Absolutely love your accent and your demeanour :) Your gentle and calm manner is refreshing to see in these natural hair videos! Thanks for being so wonderfully you.
I really hate my 4c hair. It never laid down like yours. the only style that looked right was the puffs and the two strand twists. I was really hoping for a looser curl pattern for my hair. Your curl pattern is really nice
@temickab as your hair grows longer it will hang down more due to the weight of it. You just have to get through the in between stage. Don't hate your hair. You can do lots with it.
I have really coily roots. When i seperate my hair I can see curls. I've never seen my real grown out before but my mom always told me it was "rough and dry" so I'm assuming im 4C hair???
Did u ever figure out y ur roots were bushy but ur ends curl? I hav dat same issue n need help resolving dis problem!! If anyone hav any suggestions, please inform me.
I am 4c and i just big chopped and I am having the worse problem with sheen, shine, and moisture. Can you or anyone suggest to me what I might do. Im trying to stay encouraged here.
@venita01 me too! try jojoba, naturallynubian mentioned this oil in the vid) olive oil, coconut to name a few; try to combine the oils will give hair more moisture.
@venita01 Try using a good conditioner/ deep conditioner after shampooing. i use Hello Hydration conditioner and Aussie Moist 3 minute mircale deep conditioner. Moisturize with a good leave in. I use an aveeno leave in mixed with a few drops of oil to moisturize. Its also important to seal your hair. I use Procclaim Natural 7 Oil with Argan oil to seal. It makes my hair soft and shiny. Im 4c too. Hope that helps.
I didn't know I was in the top comments. I also want to say to anyone who thinks that I think only Black women with Uk accents are sexy. No. Sexy women come in every color, hair texture, nationality, etc. (well to me IDK about everyone else). And I definitely think a woman who appreciates and tends to her natural beauty is sexy and beautiful
Oh my gossshhhh! Was that Incubus playing at the end? If so, I think I've found my new best friend! I don't know any Black, female, UK residents with natural hair who also like Incubus!
I'm joking about being best friends of course, but I do like your music tastes (whoever it is, it SOUNDS like Incubus) and LOVE your hair. I'm also 4c (Nigerian hair, LOL), but only have a TWA at the moment. SUBSCRIBING! :-D
Why is everyone trying to make her 4b and 4a. THE WOMAN IS 4C!! Just because they say 4c hair has no curls doesn't mean its true because we do, they are just harder to define. Her texture looks different because it is well moisturized and when it gets a little longer it starts to look looser. For goodness sake, just because her hair looks nice doesn't mean she's not 4c. People treat 4c like a dang plague.
Its nice to find a 4c hair vlogger on here. I really like your results and I intend to try them on my hair. Your texture looks just like mine and your hair did the same thing at the roots that mine does but mine does it because it feels dry when it isn't so whatever I put in it it still shrinks up and poofs up and.....yeah. Thanks for posting this though.
@margaverhart it's just a hair category that hair falls into. so most afro hair tends to be type 4, whether u are a, b, or c wll depend on how kinky your hair is. It's not a big thing to get hung up on. I find it helps knowing when purchasing products.
Ur accent was distracting me,(in a good way)I like it! And practice makes perfect-I guess u just have to keep experimenting on different techniques, that's what makes our hair so special!
@blessedone43 I think I can relate to you as I look back at the pics and see why people may think my hair is a 4a! I take that as a compliment as I must be looking after it so well it appears soft and a different hair type! lol anyway I guess everyone has different opinions....I just want soft manageable hair! I have played around with different gels and realised that aloe vera gel seems to be the only gel that actually brings out any form of curl.
@Manjulaah She's more like 4b, but she knows her hair better than we do, so I really don't want to force a hair type on her. :) Lol. But it's still gorgeous isn't it? :D
Don't mean to be rude but your hair looks like 4b hair because I have 4c hair and I get little or no curl definition. Your curl pattern looks a bit like my daughters and she has 4b hair
With the kinky curly, only use the knot today leave in underneath...at first it might look white but after it drys the white color goes away. Good Luck
I think...just a guess but the definition at the ends is due to the weight of the hair when it hangs. Reason I say is because when my hair was shorter I didn't have a defined curl pattern and now it's coily and spongy. Thanks for the video.
Have you tried the "smoothing method". I have 4c hair and what I do is grab my hair is larger sections (like 6-10 sections) apply an ample amount of gel to wet or dry hair. Dry hair clumps better. Grab the section of hair and smooth with palms 3-4 strokes and you will get more of a wave. I set that wave by pinning the hair down with a banana clip and let it dry. Once dry. Remove the clips and fluff with your favorite moisturizer. I will try to do a video soon. Great results with your technique.
what is your hair routine for the winter? do you avoid glycerine or it doesn't effect you?i have been attempting to change my staple products (glycerine) not using it during the winter, but my hair doesn''t feel the same without it. but i am afraid to use it because i don't want it to dry out. but haven't found a good exchange yet...
@shelski101 Boots Pharmacy sell glycerine and you can also try other pharmacies, your local health food stores or the bakery section at a supermarket.
good video- i tried ecostyler once as a wash and go and the resuts were less than desirable on my 4c hair... I washed it out. Yours came out nice but I find that.
Absolutely love your accent and your demeanour :) Your gentle and calm manner is refreshing to see in these natural hair videos! Thanks for being so wonderfully you.

@Lakia08 you never truly know until the ends are cut off, but maybe you just are not moisturizing enough/the right way.

@RoadyDean91 True, you make a good point. Especiallya bout the texture getting looser with length.

@RoadyDean91 4c hair is beatiful but that doesn't mean her hair is 4c. Its not wiry and thin, which are common characteristics for 4c hair.
