If Plame was covert then someone should be in jail. Fitzgerald found out early on in his investigation that Plame was not covert at the time of the leak. He persued anyway and Nifonged Libby for lying. But no underlying crime was commited there fore Bush pardoned Libby. CASE CLOSED Plame and Wison suit thrown out.

mics - i should also point out that the inspectors felt that saddam was finally cooperating. the bush threats did a good job of making him open up, bush should have quit while he was ahead. the inspectors also felt pretty sure that there were no nukes and said that they could be sure if given a few more months. a few months would not have made much difference and would have saved us lives and treasure.

As far as weapons inspections Saddam only let inspectors look in certain areas. Saddam broke almost every resolution he signed. He continued to shoot at our planes. Clinton did nothing except bomb some aspirin factory with a cruise missle. Bush went to the UN to no avail. War was voted on by both parties. CASE CLOSED.

mics - but i do know allot about the iraq war, and there you are mistaken. yes saddam was untrustworthy and evil but that is not enough to justify war. if it was, wed be at war with half the globe. now, about the inspectors. yes he did dick around for most of the 90's, but as zero hour approached, he bagan to cooperate. the un inspectors, hans blix, and Mohamed ElBaradei said that he had not reconstituted his nukes.

MICS - the documents from SISMI were a poor forgery and were not trusted by CIA. bush was told this several times but in the end he used the intel in his state of the union anyway. the aluminum tubes were also debunked by the dept of energy before the war and by the UN inspectors after the war. The State Dpt Intel GROUP INR also felt the evidence was shaky.
