@militia765 Yeah i agree even seeing these thing searching the caves for insurgents, sparing lives of our military land mine safety ect... cant wait so see this.....soon very soon :)
you should really think about making a full scale model and inviting NASA to watch it do terrain detail. with the full scale model you could add more instruments for testing soil samples and such. you could become filthy rich!
This is nice video. But I always wonder why do most hexapod robots out there are so slow. Is it the servos or is it a delay with control processing? I noticed that the ones with "smooth movement" are generally much slower performing those moves that the hexapods that don't have such precise and smooth movement. Can some one please explain why is it like that?
PIC are all preset instructions IC's on how you blow the chip so its all down to logarithm and no artificial intelligence yet i am still impressed in the programing and engineering of this
Wish you wouldn't have put that sound track in. Now you can't tell how much noise it creates

wow I can imagine these things going into a canyon to save people on a bigger scale.

NIce! I like the way it move's so natural.

truly the absolutely coolest hexapod on the market today.

yeah this looks so damn natural when moving, wish you would do a video of it walking a flat surface just to show it.

Great moves life bringer ! :) Progress in that direction would certanly bring robotic superiority toward us, let them not have AI hehe

Yours p.Brain have some kind of Artificial Inteligence or all is only direct/reverse kinematics algorithm based on last position?

You could say the same about most AI algorithms though, surely?

@winchymatt
Matt, what kind of calculation do you use for the terrain adap?
Is it still IK or already Inverse Dynamics? Thanks
