  • Do you guys design and develop VR modules for psychology (treatment of phobias?)

  • You should see the scenario document I shared with Microsoft two years ago. Looks strikingly like the Natal YouTube mockups all over the place... Can send you a copy if you like.

  • would like that, thank you

  • NATAL

  • How expensive is this technology?

  • Many applications. Short answer, the base technology is extremely cheap. For the handicapped, for example it puts a totally customizable interface that can be adapted to severe and unique disabilities, in reach.

  • That is actually a pretty awesome example, and I look forward to yours or similar gizmos gaining popularity. An ambiguous interface definitely deserves some recognition.

The reason for the question however was because I'm experimenting with an interface for entertainment purposes. It needs to be cheap if it is going to be bought by the mass market. This technology could be useful considering how reliable it seems to be, but it needs to be cheap relative to a console.

  • Guess what? VR Gaming is one of the coolest apps for this technology (there are a number of market segments). Write directly, and I can send you a Scenario document of what a "VCAML-enabled" game would look like. Prepare to be amazed. Seeking licensees for the technology in a variety of fields.

  • can you sned me a doc of a VCAML-enabled game please?

  • You bet, just give me an email (not seeing how to attach a file to a youtube email). Feel free to write to this channel if you want to keep your addy private. AND PREPARE TO BE AMAZED.

  • all the best with the project xjoey_sydney_girlx

  • Has anyone heard of the late russian inventor Léon Theremin? He created the THEREMIN. A musical instrument utilizing & exploiting similar concepts around 1920.Please upload another vid , get someone to assist you with the videocamera & try & be more professional with your presentation, otherwise your vid & claims can easily be misinterpreted as false & dismissed. The world is yours........ virtually... GOOD LUCK

  • Thanks for the constructive criticism...I agree the video needs to be more flashy, but on the other hand at least the info is getting out. Maybe you are volunteering to help?

  • (Part I) Regarding the Theremin, there is no way it could use similar concepts or work in a similar way, because a computer is required... Would suggest re-watching the video, because the concepts have many diverse and profound applications, many more than merely music.

  • (Part II) With the Theremin, could you define a composite-shaped set of musical instruments that exist in 3D space around you, and play any sort of music you desire? For example, a cylinder that provides a "gradient" of sound from one end to the other, hanging in space in front of you? Or a box with each of the six sides creating different sounds? Or keys scattered around you in space, with each triggering a different effect, or even providing a control console?

  • so instead of pushing buttons on the keyboard you are activating a seonsor which in turn pushes a button on the keybaord vurtually? Scientists have already placed sensors on a paralyzed monkeys brains which allows the moneky to move a robotic arm to grab a banana for instance. similarly one could place this technology and the word you thing could be displayed on your word document, your eyes could be the cursor. get up to date with techinolog mate...!!

  • You are moving your body through empty space and the motions are mapped to a V.R. coordinate system and vice-versa. Both Virtual Controls and the more intriguing Virtual Ghosts are possible. Imagine having a virtual sparring partner that can move around you, knows how you are moving, and can score points on you and you on it! WOW. You would be able to "see" your partner using video goggles.

  • Nice... you can't show flashy shit, thus you have 164. You made that yourself? You've got talent. It's hard to imagine how fast you could type and such with that kind of technology. develop more for us, find a friend to hold your cam and set up a presentation. Good luck changing the world!

  • Thanks! The projections are that two-handed typing would be at a rate comparable to two thumbs on a Blackberry...but a lot more people could use this interface comfortably (rather than the tediously small keys), even disabled people. Plus, the keyboard can be totally customized as to what keys are where, in THREE dimensions rather than two.
