I bought my 2009 wrx in feb. '09 and have already racked up 12,000 miles. It is so satisfying to drive i LOVE it. I love smoking honda SI's acura tsx and TL's and even mustang gt's. The acceleration is incredible and it handles great. I recommend to everyone i know car shopping to check it out. I got mine in black and limo tinted the windows and it looks sick. only complaint i have is a slightly sloppy shifter but subaru sells an aftermarket shortthrow for about $600 plus installation.

aww dude lucky.. yeah i went to get my wrx serviced yesterday( the rear window was going down with noise and was sticking, not going smoothly) and i checked out a wrx exactly like mine but with the short throw already installed for only a grand more than i paid. don't settle for sticker.. my sticker said 26,576 and i talked the dealer down to 24,500 even.

I dont settle for sticker.. were on a program with my dads company that partnered with Subaru and we get cars at or below Dealer cost.. plus we have a clunker to trade in so were talkin deep discounts

you guys left out all of the important details! the 09 is NOT a new model... it is simply an improvement over the 08 model (which WAS all-new).... 09 has stiffer suspension, tuned exhaust, bigger turbo, better tires, and better styling (grille, wing, interior). the 5 door even has an STi wing. 265hp and 300lbs tq in this model vs. the 08s puny 225hp...

Car and Driver tested it at 0-60 in 4.7 seconds. Quarter mile at 13.5. That is awesome for what you're paying.

I heard that the WRX has shown slightly better 1/4 mile numbers than the STI!

I say, why pay 5-6g's more for the model that is pretty much identical on the outside with a few extras on the inside.

Im aware of the Brambo brakes on the STI but is there really anything else? lol

I bought a Legacy and I love it... I wanted an Impreza, but I was looking for more of a family car so I compromised. Nonetheless, Subarus are amazing cars.

@nuttkicked Sti has way better suspension parts and set up. Also the sti transmission is stronger and can handle more power. If you want more then 350hp get the sti, if not go rex.
