I think this guy's got it all wrong. My theory is that every dimension exists in every place, just like we can see a sheet of paper, even though it may have very little width, its impossible for something to only have 2 dimensions, it's therefore impossible for something to only have 3 dimensions if there are more above it. Sorry I'd write a LOT more and explain myself better but youtube hardly lets you write anything these days
@Lucky466 Dimension: a property of space; extension in a given direction: A straight line has one dimension, a parallelogram has two dimensions, and a parallelepiped has three dimensions. There's no conceivable example for a four, five, six etc.-dimensional object.
@MrHappy70 Well, it is conceivable, you just cant have an example of it. Basically since it's not a direction we can point to, then we cant give examples of it or really prove it. But its like math, as math as a whole is really entirely abstract; its amazing how the idea of algebra and more complicated things exist and were somewhat invented by us, but it would be impossible for them not to exist in any dimension, but it is all really just ideas. And I could say the same with god, for example
@MrHappy70 See, I still have problems with the fact that people just pull out time as the 4th dimension, (I mean why not motion or sound considering it could just as easily be something like that and time isnt the only option), but if you think about it, what better represents a real direction that we cant see, or tell where we are. We know there is a distance of how far we can cross it, through clocks proving its there, sorta like if we only measured length by how long it takes to cross.
@TheLifeDegenerator A rose is still a rose, even if you've seen a million of them. They are still as beautiful to artists, mathematicians or anyone else now as they were when Socrates wrote about logic or Chaucer wrote about the face of beauty. OK, the whole Einstein bit might be tad cliché but he's got a point: old ideas can still impact people when they discover their meaning for themselves. i.e.: how do we comprehend something einstein says should exist but we haven' t yet been able to prove.
While I agree that lysergic acid can be a liberating experience... the inarticulate nature of the "profound" findings of those tripping aren't actually tangible, or helpful to the rest of us.
@swankrecords Your perceptions do not breach the dimensions you're bound by. No amount of drugs can do that. Tripping is awesome but it's perception and nothing else. You're not travelling around the universe experiencing scientific truth or some shit.
theoretical physics is very interesting as humans try and grasp just who we are. i recommend michio kaku and brian greene who are both involved in string theory and neil degrasse tyson, astrophysicist, who is one of the most intelligent people on the earth. they will give you an amazing perspective on the universe and how small we are in the grand scheme of things
They keep asking how to inspire young people, but I don't think we'd have a problem inspiring young people if there wasn't so many uninspiring representations of scientists and science, and how cool people aren't smart, and smart people aren't cool. People who are lazy, scholastically, hide behind cool and use it to puff themselves up. If we started calling them on it, I think more people would build on their initial wonder that is at the heart of science.
@neoaeonian We need more people like Dr Adam Rutherford and Professor Brian Cox involved in science ... Science is bloody amazing .. unfortunately there are a lot of incredibly boring people involved in science and uninspiring
this dude is very much into the carl sagan...

I love this guy's passion and intellect. I just feel sorry for him that he believes in more than 3 dimensions. =(

@MrHappy70 you don't? why not? Btw I take it you're an atheist, however the other dimensions can actually be proved with science

Can you imagine a world where young kids looked up to this guy instead of Jay-Z, Bieber and Kim Kardashian? Imagine...

This guy pisses me off, pretending to be all philosophical talking about concepts that have been around for decades.
And these douches always have to quote Einstein as an "inspiration".
I bet he believes in time travel too.

@TheLifeDegenerator
time travel / extreme dilation is possible; and supported by physics.
send an astronaut to the moon and back.... technically they're time traveling.
