  • Why didn't they let Mick sing his song? You don't ask a legend on stage and then just let him strum a few chords!!! They should've let him sing lead as well as play lead!

  • Jesus, hasn't gillespie been around long enough to get some singing lessons?

  • they should be thrown in jail for crimes against music, they say they love music but why do they murder it so much ?

  • i do respect your view but you are wrong!

  • I also see where your coming from. But Micks there, so it all evens out.

  • Good version

  • this song was written by Michael Jones in a high rise flat under the westway

  • Casbyhockeyballs is right, it was originally written by Joe Strummer while in the 101ers, but was adjusted and re-written with Jones during the days of the Clash.

  • ermm no it wasnt mate if was written by joe when he was in his prevous band the 101s and mike liked it so much he asked joe if he could use it for the clash sets yes he did change a few of the lyrics but it was joes song.

  • Mick, not Mike. Respect for a legend, please.

  • It's really Michael.

  • Yes, Michael Jeffrey Jones, but no-one call him Mike. Mick's his name.

  • Well, his dear old nan did.

  • must have been a few years ago cos jones is still hanging onto his hair. this song started life with the 101ers in the mid 70s, so actually owes more to strummer than jones.

  • "still hanging on to his hair"

    HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

  • Great

  • Love this song!

  • i was anticipating this being awful, but it absolutley wasn't! it was pretty good!

  • This is great - when was it shot?

  • i think it was from the reading festival 1994, wellerinla....tis great! =)

  • wow. this is great. thanks for the clip

  • I love this song. Love to see a live version with joe in it though :(

  • but joe did nothing live in it.

  • What are you talking about?

  • his guitar was never turned up loud enough,-mick sang and played for it.

  • Ye maybe so, but he strummed and banged his legs and looked cool, and i mean really cool. You can never get bored of watching that.
