@warddraw4 The Wii has no prevention of that. Super Smash Bros. Brawl has a limited version, and Tatsunoko vs. Capcom (both versions) has a full version. WarioWare DIY does too.

For this, I believe it's because this is Nintendo's first online Wii game. The entire game is pretty limited in functionality, really.

First of all, nice battle. I have some questions/comments:

1. Deoxys is so awesome!

2. Nice job with Grass Knot.

3. Why didn't you use Ice Beam on Jumpluff, since it is 4x weak (Grass & Flying), instead of Bug Buzz, which is 2x effective with 1.5x attack bonus from Same Type Attack.

4. Why does the battle stop at 5 min?

Masquerain has a Choice Scarf as his Hold Item. It restricts me to using only one move until Masquerain switches out.

The battle ends as normal: When all of a player's Pokémon are knocked out or if someone surrenders. I don't know why you'd think it would last longer.

I know the battle ends when all of one side's pokemon faints or the player gives up. What I should have asked is why this particular battle video ended at 5 minutes and 16 seconds, it looks like you still had a minute or so of battleing left, but the video cuts off.

Pure technique. You need to squeeze all the potential you can out of the Pokémon you have. You also need to understand your opponent's Pokémon better than they understand their own.

Jumpluff doesn't have the offensive power to do a one-hit KO. It's impossible to KO this Plusle in one hit anyway.

No, he was an annoyer: Toxic, Sand-Attack, Mean Look, and Confuse Ray. It worked wonderfully in Pokémon Stadium 2, but what worked then might not work now, and I couldn't get much done with Umbreon like that in any way.

A metagross could easily beat your embreon.Toxic doesn't affect steel types and its "Clear Body" abilty would negate sand attack.

Maybe Umbreon could work,but just with a different team.

Yeah, Steel types, Poison types and Pokémon with the Immunity Ability would make quick work of Umbreon. The main thing that makes Umbreon no longer work is the EV system--I could make an Umbreon with really crazy Defense and Special Defense in my Silver version, and the computer opponents couldn't do a thing with my Umbreon.

Payback,Moonlight,Curse,and Baton Pass with leftovers.None of my pokemon could get to half his health.And if they did,he would just used moonlight.And once ho got to 6 curses and used payback,it was a dead end for me.

Your opponent musn't be aware that EQ doesn't affect Jumpluff 'cuz it's part Flying-type, or that Electric-type attacks will only do normal damage since its Grass-type part nullifies its weakness to Electric-types... so it used protect.

I suspect Jumpluff used Protect because my opponent didn't see Grass Knot coming. He probably thought I'd have both Plusle and Minun attack Jumpluff.

True, he/she probably thought your Minun and Plusle only had electric-type moves, which wouldn't affect Rhyperior. Although his/her prediction was wrong, which ended as a waste of turn that could've been used ofr Sleep Powder/ Stun Spore/ Leech Seed for Jumpluff.

No, that's not how Grass Knot works. The heavier the target, the more damage it does. Rhyperior is among the heaviest of Pokémon excluding Legendaries, so Grass Knot will do a lot of damage to one.

I have no idea what happened with the incident that you described. Do you remember the Pokémon that did Grass Knot to your Rhyperior?

Yeah, it had Umbreon (Mean Look, Confuse Ray, Toxic, Sand-Attack) and Dugtrio (Slash, Fissure, Stone Edge, Earthquake), but they didn't work out so well, so I swapped them out for Lucario and Corsola.

This is the only Battle Pass I've ever changed Pokémon in.

But just one question for you, why plusle and minun, I'll admit helping hand is good when teamed with a pokemon with, lets say, razor leaf, but neither of them had an attack like that. I don't know. I don't intend to use Darkrai. You should test it out yourself by putting it on a Battle Pass, then bringing it online. If it's not allowed to go online, you'll be told so before you even face someone.
