  • Sounds of the Seventies - the best decade for pop music

  • Great song and a really marvellous picture montage. Plenty to love here but Diana Rigg at 0.59 is my highlight. Pamfino2 - thanks for this excellent upload.

  • I certainly will! I am just about to look at these clips from Les Bicyclettes, I do not think I have ever seen this film although I do rememember the song of the same name by Engelbert Humperdinck, Judy Huxtable was certainly a stunner as are all the other ladies in this clip, I sometimes wonder why women of today do not look as beautiful as these? Thanks for the info.

  • mei1nda12ax7 I cannot be absolutely sure but I think that the woman at 1:51 is the actress Britt Eckland.

  • @longboarder771 The beautiful lady at 1:51 is the stunning model/actress Judy Huxtable. The picture is a still I took from the lovely short film she starred in, 'Les Bicyctettes De Belsize', in 1969. She was one of the most beautiful women of the 60s; she was married to Peter Cook from 1974 to 1989. There are a number of clips of 'Les Bicyclettes De Belsize' here on YouTube. This is the final sequence from the film that I took the still from. Enjoy!

  • Terry Remember Pontins South Devon 1969? TOPPER

  • I got to know Dudley briefly as a solo around the pubs in york.

    R.I.P.

  • Had no idea there were so many versions of this song. Candlewick Green does a great job with it, as does Jigsaw. I grew up watching Bo Donaldson and the Heywoods live because they played weekly at Busch Gardens years ago. I got to meet and hang out with them for months, back in the day. aaaah memories . I loved Mike Gibbons voice and would like to find out about them now? any suggestions?

  • Love this catchy pop song --still think its better than the version by Jigsaw. Candlewick Green were a very good pop comedy band --very polished I seem to remember , happy days...

  • Pity we can't see the group singing this! They showed a clip on Never Mind the Buzzcocks for their line-up and they were quite a sight! Lovely pics of very glamorous women from a bygone era, though; a touch of class is never a bad thing!

  • TOTAL BABES in this video---excellent choices of classy dames.

  • @rabsmiff

They are gorgeous. Who is the woman at @1:36? She's the only one I don't recognize.

  • @PinkSwan114 I love the woman @ 1:51!! She is HOT!!!!

  • @PinkSwan114 That's Clara Bow.

  • @PinkSwan114 - The woman at 1:36 is Louise Brooks a silent movie star from the 1930's - Check out Pandora's Box by OMD it's all about her

  • @colthegooner1 Louise Brooks IS on here at :52, but the silent movie star at 1:36 is Clara Bow.

  • Respond to this video... I love this song and have been trying to get it for years

  • One of my favourite pop songs ever A classic pop song

  • This group became one of the best comedy showgroups of the 70s/80s a truly superb act - Thanks for the posting! xx
