I dont hate Fallout 3 nor do i hate new vegas, I am angry at Bethesda because they bought the rights for the franchise from Interplay to then release an amazing game that bugged.

Interplay did a great job with Fallout 1 and 2, and Bethesda then showed us that it also can be done the wrong way with throwing a half finished product on the market, and then instead of comming with a real fix, they rather fired their DLC´s there after to make some more cash from those who addicted enough to buy them even if they have to restart the game every 5 minutes. @ilikejenna No. Bethesda bought the rights to make 1 title. They didn't buy the whole franchise. Interplay own it, but Bethesda found a loophole in the contract that allows them to claim that they own it. It's a fuck-up on the copyright system in America. It's things like this that allow EA to get away with some of the things they do. If Interplay backed down, that's letting the bigger company win, and thus, we won't see the Fallout MMO. This is why I wish fellow game designers would colaborate.

@left4trance Either way I don't want to see Interplay make it. NOONE FROM THE OLD INTERPLAY EVEN WORK FOR THE COMPANY ANYMORE. Most if not all of them work for Obsidian now. If anything, I'd want Obsidian to do the Fallout MMO.

@ilikejenna Most of them, and that "most" are mainly modellers and skinners. The original coders and script-writers for Interplay are still working at Interplay. I'd prefer a colaboration of the 2, rather than a good looking game with no plot, small level design, and bugged to shit.

Bethesda indeed revive the series. They used there own Elder Scrolls engine to make one of the greatest games of all time and even were faithful to Black Isles games. They treated the series like their own and later hired back all of the Black Isle crew ( now called "Obsidian" ) to work on Fallout New Vegas. Also, can't wait for Fallout 4 and Fallout Online (or "F.O.O.L.).

They brought Fallout into the mainstream which was a great idea for reviving a series that was over 10 years old and in the computer only market, that's a LONG time. They brought it to consoles and gave a new generation a chance to enjoy it. If Bethesda didn't care about the fans, I honestly believe they wouldn't have tried to make Fallout. I believe it's a rare circumstance of developers listening to fans.
