  • for christmas:

    - to be born in 1946 and not 1998

    -time machine

    - yeah, and this awesome car

  • do i care about the gas this car takes? nah.

do i care about its beauty? well, yeah!

so quit whining about how much gas it takes

  • I am speechless. This is absolutely gorgeous. Perfect. A.) I wish they had made a Fleetwood Coupe or Fleetwood Brougham Coupe with a Vinyl roof that year. And B.) What year did the 500 engine go in all the big Cad. sedans, 71??

  • @friendofInks Thank you! This video was taken before I had her painted. Check my other vids for the results. To answer your question about the 500 engine it went into all Cadillacs in 1975.

  • Grand and glorious. And listen to that thumping exhaust! Great car!

  • Awesome!

  • My boss had a 70 Coupe Deville back then, I drove it a few times man what a car all plush and all that crome. The cars now may be fast but no character at all.

  • Is this starting from cold or warm?

  • 1959 el dorado > all other cars put together

  • How did we go from this to a "Smart Car"? I am so depressed.

  • Thats a car you go cross country in but the way gas prices are, you better be doing OT for a whole year.

  • Now that is a class ride.

Thanks for the comment on my Lincoln.

  • Ahh.... An American classic. Screams conspicuous consumption! We are losing our identity.

  • Pristine. Nice to see where my sts grille stems from.

  • beautiful caddie

  • Is that OE exhaust? The 472 sounds great!

  • I used to have one just like this and could not park it anywhere!!

  • i owned one of these in 1980 and it could do tire burnouts easely enough with the 375 hp 472 cubic inch engine

  • Half these comments are about the gas!! WHO CARES!!! Just fill it back up!! This car is so beautiful man!!! Props to you for keepin her beautiful!!

  • hey bud.. I saw you commented on my 60 Cadillac.. I just bought a 73 Calais with airbagged suspension that's gloss black and has the 472.. I'll upload a vid this week.. awesome car you've got there bud!

  • @SippRider89 Thank You... Did you see my video of it after the new paint job?

  • what does that get four miles to the gallon and very nice

  • @KaRnAgE1228 10 MPH in town and 14MPH on the highway.

  • @fillmore593 thats not that bad i was thinkin 6mpg in city ahaha

  • ITS A BOAT!

  • @fillmore593 Better than my truck with its 351....AND you get to ride in style. NICE

  • i love that car but how much is it need gasoline on 1 mile ?

  • @1xura 10 miles per gallon

  • @fillmore593 it`s not even much !!!

  • @fillmore593 It's terrible!!! But it is the price you pay for old school style. : )

  • you sir have a nice coupe deville one of my favorite luxury cars

  • very nice

  • my dream ride......

  • btw, hey! that's my livingroom couch in the back seat there? how'd you get it inside?

  • I love that this car was actually called a "Coupe" at one time in car history.. more like Land Yacht

  • Nice car

  • Oh cool , is this the new Cadillac coupe of 2010? wow

  • What part of Florida U in ?

  • and this.. this is a passion.. sweet!

  • what a beauty !! i could listen to this street vessel idling just all day long and never get tired :) treat her well , greetings from germany :)

  • everyone loves this car in the whole world because its the best period

  • EinfachHhammer der Sound

  • Late 1960's and early 1970's was the greatest time for American cars.

  • the front looks like the grand prix 69

  • muy bello

  • that thing looks comfy and sounds like a growling beast. that have a 472 in it?

  • @julescicle yes a 472 V8

  • wow..

i wonder if you find this car in switzerland.

  • awesome!!!!

  • Oh hell yeah, 1970 was one of the all time greatest years for cars in general. This monster is my favorite caddy design, with the exception of the Eldo same vintage. Nice car buddy!!

  • That's exciting! Ya, you should def make a vid.

  • livingroom on wheels...love it!

  • Yep she's being painted right now so I should have a video or slide show pretty soon.

  • I love Cadillac grills

  • niceeeeee

  • Very nice I had a 1970 Cadillac in 1975

  • Does any body remember the Caddilac Calle that was the basic bare bones Caddilac,no tilt,no tape player,no major options. But it was still a Caddilac.

  • Of course, Cadillac made the Calais from 1965 to 1976 and was the replacement name for the Cadillac Series 62.

  • @805219 I had a 69 calais for 13 yrs from 76 to 89. was a great car.

  • It's a great looking car, but there are a couple of things that would really make it correct. 1. The wheel covers are from a 1969. Finding a set of 1970 covers would make it better. 2. One of my real peeves is to see exhaust tips left hanging down with a square cut on the end. Have someone taper the cut like the factory did. Otherwise, it's a Great looking coupe!!

  • I put the 69 wheel covers on it because I like the way they look (kept the originals) and I've had the pipes cut sense this video was shot.

  • Very good, I always liked the 70 caps better, but to each his own.

  • This car is a good example of how a restored vintage car should be, i like how you restored this car and original 15" rims and hubcaps. I know a lot of people would put those god awful 19 or 20" rims and low profile tires on them and boom box speakers and road tv's in them. I like restos like this, all original and real old school.

  • thank you, but I haven't restored it and I agree with about the boom boxes and the rims... Booo!

  • y like how clean ur car looks man nice one love this car

  • damn that sounds fresh , very nice

  • that car is so awesome like this is my dream car man like i cant not beleive the shape of it if you ever sell it let me know thanks but my advice is never sell that car she is gonna be worth a shit load soon

  • I'm thinking about getting one of these, I saw one in perfect condition, low miles and has a Flowmaster exhaust for $3200.

Is that a good deal. How do you get in the rear seats? they just fold over like that in the video?

  • Yep, just like in the video. One note, on the Coupe deVilles with power locks the seats have automatic latches that lock and unlock when either door is opened. On the coupes with no power locks the button to release the seat back is located on the side of the seat near the top.

  • thanks for the info!

what about the $3200 part, is that a good deal?

  • Yes

  • man, that's a real car, not one of those mitsubishi, toyota, mazda, etc. electric shavers. You must be really proud.

  • You are absolutely right, my tailights on my 71 were different from my 74 and my 78 tailights were also different from my 80 and 85...... you know your Caddy's

  • Loved Cadillac sense I was a little kid. My aunt had a 76 coupe deville white with black leather and that car alone is the reason I fell in love with the standard of the world.

  • It's funny, my father was the kinda guy who would buy "anything" that runs, however he never had a Caddy. I had friends who had luxury cars so i inherited the desire to own luxury cars through my friends, so when i bought my 74 Sedan Deville in 1983 my father was jealous because he owned a bullshit 73 Buick Apollo, a few years later he bought an 81 Sedan and then appreciated what it felt to own by far one of the most prominent american automobiles existing today.... Cadillac.

  • The standard factory taillights from 1971-1976 and the standard taillights from 1977-1979 and the standard taillights from 1980-1992

  • Cadillac went from a 2 year styling cycle to a 3 year cycle starting in 1971 it went '69-'70, '71-'73, '74-'76, '77-'79 and '80 to '92, dropping the De ville rear wheel platform and just keeping with the Brougham. The 1969 and 1977 models both had there own tail light design apart from all the others.

  • I plan to get another Fleetwood coupe, preferably white/blue or burgundy velour which were mainly in the "DeElegance" model design..

  • The only difference between the 69 and the 70 Coupe and Sedan Deville was the grill...... that's it

  • and the taillights

  • When i was a kid, those cars were running around all day long, now they are considered classic automobiles and respected highly, i've had 5 caddys and they were all memeorable to me

  • what of Cadillacs have you owned?

  • My first was a 1971 Sedan Deville, my second was a 1974 Sedan Deville, my third was a 1978 Coupe Deville, My fourth was a 1980 Coupe Deville, my fifth was a 1985 Fleetwood Brougham Coupe

  • which was your fave?

  • My fave was the 1978 Coupe Deville, it was White w/ Saddlewood leather, a great color combo for that year, this car was really clean, i bought it for a mere $400 dollars from a guy in Brooklyn and i received alot of compliments with this car, by far my best Caddy, i miss it....

  • I like the color and the 2-door of the 1969-1970 model

  • thats the same color of the 72 bonneville i am looking to acquire

  • It could be mixed with brown and green.

  • What do you mean?

  • I first thought the car was black, I got a closer look, it look mixed with brown and green.

  • Yep its brown as brown can be. The color is code #69 for and is called Dark Walnut Iridescent and the iridescence is what makes it look a little green in certain light.

  • My 71 Sedan Deville had the brown exterior similar to yours, but i didn't have that beautiful dark brown interior, my interior was beige/tan leather. What do you think about that ugly eyesore plaid material Cadillac put in some of their cars from 71-76 mostly with the front "bench" seat with the armrest??

  • The Cadiblack.

  • hey fillmore, nice car man

the two exhaust pipes on ur deVille...are they stock or did u built ur own exhaust system?

wish u lots and lots of beautiful miles with the car a real nice ride :)

  • Thank you!!! ; )

The dual exhaust pipes were added by the previous owner. This Cadillac originally came with one pipe.

  • Do you know what type of mufflers are installed? I'd love to give mine a little more sound.

  • This car, is way beyond perfect!

  • my 1st car

  • my dream car since a was young... one day i ll have it

  • No caddy looks hideous to me, owned many and we still have our 70 convert.

See my video on my channel. I love the look of the 70.

  • thats the best year/omwe for sale here fpr 5800. mint cond.

  • I admit the 1970 Cadillac is a take it or leave it design, but it's mine, so for me even owning a Cadillac "hideous" or not is a great honor.

  • I didn't mean any disrespect though. If its in my car's family its still a great car.

  • r u crazy its a buet, 1970 one of the top years

  • No this is RWD and this has the 472 V8 where as the Eldorado had the 500 V8.

  • And the Eldorado is FWD? They have RWD too? Im asking because I intend to buy myself old-school American classic

  • From 1967 until 2002 all Eldorados were FWD. You will only find the Eldorado in RWD from 1953 to 1966.

  • Whats the difference between this and Eldorado? Sorry I'm not that familiar with old Caddies

  • Nice Caddy, 1968-70 will always be my favorite years for the Caddies, love the high compression 472 motors.

  • Comment removed

  • whats the MPG lolz

  • 10 city and 14 hwy

  • wow, i might need to rethink my my first car choice lol

  • They're amazing.

  • I´m from Germany, and yeah i dont like these new cars! i want a classic car like this Caddy, i love it!

  • Just to fall in love with!

  • Dude, I am a Christian. I am seriously teetering on the borderline of Envy. I'm so close to falling off the edge.

    I..........

    want......

    that......

    C A R !

The paint. The sound. The grill. The lights. The interior. Classic Dash. The leather. Perfection. I'm sweating your car bro. One day, I will find one!

  • THAT'S MY FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAVORITE CAR!

    I WANT THAT CAR!

Funny, I've always wanted a black one too!

  • id drive the heck out of it the way it is....new big fancy rims or nothing....maybe add a cd player but other then that id keep it original

  • i saw electric windows and i guess air conditioning too... look how nice the front seat opens... not directly to front making it much easier to pass to back seat than any modern car.

    awsome machine

  • Now That's A Cadillac~

  • Beautiful I love it!

  • niiiiicceeee

  • It has a 26 gallon tank, gets 10 miles per gallon city and 14 miles per gallon on the highway.

  • Absolutely great! Anyway how much of petrol does it take?

  • makes any car today look like a piece of shit lol

  • The 63 is one of my favorite models. Your car looks awesome.

  • The front plate is a vintage Florida plate from 69-70. Florida, unlike other states does not require front identification, although if I wanted, I could have the old plate registered for use.

In FL when a vehicle is more than 25 years of age, you are given the option of an "antique" plate, which is why the rear plate is blue.

  • Just wondering, i live in australia, but why are the front number plates different from the back plates in america? Well it looks like that anyway...

  • Happy, happy car! Thanks for this video, it brought back many happy memories. The squeak of the seat and the "Body By Fisher" logo sign -- yes! Yours has all the upgrade toys like the dashboard clock and the night-sensor lights. Yummy. Beautiful ride!!

  • PS: "Twilight Sentinel", that's what the lights were called.

Five of us used to go to lunch in it and one of the guys said "Jeeze, you could play musical chairs back here!"

  • great car in perfect conditions

  • Cool, you gonna post a vid?

  • I just got one of these. Exactly the same as this one, but I have some work to do on the cosmetics....Great car!

  • got the power seats and everything! nice

  • you are lucky guy :)

    greate car!

  • Beautiful car. Runs, sounds and looks very good. I like it when it is all original.

  • duuuuude, I SO WANNA OWN & RIDE A 70 Coupe deVille!

  • i love the quality of these old Cadillacs

great car hope to have a 70 coupe deville of my own soon or maybe a 69 Eldorado

  • i love this cadillac!!! elle est magnifique, la grande classe a l'époque.

  • They had a huge interior. You could fit two teenagers and a bottle of wine in the back seat. And never wrinkle their cloths on the floor. I Know it's the truth! ;)

  • My Caddy book says they felt it was no longer necessary to state the obvious. Meaning everyone knew Cadillacs had v8's. My personal opinion is it was a cheap way to differentiate the '69 from the '70. They only removed the V for '70 and '71, so I guess that makes ours different, and I'm cool with that.

  • Wow it's just like mine.....I wonder why they did away with the V in 1970

  • I just came.

  • Damn, this is really nice, but my dad's os even better, H-Pipe, not cats, and loud as hell, every time its in the garage i have to plug my ears, real classic, has nitrous (button in the ashtray) and it runs 12.80's in a 1/4 mile

  • My father had the same car, his was dark grey/black vinyl top and a "fire engine- red" leather interior. It was the most talked about car in the neighborhood! That car would literally glide down the road and would shift as smooth as silk. And it was "very" powerful. My Dad and Mom went across country in it, back in "78" My moms favorite feature of that Cadillac were the high back seats. I saw my dad pulling into our driveway a trillion times over just like your clip. truly a "jewel" Thanks

  • beautiful wonderful caddy

  • I just got rid of my '70 deville because of so much rot...but she purred just like this one

  • Favoloso il rumore del V8!!!!!!!!

  • man i love the seats really nice classic car

  • you just have to love that car, the creak of the leather seats the burble of the twin pipes. i run a 75 eldorado with 500 c.i and I swear it does not sound as good as that!

  • The trick to making it sound like that is to take resonators off.

  • I have a 1973 with the 500 cu in engine and it sounds really awful, almost like a 6 cylinder compared to this Caddy!

    Lol

  • you must have a shitty exhaust then

  • love that sweet v8 sound.

  • It's the most beautiful american car I know.

I recently saw a white one similar to that in Bamberg, Germany. It sounds so damn great when accelerating!

It is also very funny to see one of these beside modern supermini. I love it!

  • Ahh... memories. I had a '70 sedan. That 472 sounds rightous. I roll a '72 T-bird now w/429,you know, for the mileage.

  • rly nice car man

  • The pedal to the left is the auxiliary (emergency) brake pedal.

  • why are there 3 pedals(if its automatic)?

  • are they fwd?

  • No, only Eldorado's were FWD.

  • does it have just 3 gears forward? auto or manual?

  • Yes, it has an automatic 3 speed Turbo Hydra-Matic 400 transmission. Cadillac had quit offering manual transmissions by 1970.

  • I thought Cadillac had stopped making manual transmissions after the 1940s with the exception of the 1980s Cimarron's and the 2000s CTS's

  • this is no doubt one of the most beautiful cars ever made...if it weren't for the stupid gas prices we'd still be cruising with sweet sounding 472's

  • Igen, ez az AUTO. A V8-hang pedig csodálatos!

Yes, this the CAR. V8 sound is beautiful!

    ;)

  • Absolutely beautiful! Cherry car!

  • is that rear wheel or front wheel drive?

  • It's rear wheel drive... The only car Cadillac made with front wheel drive at that time, was the Eldorado.

  • Hello Guys. Can anyone tell me, where are the Cadillac cars sold in UK or USA? would be great if you write phone number or web site. thx.

  • My mom had one for years and loooved it, it was a 70 something but it had 4 doors, well years later she sold it to my brother-in-law and it now has a nice black paint job, really gorgeous and is entered in a carshow!
