I wonder what explicit or compromising photos Greg Rochford has
of the NSW ALP because ambo's get sacked for standing up to bullies, yet he has survived numerous inquiries and reviews that have identified him and most of State HQ as corrupt, bullies, idiots deadbeats.
This clip is gold.....I think I might link to this when I ramp up my pre-election campaign to sack these tools at the top......pfffffft tea.
I must point out though that having a uniformed CEO is not the be all and end all. Vic has a uniformed CEO and its not all rosy here either. Personally i dont are what the CEO wears as long as he/she is a good business person, and above all else, a good people person.
before you judge my comments take a look at the comments posted by our comrades on the other ambulance rescue post on youtube. im embarrassed to say the least. the nswfb hasn't "stolen" rescue from us and then don't deserve the disrespect they have been shown by us. why critisise an angency that already attends so many more rescues than us anyway. our rescue co-workers behaviour is an absolute embarresment. the sooner rescue is gone and forgotten the better! im sure alot of you agree..
I for one do not agree, If you think for one minute that losing rescue from our service is only the thin end of a very large wedge, you are sadly mistaken. Roachford has an agenda and he is using Mullens to pursue it. There is no money in Emergency work, only in NEPT. So get ready to start wearing a green shirt because when Mr. Tetley is finished that is all any of us will be doing and it wont matter what you are call, paramedic, ICP, driver because all we will be doing is humping veg.
"You Tube" is an incredible social media tool and a great way to deliver a message. The challenge is how to expliot it successfully and maintain a sense of integrity. Lots of hits so far - but lets improve the comments

As the CEO of ASNSW you would think that "Mr Rochford" would actually defend his staff instead of ridiculing them on national tv. I think his comments are better thrown out with the tea bag. To the public-I am sorry, but as a paramedic of 12 yrs experience I have had enough of sitting in bed-block, on overtime, with no plan in place to go home at the end of my shift. Very soon I will be leaving you on your own in these overloaded hospitals and going home when my shift is over. Greg Rochford-you are an idiot.

However, this type of abusive language does not help. I put the video up to shine a light on what mgmnt think of paramedics. Lets not stoop to their level. Greg, I agree that we should remain constructive. My constructive comment is that Mr. Greg Roachford (sorry did I spell that correctly) should immediately resign as CEO of ASNSW. This is in my humble opinion, after all how can an organisation be lead by someone who enjoys absolutely no confidence in his ability to run a chook raffle let alone the largest Ambulance Service in Australia!

I work for NSW Health in a Hunter Hospital and bed block is when emergency departments are unable to offload their admissions to the wards either due to lack of beds or lack of specialty review within the 8 hours period.
When they can't unload to a ward it then flows on to the waiting rooms and the ambulances.
It is nothing unusual for a category 4 or 5 triage patient to be waiting up to 8 hours to be seen by a doctor due to the bed block.
To any member of the public reading this, bed block is due to the FACT that there are not enough beds in hospitals for patients. They have to stay on our stretcher until a bed is available. If that takes an hour or four, then thats what happens. And at some stage we need a drink and a pee Mr Rochford!
Being a long serving member of the service I am disgusted and offended to have watched such comments coming from our CEO. My concern over these comments is what do you think the general public are thinking of us now Mr Roachford?? Do you think officers want to stand around hospitals for hours or like YOU said "drinking cups of tea" when there are sick or even critically injured people wanting our assistance on the road and we cannot go to thier assistance because of the Health Systems bedblock!
