  • what is the rod made out of

  • WOW!!!! It looks just like a threaded pipe from the pluming section of a hardware store with O-rings on it.....

  • Do you think you could tell the camera man to breathe a little louder?

  • What program did you use to animate the light saber

  • 2:31 lol

  • Could you make a list of all the materials needed just in case i want to make one?:)

  • HOW MUCH DOSE IT COST TELL ME

  • @lawrence7270 I believe it was around $30.

  • Good but see my but so I can get hit with

    That light saber

  • FAIL!

  • the end was funny..."that sick b#stard" :D

  • @shipsim09 we've proven his theory wrong how many times?! He's an idiot and the theory's wrong in so many ways, yet scientists continue to try to get a way for ppl to believe them even when they already no it's fake

  • My gran can fart a better effect than that

  • this video has so many innuendos it's not even funny.

  • oh yeah! i made a lightsaber man

  • 3:28 sounds very wrong

  • DarwinwasWrong wat is the materials

  • Bad light effect

    i made better

  • What is the width of the dowel rod?

  • hown did you make it glow

  • you don't have to use only o-rings. You can also use sump pump tubes for much cheaper than the o-rings.

  • @YHVlogs That is very true. Only problem is that it is very difficult to find tubing that fits snug on something that narrow.

  • @DarwinwasWrong :) Well, i'm sure if you can hunt around for some and ask around the hardware store staff then i am very sure you'll find it. Plus if you buy the wrong one, you can always just return for a new one.

  • the guy with the camera sounds like Darth Vader lol

  • that is great!

  • Was Darth Vader the camera man? There's some heavy breathing from the camera man.

  • your blade glow is too big

  • I followed your instructions basically but made my own little style. I have the handle done and everything, but it just doesn't look right without somesort of activation mechanism. Like a big red button or a slide switch. What should I use for that?

  • cool.I used pvc pipe.

  • Sweet. Looks like a Mace Windu V2 saber.

  • i hate it it by you

  • awesome. what effects did you use? ive noticed other videos use one but the blade is very shaky which makes the video look bad.

  • It was just the free program LSMaker. We were able to keep the blade steady because we put the prop blade inside so we could track it. And the guy who did had a lot of spare time to make it look pretty.

  • @DarwinwasWrong hey can u tell me wat materials u used please and thank you

  • @DarwinwasWrong

where can you get this and how do you add the effects?

  • @TheTurtlerocket Well, you can get the parts to make this lightsaber at just about any hardware store, provided you don't mind the strange looks the staff will be giving you as you carry around random parts that don't usually go together. As far as the effects, just scour the web for some free programs. It's what I did.

  • Nice work.

Can you sent me a parts list of what you used.

  • awesome, now just to find the parts

  • wow... exellent... can you tell me the names of the thinks that you use ?? im from mexico and i whant to make my prop for my cosplay.. but i need the names and then traslate those to spanish.. jeje... please help me ^^

  • cool:-)

  • thats a nice design :)

  • nice(:

  • u dont need to light, its a prop lightsaber, u add the light in a vid editor

  • you forgot the light

  • What light?

  • I was wondering about that myself.

  • If you mean the actual laser blade, that is done with a special effects program, not in real life.

  • its for an effect blade you dont need light

  • I recomend painting the blade in red and white alternating stripes to help tracking for rotoscoping.

  • Actually, what I do now is take some red duct tape, lay it across the blade and seal it. Then I take some silver conduit tape and stripe it. Works beautifully.

  • how long was the lightsaber hilt?

  • LOL AT THE END

  • your awsome and nive effect

  • cool how much did the blade cos and did u buy it?

  • can you message me a list of all the items that i would nees except for the blade.

  • What did you recomend to use for an actual fighting blade again? It was difficult to understand.

  • Sorry about that. I recommend that you use carbon fiber tubes for blades. They are virtually indestructible (if you shell out the cash for 'em. They run 30 bucks a pop for a good quality.) and are easy to fit into a handle.

  • how many times he says "umm"!!!! it´s annoying...

  • When you ad-lib, which I did through the whole thing, most people tend to say that when they speak. Listen to yourself talk, I'm sure you will hear it from your own voice quite often.

  • i really like this vid. i want to make one but mine sucks

  • cool. iz that really how u make em? its that easy?

  • nice! btw, where can i find cheap o rings?

  • I get mine from Lowes for around a $1.50, though I will warn you, they usually don't come in ten due to the fact people like to steal them.

  • Iflank is better

  • I know he is and I also wasn't showing my best lightsaber. I decided to make this one because it's the only one I have that can come apart. Trust me, I have a lot better ones than this one, most of them having inspiration from iflank.

  • great video

    good job
