  • There is a dare on 13horror.com - it is scary. Be careful.

  • Deep song...

  • i loooove this song :( it makes me cry! :'( i mis u mine

  • such a great tune

  • Saved <3

  • I first heard this on Saved!

This is an amazing song :)

  • I've first discovered that I loved this genre, and this music, THEN I heard it on Scrubs. Great music, Great Show.

  • imho, better version is cover by Colplay :P

  • SHUT THE FUCK UP I DON'T CARE IF YOU THINK GOD IS REAL OR NOT SHUT THE FUCK UP AND LISTEN TO THE MUSIC!!!!

  • 276000+ views, amazing! :)

I see many of u heard this song the first time on Scrubs?

Actually, so did i. This one is probably in the top 10 songs ever made.

Thumbs up if you think so too?

    /superciliouz

  • @superciliouz I heard it before but didn't know who song it, when Scrubs came on I finally got enough of the songs lyrics to find out who song it.

  • @superciliouz I actually think this song was first played on the show Numbers, 1 year beforre it was played on Scrubs, for what it's worth.

  • look i'm an atheist but i still love this song. ok the song has a lotof religious messages but who cares... i sure as hell don't (probably not the most appropriate phrase but tbh i don't care) for once can we just put all the religion arguments aside and just appreciate an amazing song

  • frustsong..^^ ds liad is soo qail <3

  • scrubs + the l word + grey's anatomy, always sounds great.

  • No fucking respect. Youtube isn't really the place for religious debate. Have enough respect for other peoples' beliefs. Honestly, I couldn't care less about what you believe or don't. This is just a good song that I heard from Scrubs. lol

  • the L word <3

  • @Dannyrocksass yep =]

    and you?

  • Religon is the start of all wars. It will always be in debate, no question about it. People need to stop preeching and just let everyone believe what they want to believe.

  • @ProntoPurington actually religion is not the start of all wars... generally conflicts occur because of human action NOT a religious precedent- this action usually involves the exploitation of another people through the misuse of religion or though other countless means... religion does not cause conflict- how can a text and a belief force someone to do something? people just dont like taking blame for their own actions so they either blame someone/thing such as religion to avoid consequences...

  • @ProntoPurington WW1=Imperialism, WW2=NAZIsm, Cold War=Communism vs Capatalism, this is exluding all those wars in the 1800's also contributed to imperialism, and some form of economic benifit. Wars not started by religion have caused the death's of more people in a shorter amount of time than ANY war started by religion.

  • @APPLEPIE978 The Crusades (might of spelled that wrong) was like a world war of relegion. tons of ppl died over "holy" land. also the cruption of the catholic relegion caused relegions to split which caused arugments and more bloodshed. just saying :p but anyways, i dont believe in god or relegion but i respect ppl who can believe in that. its hard to live life without believeing in anything. i wish i could believe.

  • @holdmyhandxd HOWEVER, over a million people didn't die within a 4 year period like WW1, WW2. IT MAY have gotten close to a million deaths, but that's over 10 years or more years. The crusades, though not mentioned for it, did have armies on both sides show alot of restraint. The crusades unfortunately are taught with the few outbrusts of violence between the lesser of the religions. In reality there was much muslim's and christian's living peacfully with eachother at the time.

  • @APPLEPIE978 oh okay well i like your icon ;) bleach. gotta love anime lovers <3

  • Respond to this video... SO GTFO OR TRY TO DISPROVE THIS FACT!!!!!

  • I really dont know if Jesus is God or not. There has been many times that I have been wrong in my life and also right as well. thats why I can't say if God exists. Not until the day he comes back, I will confirm my faith. If God or any other God exists, I ask them to come find me, because I am looking for him. I think a God who just wants us to love might be the answer, even if that answer turns out to incorrect.

  • When you find God, you will fint true happiness.

  • @Milos1315 No, when you find something to beliefe in you will find happiness.

  • COUNTER STRIKE SOURCE !

  • this song always gives me a reality check when i've found myself missing the mark

  • Heard this song thru Scrubs and the alternate ending for The Bourne Identity.

  • god is not real but scrubs is

  • Favo <33

  • beautiful song <3

  • S C R U B S ♥

  • Thumbs up if "Saved!" brought you here...

  • if Jesus existed then he was a true genius - pity so many of his followers are sooo stupid!

  • This song means many different things to many different people. The fact that a song says the word God in it doesnt make a religous song. I realize this is but i was brought here cause i first heard it on The L Word.

Put your views aside and listen to the lyrics. Find your own story in the song.

  • I LOVE THIS SONG!

  • Scrubs has the best soundtrack...seriously..

    LOVE THIS SONG

    :)

    <3

  • It's astounding how many people 'discover' songs through modern mass media that have been around far long before they were born...

  • I don't believe in God but I do believe that this is one of the best songs ever written. If you don't believe in a God you don't have to get so worked up about a mention of him in a great song. You can pretend the God he's mentioning is something you do believe in like love or friendship, justice or whatever you want.

The point is whether there's a God or not,or whether you believe in one or not "In the sun" still is one of the best songs out there and you're just lucky you came across it!

  • ♥ Scrubs ♥

  • Great!

  • Why are people discussing such a thing. why doubt something that some people draw strenght from. I personally don't believe but I admire people who have such faith in it. The song is beatiful no matter if you're a christian athiëst muslim ore jew :)

  • skyth3, holmes, if you think this has anything to do with God, you're lost. It's about a soul searching. It is no judgement on anyone or anything regarding religion, or anybody's belief. Just one man's struggle in this world, just like all of our struggles. The man took his life, because he was lost, but his music will last forever. This song, and it's writing is incredible, no debate about it. If you want to make it a religious debate that's your opinion. It's about Human struggle.

  • Fuck everyone arguing I'm atheist and I love this song. Just because you don't believe in god that doesn't make this song worse at all.

  • This is brilliant ...

Not a big surprise that this song was on scrubs .. it's truly amazing :) I'm really loving this ..

every single note and every single word in it ... Thank you so much for uploading this :)

  • I love how so many people find awesome songs through Scrubs.

Scrubs is the bomb. I, too, found this song and others through it.

  • another great song i have found from watching scrubs :)

  • the voice sounds a little like the lead singer from Korn . . . just sayin'

  • `woo go jack and page

scrubs love the episode this is in :)

  • i normally dont hear this type of music... actually i have never heared it, but this song is so amazing

  • Saved! sent me here. :) But Scrubs is pretty cool, too.

  • Thumbs up if you're here cause you heard this song on Scrubs when Jack (Dr. Cox's son) gets baptised in My New God.

  • SCRUBS SENT ME HERE :)

    who else? :D

  • love it :)

  • Joseph Arthur knows my heart.

  • scruuuuuuuuubs <3

  • One of the most beautiful songs ever written in my opinion...

  • scrubs... need i say more!

  • song got me through the most depressing time of my life

  • I find you..

  • Just amazing.

  • twelve persons missed the like-button!

this song is the best I've ever heard so far.

  • thank you Scrubs for bringing me all these great songs!!

  • lie back on your pillow. put your headphones on. you will never have such a relaxing experience.

  • incredible song!

  • m luvin this song from the very 1st moment i heard it...

  • This really reminds me of that song Set Fire To The Third Bar

  • @Ektherion00 I LOVE BOTH SONGS SO MUCH! <3 <3 <3

  • I heard this in Saved. It came out a few years ago. Not very well known but this song connected with me the first time I heard it. I almost never say this, but if I'm already sad, this song brings tears to my eyes....I'm such a fag...

  • bien

  • this song is amazing. i'm a death metal fan, and i find this song absolutely amazing. is most of his music like this? this is really calming and quieting.

  • @clewha Yes, most of Joseph Arthur's music is great. If you want a soothing and quieting album, try his "Redemption Son".

  • i found this song through the l word - it's on one of my favourite scenes, when alice and dana kiss for the first time.. so emotional and lovely

  • i first heard it in scrubs!! <3

    xD

  • It seems everyone heard this from the same place - gotta love Scrubs ^^

I have to say though, I'm a complete Atheist (personal reasons) but this song is sooo beautiful...

  • scrubs is best serie and the songs there are best too for all situation the right song ... 5 *

  • scrubs <3

  • may gods love be with all of you

  • I hadn't heard this song in a few years, and it was practically on a constant rotation during a dark period of my life, when I was deeply depressed, but now that I've rediscovered it, I remember why I listened to it so much. The beauty and message of this song are part of the reason I have a relationship with God today, and why I'm even still alive. Thank you Joseph Arthur.

  • Seems to be about a person watching over you "ie giving an example via god" but it doesn't bother me if its referring to a religion's god, ie christians.

It's a great song and each to their own, I'm agnostic.

But it could also be put into the context of "whatever you believe god to be"

  • This is an amazing song! I'm actually pretty anti-religion but this song doesn't bother me, it's not really about god. I found it from watching scrubs and now I can't stop listening to it! (:

  • Simple but great song... but I don't understand why many are afraid if this song could be about god...and then? Many rock songs talk about the devil and it seems to not scare anyoneXD Sorry for my English

  • @luvlynatalia I think you got it right, even though God is mentioned in the lyrics it isn't about God.

I believe It is about the idea behind God's love. A form of love that can lift you up in darker times, the type of love that forgives, brings you to where you want to be and shows compasion. He's singing about how love is what we all need in today's world. Religous, Agnostic or Atheist, we should strive to love even in times when we find it hard to.

  • Okay. To those ;I don't care about God, shut up about God, it's not about God' people.. God is mentioned repeatedly in the lyrics so clearly he did have some influence.

Also, if you really don't care *that* much then why are you going to such lengths to say it, if you really didn't care you'd ignore it. But instead you're immature and very narrow-minded and therefor have to offend anyone who has a different opinion to you. Wow, respect.

  • my cousin just died...

this reminds me of him. and helps me to get through it.

    thank you joseph arthur

  • @AlexSinHidge good luck

  • la p[riemra vez que la escuche fue con peter gabriel hace 10 años atras y me parericio excelente. pero esta si es rock

  • *stunning*

    sniffles xxx

  • wtf why are people fighting on a video about a song. you all just should realx and listen to the song. if you dont like it then get the fuck out man

  • Great song.

  • this is beautiful

  • If you love this song,

Watch "The Bourne Identity" with the alternate end

  • ya! thats where I first heard it too, then scrubs

  • I find listening to JA just swirls me into the mood of each song - and later, I wake up to glimpse some of the words and discover my poet is speaking in dream-tunes. I follow his Tweets, the man is an artist, poet for sure. I hope he comes to Winnipeg. He was in Minni in December but I couldn't get down there.

  • I never really paid attention to the lyrics in this song, and I don't care if they're religious or not... its a good tune. Enjoy it for that.

  • So beautiful... Fly away... Far...

  • wow i'm kinda getting really sick and tired of these stupid people fighting back and forth talking about proper freaking english..no one really cares just so you know. great song.

  • my comment was in reply to canadian14758, but it kinda looks like i just randomly wrote it.

  • shut up abhout god. trhis is a great song and in dont care about god and how some people believ in it, i too think god doesn't exist but just appreciste the song!

i also found the song through scrubs.

  • @Amoraide

No because if I say a 200 foot monkey doesn't exist it doesn't suddenly make it exist..

Your logic is flawed and you fail.

  • Thats what they said before they found king kong

  • king kong don't care...he just wants his

    bananas....life is bananas.

  • I love how EVERY religious song on youtube has a debate on if God Exists or not.

If Believers and non-believers were comfortable in their belief they wouldn't feel the need to argue.

As a Christian if someone says God doesn't exist you should KNOW differently but you should also respect his belief in nothing.

Same goes for non believers. Why should it bother you if someone believes in something you don't. let them no skin off your back at all.

  • @skyth3 respect his belief in nothing *sigh*

  • @skyth3 Spoken like a true Christian ;)

  • @skyth3 If it only would be that easy ^^

  • @sjoerdkuip It is, that's the sad thing.

  • @skyth3

so truthful. People look for confrontation almost for the sake of confrontation. Its a sad world we live in.

  • @skyth3 because it's what people do with and because of those beliefs that affect everyone else around them.

I would rather have a debate on a youtube video than an all out war.

still annoying, but it beats the alternative.

  • @skyth3 Totally agree bro. You said pretty much everything, with class. I'm a non believer, but as my mom says (she's devoted Christian): "God gave you free will, my son. Go find your own way and be happy."

Also, Voltaire said: "I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it."

Knock this religious fanatism (both one) out. Just enjoy the song, believing whatever you believe.

  • @skyth3 because its cruel to let people live a lie if you knew something amazingly life changing or even something which will make people rethink their existence and question the world then it is the right thing to tell them

  • @Amoraide

'because the fact that you said "god" doesnt exist, shows that you're referring to something. thereby, it exists.'

    poor logic

  • You need a hug =)

  • Hey its a free country to express whatever views in religion you want. READ THE CONSTITUTION and welcome to AMERICA

  • im not an american, thankfully, and believe what you like but just don't try to force it on other people .cough. cough. Fanatical Christians.

  • woo,

For somone that is thankfully not american, you seem to almost captured everything american, "Scrubs" and "Atheism". Your next challenges are

    1. Eat at White Castle

    2. Get Cinemax

With any luck, you can show proper disdain for all things american whle secretly becoming one.

P.S. - We have something call Spell check, I know Microsoft has it (oh wait, they are an american company, darn),

  • Shut the fuck up, ass wipe. How's that for proper English?

  • To Woo5969 oh you don't believe in forcing your beliefs on others? Thats just why you are writing a bitching comment, forcing us to read it. And don't be so ignorant to say shit about stuff you don't know like "fanatical christians"

  • & Let me guess. "Fanatical Christians" is everyone who believes in something besides darkness turns into more darkness than light? & THANKFULLY You're not an American? Have you been to America? & no, New York & Hollywood & all the places people like you go to don't count. By the way, thirty bucks says the chair you're in, the computer you're on, & the song you're listening to is from AMERICA. My condolences, Proud American Christian.

  • shut ur bitch ass stinking mouth bitch and get a life for a change asshole

  • Thank you for such a mature reply. That was really an intelligent assessment.

  • damn rite u r bro!!!!!!

  • @3evotion your a fucking faggot if ur listening to a song that involves god then how the fuck can you say "for all you christian faggots take your shit elsewhere"? why dont you keep your opinions to yourself and go get a life

  • @hazza4495 Maybe, but god could be seen as a metaphor as just simple hope/faith of a loved one.

  • @JackWales08 that may be true to some people but you have to see that most christians would not see it that way and he is blastphemis saying "christian faggots take your shit else where" and that just isnt right

  • @hazza4495 Possibly, but maybe you have to be the bigger person and keep your rebuttal to yourself.

  • love it when I get this song stuck in my head. First heard it in the movie "Saved!" :)

  • I just heard this song in scrubs s5e5 - when Jack, dr.cox son gets baptised.

I'm not the least bit religious, but this song is really nice.

  • yeah i had my face right against the tv to see what the song was durin the credits after that right on youtube

  • @limpedimp exact same, watching it now, love this song <3

  • @limpedimp same man, such a great song for that scene in scrubs.

  • @limpedimp this as almost nothin to do with religion.

  • @limpedimp well i think that the song isn't about how god can help us and stuff: Ohi don't know anymore what is for i'm not even sure if there's anyone who is in the sun....

  • @limpedimp same thats why im looking it up lol

  • @limpedimp I found the song the same way, but never was thinking it would be religious, even if that one line sounds like a blessing or something

  • This song is not about making people believe in god! Its about how Joseph got through those 'dark' times, he talks alot about others being in the sun and if he could see their eyes.. etc...His reference to all of his listeners is

'And trying to find anything you can feel that you can believe in'

It not about believeing in God its about believeing in anything to get you through your hard/dark times. Open your tunnel visions. Peace xx

  • thank you i mean i never really completely understood the lyrics , but i always loved the song.

  • I don't believe in God but this is a good song.

  • Please someone post "Walk Away"

  • this song is awesome:) is so beautiful...

I first heard it on the L world :)

  • I dont believe in god... fuck him! :D

    and I love girls :P

    L word best serie ever!!! (H) :P

  • God doesn't hate you and you can love girls he still loves you. He is real u can believe what you want to believe and i can know what I know.the people who judge are rong I love u I dont even know who u are but I do Know who god is it is not religion it is love lesbianism is a sin he does not hate you for it your struggle is no different then any of mine just because you struggle with homosexuality does not make you one GOD LOVES U MAY GODS LOVE BE WITH U!!!!!!!!!!

  • @dp6277 so the whole "bible" thing doesnt effect you? cuz i think it says you're wrong with the whole "stoning the homosexuals to death" thing

  • wow i think you win the 'stereotypical lesbian' award... congratulations

  • Comment removed

  • I don't believe that he forgives someone who lives with the sin and is committed to it for the rest of their life. I never said he "hated" anyone. I just said that he doesn't approve of lesbianism.

  • I find religion to be hyporcritic, for example, in christianity god forgives everybody, yet adam and eve were banished from the garden of eden, and why the hell make the snake in the first place?

  • thats actually a good point

however, the god in the old testament is a very harsh but forgiving god who does forgive adam and eve but still kicks them out of the garden

most theologians and the church say not 2 take the 1st 12 chapters of genesis literaly

in the new testament god forgives everything becuase that is what jesus teaches

and god didnt create the snake eveil, the snake decided 2 become evil

  • the last point i did not know.

i find it contradictory that even though god made people with free will, he set rules . doesnt that take the free will part away from free will?

  • the whole thing is god wants us 2 do certain things but will not force us 2, thus free will with rules we should follow

  • It's just like in your country. (Unless you live in some Communist or Socialist or whatever) You have free will. But you can't go kill people.

  • Comment removed

  • This story is about a God who has forbidden knowledge and cognition. Is that what you want to believe in?

  • @

    Georgiara144

  • God Didnt make the snake evil, the snake chose to be evil. =) Any way this song isnt about god, its about him and about how he got through darks times and when your going through darks times you need to find something to believe in

  • Anyway, just for those who're curious about that bible stuff, jesus/god does not forgive anyone if you read the bible Jesus was not necissarily good.~ Also, i like soup, do you like soup? D;

  • Id like to see you Scripturally support that.

  • Can I see a quote or scripture or something? Not just your word. I don't remember anything about Jesus hunting down all the people responsible for his death & killing them.

  • =P Well maybe he does?, we'll never know.
