It is only one of the pieces in this medly (at 2:13) but this medly should actually a "Muddly"lol because I did it on the fly and had some brain farts along the way....YIKES!!!!!!!
You should apply for a job working for Disney or Knotts Berry Farm. But you'll have to memorize your music! You have a great western charater look! Nice talent. Keep it up. :-)
That is outstanding Rufus. you Played nearly every fiddle tune I have ever heard, and plyed them well... When you recover from celebrating, I wish you a very Happy New Year.. *ron
That's awsome. I do Rev. War reeacting 1777 to 1779 and all of those tunes I've marched to converted to fife of course and acompanied by snare and tenor drums...I'd never known the names before.
The first one is My love is but a lassie yet, the second one is Patronella..., but the third one is De Year of Jubelo, then The Girl I left behind me, then after I fumble a bit, back to Jubelo then I can't remember what the one is after that...I'll have to check in me olde book. Thanx
This takes me back. When I was a kid we used to go to forts and do revolutionary war renactments. We dressed up and all that fun stuff. At night when the tourists were gone, the renactors would have old fashioned dances.
Glad you liked it. I love reinacting, I think I will do alot more of it in the next few years just as a camp fiddler! I couldn't hit the broad side of a barn door even if the entire barn was the door...so I guess I won't even pretend to be a military person...love just sittin around the camp fire playing music and having a swiggy-pooh! Thanks for stopping by.
They need to have more of them around here though, very few in these parts. When they do have these dances most of them around here just use CD's for the music instead of real musicians because of the cost to pay them unfortunately...it's a shame.
Don't know if the bands around here charge, but I've always seen a live band.
If they volunteered, it would be great, but I doubt it. The problem around here is the dances end around 10:30 now, when they used to go to about midnight.
Thanks, I should do more serious ones, but every time I do a song in front of a camera I fowel up lol! So that's why I feel more comfortable when Rufus takes the wheel.
This ain't the Girl I Left Behind me?
