Remember what countless people in Bleach have said - if you lack the killing intent, you can't take offensive positions and attacks properly. Orihime doesn't have that. Since it was shown that she has similar powers as Hachigen Ushoda, and we've seen Hacchi pwn Barragan, she could use her powers in a similar way, but she chooses not to. She excels in healing, which is of much better use - living to fight another day. :D
the reason why we're hooked to bleach is that we like the authr Tite kubo for his creative imagination.therefore we hve to respect him by respecting one of his creation-Inoue Orihime.accept her for what she is.. im pretty sure Kubo has his own reasons why he created her... she's only acting based on the script given to her by the author...

Facing Yammy to save Chad, keeps her cool when she face Ulquiorra to save that 2 shinigami etc.
And she is the only one in the group who notice Ishida problem.
