how can you dislike this? it's not to turn kids into fighters, and even if it was, fighting in the cage and fighting in the street are two completely different things. He's not trying to teach them how to fight, he is just trying to give them something to hold onto, that's why he said each lesson will affect each one in a different way. Every 1 there will have something to pursue, even if is something as simple as losing weight/getting a better posture, to something as important as building up a strong character through spiritual strengthening

@ayobpala you mention aggression in the cage, but that's where it belongs. However, you ignore the dedication and many years of disciplined and training leading up to this. Martial arts is about discipline, perseverance and self improvement. These are all valuable traits of a good character. Don't underestimate MMA, it's not as shallow as you assume. Wanderlei Silva is giving direction to children who otherwise would be aimless.

@ayobpala i believe u need to learn some compassion and love. first of all wanderlei is taking a large group of kids who blood parents did not or could not take care of. and if you listen to the first words spoken by silva he says it is a physical, psychological and spiritual teaching he is giving them, even if all the kids don't stick to it the small percentage who do will have the confidence in life to go after any dream that may have been dead when they became a foster kid.
@ayobpala true fighters learn focus, fighters learn discipline, fighters learn respect by the oponent, you learn your weaknesses and how to improve them, you need to be inteligent and fast, you learn to win; most important, you learn to fail, you learn how to get control of your body and mind . And they don't need to do this for the rest of their lives, but if they apply those things that I mentioned, I think that they will get better results in any part of their lives. Don't you think?

This quy is out of his mind, I have to say his intetention is good, but compelety useless what he try to teach this childern, if he was just trying to teach them sport it was ok, but he sooner or later turn these kids to be a mindless product for UFC, and take back those childern in this vast advance of human's life into a stone age,, if one look at UFC fighters that is the case, where two mindlss people bit the shit out of each other, then happily hug eachother!, Man teach them compassion,love.

@ayobpala i believe u need to learn some compassion and love. first of all wanderlei is taking a large group of kids who blood parents did not or could not take care of. and if you listen to the first words spoken by silva he says it is a physical, psychological and spiritual teaching he is giving them, even if all the kids don't stick to it the small percentage who do will have the confidence in life to go after any dream that may have been dead when they became a foster kid.

@ayobpala true fighters learn focus, fighters learn discipline, fighters learn respect by the oponent, you learn your weaknesses and how to improve them, you need to be inteligent and fast, you learn to win; most important, you learn to fail, you learn how to get control of your body and mind . And they don't need to do this for the rest of their lives, but if they apply those things that I mentioned, I think that they will get better results in any part of their lives. Don't you think?
