The turntable is actually hard to scratch good on, no other instrument has a constantly moving part you have to control and manipulate. And you can actually hit notes with a turntable if you are good enough.

to sheaper mixers like scratch mixers from Numark, these are actualy ment to be used as scratchmixers. I think some of the more expencive mixers from Rane comes with non contact faders, but if you buy a mixer without that, be shure you buy one that has the opertunity to replace the originale crossfader with an innofader or another non contact fader.

Technics are known for their long lasting turntables and are also the most commen ones, so it's easy to find some one who can fix them if they get broke.

I would recomand you buy a Vestax or Rane scratch mixer, because compared

As turntables I would recomend technics for enyone, it dosn't matter if you are a beginner or a pro. If you by MK2 or MK 5 is up to you, there isn't that much difference. You can buy technics used for half the price as new ones, and that will rarely be any problems with them. These has a direct driven plater compared too belt driven turntables which has a rubber band who make the plater spin around and are a lot more unstable and less responsetive than direct driven turntables.
