version and the original. Both are magical. The coda and production delicacy of the studio version make it a work of pop art perfection.

  • m1garand427 is but 21 years old. I commend him for his superior taste and appreciation of an earlier day.

  • What a falsetto!! Typical "Men's room" doo wop.

  • Of course this is marvelous!!!

I remember seeing guys singing in the subway in

    Jamaica, Queens.

    Those days were so innocent,

    Many thanks.

  • This version is far better that the 6-minute "hats 'n' shades version.

  • I like both, specially the ending mixing with Darling Lorraine. This one must be the 1975 record, it's pretty good an tight.

  • this is pure class

  • they gonna throw a concert 2 blocks away from me :d

  • Love ur voice and band Kenny Vance , just love u guys so much ......pjshot Darwin NT..Australia

  • I hope you are an 'Ol 55 fan too!

  • Ol' 55 version is great, too!

  • Very good!

  • i saw these guys 8 times. never get sick of em.

  • The Genius behind Jay & the americans was Kenny Vance What a talent!!!!

  • great tune about a group looking for a place with great acoustics

  • im a 15 year old kid that screams and plays guitar for a screamo band, and loves death metal and stuff

and this is by far my favorite song of ALL time

    lol

and just so you know im not kidding, it really is

  • OMG, what a collection you got. Thanks for sharing it. Doowop is not usual here in Sweden. Very difficult to find here. Once again, many thanks.
