It's not just that. You often swing at the craziest pitches, especially early on. That easily gets the count to 0-2 and the CPU pitcher controls your entire life from there giving you ball after ball that you constantly hit foul. Don't swing at those and get that pitcher to throw you a straight pitch every now and then. Then you might actually get the lead on them first once in a while.
