Alright so I'm a newbie to photoshop. Let's say I wanted to make a black and white (greyscale) picture of my pet snake, but highlight certain colors and make them pop against the darker colors. In short, I found a picture like this online that I can send you, but I'd like to make my own with my own pet snake for obvious personal reasons.

hey that's really a nice tutorial, short and informative

but actually i got a problem

when i used the brush i got an error message

"could not use the history brush because the history state does not contain a corresponding layer"

please help me with this

@kashish736 make sure that you "open" your picture from the "File" section and then doing the saturation and thereafter black on black and finally using your brush.
