Seeing the Carol Burnett show's version of these classics brings a broader perspective to the original films. I saw Carol's versions first and then discovered the originals as an adult.

I got a copy of "The Heiress" starring Olivia deHavilland and Montgomery Clift earlier today. When I looked at the DVD, being the first time I've seen the picture; I remembered seeing this spoof from the Carol Burnett Show back in the 70s. It's a very funny depiction of the film. I was too busy laughing at the drama when I thought of Carol Burnett.

Close... it's a parody of the 1949 film adaptation "The Heiress" with Olivia de Havilland (which I highly recommend, it's excellent).
