People use metaphors in their speech, and this is why you don't understand the prophecies of the Holy Prophet (saw) as well. The Holy Prophet (saw) made use of metaphors with respect to things he said, and his words were full of meaning, yet you fail to understand them and HENCE that is why you're in the mess you're in today which is that U can never identify the real Messiah because you think a 2000-year old man has to descend from heaven.

Scholars? Governments are made of scholars? Do you know what 'Amr' means? It means RULER, AUTHORITY, not an IMAM which refers to RELIGIOUS LEADER. Verse 4:60 of the Holy Quran uses 'amr' not 'imam'. Please read the Arabic, and look up the meaning in a dictionary - in fact look at every Arabic-English dictionary you can to get it straight. imam is leader, and Amr is ruler. There is a BIG DIFFERENCE. The British had a government in place 4 over 200 years, how is that not authority?

He was not serving two masters, if any matter with the ruler is ruled against the Holy Quran, then you refer it to the teachings of Islam and follow the teachings of Islam (commandments of Allah) over the ruler's commands. Hadith is not fully quoted. If u want to state it, u have to state the whole thing. I have heard of the arguments on "there is no prophet after me". But u aren't fully quoting the Hadith. Many Ahadith with different narrations end like this. there is one which speaks about a brick building of which he is the last brick, another where he speaks about his expedition and Ali being left behind, and another where he mentions his mosque as being the last mosque.
Many verses of the Holy Quran allude to the special wisdom bestowed on the Prophet Muhammad(SAW) to understand and explain the revelations included in the Holy Quran. For example, in verse 4 of chapter 14 of the Quran, we read:
And We never sent a messenger save with the language of his folk, that he [Hazrat Muhammad(SAW)] might make (the message) clear for them. Then Allah sendeth whom He will astray, and guideth whom He will. He is the Mighty, the Wise.
The following teachings of Prophet Muhammad(SAW) deal with the issue of Finality of Prophethood. As apparent from the references, these Ahadith are authentic and have been recorded by many scholars and reported by numerous companions of the Prophet(SAW).
My position in relation to the prophets who came before me can be explained by the following example: A man erected a building and adorned this edifice with great beauty, but he left an empty niche, in the corner where just one brick was missing. People looked around the building and marveled at its beauty, -
I am Muhammad, I am Ahmad, I am the effacer and infidelity shall be erased through me; I am the assembler. People shall be assembled on Doomsday after my time. And I am the last in the sense that no prophet shall succeed me.
The tribe of Israel was guided by prophets. When a prophet passed away, another prophet succeeded him. But no prophet will come after me; only caliphs will succeed me.
(Bukhari)
I am the last in line of the prophets of God and my Masjid is the last Masjid.
There will arise thirty impostors in my Ummah and each one of them will pronounce to the world that he is a prophet, but I am the last in the line of the Prophets of God and no Prophet will come after me.

No Prophet will come after me and there will, therefore, be no other community of followers of any new Prophet.
God Almighty hath sent unto the world no apostle who did not warn his people about the appearance of Dajjal (Anti-Christ, but Dajjal did not appear in their time). I am the last in the line of Prophets and you are the last community of believers. Without doubt, then, Dajjal shall appear from amongst you.
I am Muhammad, the unlettered prophet of Allah. I am Muhammad, the unlettered prophet of Allah. I am Muhammad, the unlettered prophet of Allah. There will be no prophet after me.
These are just a brief listing of the authentic teachings of Hazrat Muhammad(SAW) available on the issue of the Finality of Prophethood; should a true believer have any doubt about the Finality of Prophethood?
It is not fitting for a Believer, man or woman, when a matter has been decided by Allah and His Messenger to have any option about their decision: if any one disobeys Allah and His Messenger, he is indeed on a clearly wrong Path.
Hazrat Muhammad(SAW) saw it fit to mention this very important fact in his historic sermon, which was witnessed by over 120,000 individuals. Through it, he again warned the entire mankind to stay away from destructive man-made cults, in the following words:
O People, no prophet or apostle will come after me, and no new faith will be born. Reason well, therefore, O People, and understand my words which I convey to you...
In this Hadith the Holy Prophet (saw) warned about the biggest Dajjal, the one that was warned about since Noah (as), not the smaller ones from within the Muslim Ummah
Narrated Abu Hurayrah: Allah's Apostle said: "The Hour will not be established until two big groups fight each other whereupon there will be a great number of casualties on both sides and they will be following one and the same religious doctrine, until about 30 dajjals appear, and each of them will claim that he is Allah's Apostle..." (Related by Bukhari and Muslim)
The last of these Dajjals would be the False Messiah: Once the Prophet of Allah said, while delivering a ceremonial speech at an occasion of a solar eclipse, as Samura son of Jundub reported: "...Verily by God, the Last Hour will not come until 30 liars of prophecy will appear and the final one will be the One-eyed False Messiah." (Narrated by Imam Ahmad as a sound Hadeeth).
In another authentic hadeeth, the Prophet of Allah informed that of 27 dajjals, 4 of them would be women: Huthaifa narrated, that the Prophet said: "In my Ummah (community/nation), there are 27 dajjals of liars, including 4 women (who will proclaim themselves Prophets). I am the last Prophet and none will come after me." (Related by Imam Ahmad and Al-Tabrani as a sound hadeeth)
Therefore, there would be 27-30 Dajjals who would appear, 4 of which would be women and the last of which would be the False Messiah, who the true Messiah, Prophet 'Eessa ("Jesus") would kill. The Prophet of Allah (Prophet Muhammad) already closed the loophole of building a series of Prophets and confirmed the impossibility of any newcomer as a Prophet after him. The dajjals he mentioned that have already appeared are discussed below. As I find more of them, I shall list them.
1. Musailama al-Kazzab: Among the first false claimants to Prophecy was Musailama al-Kazzab, who appeared during the time of Prophet Muhammad (upon whom be blessings and peace) and his Companions and caused numerous troubles among Muslims and had many followers. He eventually surrendered along with his supporters in Al-Yamam battle, led by the first Caliph Abu Bakr, and was killed.
2.Sajah al-Kahenah: Along with Musailama in falsely claiming Prophethood, was his wife, Sajah al-Kahenah, although she later reversed her position after her husband, Musailama, had been killed.
3. Tulayha son of Khwailid: Tulayha was another of the false Prophets who appeared during the time of the Prophet and his companions, but later repented and returned to the fold of Islam.
4. Saf son of Sayyad: Another False claimant to Prophethood that appeared during the time of the Prophet and his companions, was Saf son of Sayyad. He claimed he was a Prophet when he was on the threshold of adolescence, and was initially believed to be the False Messiah, as his characteristics were the same as those of the False Messiah. He later repented and embraced Islam.
5. Aswad al-Ansi: Also during the time of the Prophet and his companions was another false Prophet, named Aswad al-Ansi. He was based in Yemen and was killed by the Companions of the Prophet.
6. Al-Mukhtar Al-Thaqafi: A Shiite rebel, al-Mukhtar son of Abi Ubayd is also accused of being a False Prophet. He claimed to be a representative of the Mahdi. Millennialist connotations surfaced after Mukhtar's rebellion, following his announcement to the people of Kufa that he was a representative of the Mahdi.
7. Mahmud son of al-Faraj: In Samara, a false Prophet by the name of Mahmud son of al-Faraj appeared in 849-850 CE with a claim that a Quran was revealed to him through the angel Gabriel. He is reported to have some followers in Samara and Baghdad. He was executed on the orders of caliph, al-Mutawakkil.
8. "Bab": Another liar/false claimant to prophecy, and the predecessor of Bahaullah, was Mizra Ali Muhammad, who initially declared himself the "Bab" (Gate) to the Shi'ite's Mahdi, and eventually progressed into other claims. He was embraced by the Shaykhis sect of Shi'a Islam, who were then renamed "Babis". Subsequently, he declared himself to be the Shi'ite's hidden Mahdi. -
- After declaring himself the Mahdi, he moved on to call himself Nuqtiyiula and declared that the Quran and Muslim Shari'a were now abrogated. Shi'a and Sunni scholars condemned him and Bab faced a series of imprisonment, trials, and indignities before being shot dead by a firing squad in 1850.
9. "Bahaullah": The self-proclaimed successor to the Bab, and another liar/false claimant to prophecy was Mizra Hussein Ali Nuri. In 1863 Hussein Ali, a prominent member of the Babi group, declared himself to be the person whom God will make manifest, whom the Bab had foretold. -
- He also took the name Bahaullah (Glory of God) and formed a new religion, the Bahai faith. Bahaullah was banished from Persia and was eventually imprisoned in Akka-Palestine. There he wrote his main work, his Kitab-ul-Aqdas (Most Holy Book), and developed the doctrine of the Bahai faith into a comprehensive teaching.
10.Elijah Muhammad: Elijah Muhammad, succeeding Wallace Dodd Ford, was another in the line of False Prophets. He founded the convoluted belief system based on ideas extracted from everything from Christanity to Masonry to Islam in Detroit, Michigan in the 1930s. He referred to it as the "Nation of Islam".
11. Kareem Agha Khan: In the early 1970s, another false-claimant to prophecy appeared within the Ismaili sect of Shi'ism, who proclaims himself to be a manifestation of God on Earth and a spokesman for Allah.
12. Al Mizra Abbas: Another liar, Al-Mizra Abbas, in 1233 AH/1818 CE, appeared in Tehran, Iran and died in Palestine.
13. .Rashid Khalifa: Then we have another False Prophet, Rashid Khalifa, who came from Egypt, and claimed there to be an intricate numerical pattern to the Qur'an revolving around the number 19 in 1974. Because of this, he claimed to be a Messenger of God,-
- alongside Prophets Ibraheem (Abraham) and Muhammad, and founded the group called "United Submitters International", rejecting the hadeeths of the Prophet, and denounced ayats 9:128-129 of the Qur'an. For many years he was the Imam at the Tuscon Mosque in Arizona, where he was later stabbed to death in 1990.
14. Shabbatai Zevi: Shabbatai Zevi was one of the False Prophets who appeared during a desperate period of Ashkenazi Jewish history in the 16th and 17th centuries, promising to lead his compatriots out of tzuresdike golus (painful exile) to dwell with the Lord in Eretz Yisroel (the land of Israel). It neither turned out as prophesised, nor did the high hopes of the Jewish colonies in Brazil.
15. Saleh son of Tarif Burghwati: Saleh claimed prophethood and Mahdihood in 125 AH. After ruling over his people for 47 years, in 174 AH he abdicated the throne in favour of his son.
16. Abu Mansoor 'Eessa: Abu Mansoor 'Eessa claimed prophethood and Mahdihood in 341 AH and ruled over his people for 28 years.
17. Al-Harith son of Sa'id: Al-Harith son of Said claimed prophethood during the reign of the Umayyad caliph, Abd al-Malik son of Marwan. A number of royal soldiers were suspected of supporting him. He was executed in 698-699 CE.
18.Mizra Ghulam Ahmad: Mizra Ghulam Ahmad of Qadian is a British-engineered false Prophet who appeared in India to quell resistance against the British colonialists. He claimed to be the Messiah as the similitude of Prophet 'Eessa, the Mahdi, a Prophet, a Messenger, and the second advent -
- of Prophet Muhammad simultaneously. He invited his fiercest oppenent, Molvi Sanaullah Amratsari, to a prayer duel. He advertised his supplication to Allah pleading Him to annihilate the liar amongst the two in the lifetime of the truthful one, by Cholera or by Plague. He considered them to be the sign of Divine Anger and Punishment. Mirza subsequently died of cholera a year later.
19. Muhammad son of Sa'id: Muhammad son of Said is considered as one of the four infamous forgers of hadith. He distorted the hadith: "I am the seal of prophets and there is no prophet after me" by adding: "unless Allah wills {otherwise}". He is reported to have drawn his own conclusions from this addition and claimed prophethood for himself. He was executed on the orders of Abbasid caliph, Abu Jafar al-Mansoor.
20. Mahmood Muhammad Taha: Mahmood Muhammad Taha was also a false claimant to prophecy who was based in Sudan, and he tried with maximum endeavor to mislead normal people from their Islamic way of life until he was beheaded in 1985.
21. Jasmin?: A more recent individual who has appeared, and could potentially be a False Claimant to Prophecy is Jasmin. He appeared in 1998 in Bosnia, claiming the War of Bosnia and Herzegovina was the Battle of Armageddon, and claims that he is the Messiah, tasked by God to introduce the human community into the "golden age", and claims that his destiny has been described under the symbol and notion of a lamb.
22. Dr. Dwight York: Another fairly recent false claimant to prophecy was Dr. York. In the late 1960s York, started calling himself "Amunnnubi Rooakhptah," and founded various quasi-Muslim black-nationalist movements (among these was the Ansaarullah Community) based on something called the "Science of Nuwaubu". In the 1990s, he changed his community from worshipping Allah to worshipping pagan idols. -
- Soon thereafter, he claimed to receive divine revelation, forming his own cult of Nuwaubians, following, what they call, "The Holy Tablets", with beliefs, based on pantheism, with an anthropomorphic view of Allah. In 2002, he was arrested and charged with child molestation. In 2004, he was convicted, and sentenced to 135 years in prison.
23. Riyaz Ahmad Gohar Shahi: Another claimant to Mahdihood and prophecy, is Gohar Shahi. He was born in 1941 in the Indian sub-continent. He had a traditional Sufi upbringing, and at age 34 he went on a 3 year spiritual retreat (which he says to have been under the guidance of a "divine spirit") into the mountains of Sehwan Sharif. -
- Afterwards, he returned (claiming it to have been commanded by God), and started to preach his message of "Remembrance and Love of God", disregarding religion and its practices, also claiming that his image is implanted on the moon, gaining a significant number of followers. The Ulema have since issued various fatwas against him.
Maulvi Sanaullah refrained himself from entering the prayer duel and the mubahilah was not officially accepted by him, however much MGAQ tried to persuade him to do so. Sanaullah died much later since he "wanted to be given respite by God" as all evildoers are given. Even Musailima Kazzab lived after the Holy Prophet (saw). The liar lives on and the truthful ones died earlier, but with no loss.
Mirza Ghulam Qadiani versus Allama Sanahullah of Amristar
(All references are from Qadiani books)
Allama Sanahullah of Amristar, a well-known debater and defender of Islam, pursued Mirza Ghulam over the years and exposed his falsehood and inconsistencies in public debates. The pretender's repeated humiliation provoked him once more to resort to his old tricks of trying to intimidate his opponent. On April 15, 1907, Mirza Ghulam proclaimed:-
- "To Ustad Sanahullah - Salam on whosoever follows the guidance. For a considerable period, I have been called a liar and a profligate in your magazine 'Ahl-e-Hadith'. In this magazine, you always call me 'This accursed liar, anti-Christ, corrupter'. It publicizes to the whole world that I am an innovator, a liar, an anti-Christ; that I have forged a lie as far as my claim of Messiahship is concerned'. -
- I have suffered considerable pain at your hands, but I remained patient. But when I realized that I have been commissioned for dissemination of the truth and you prevent people from paying attention to me on account of your calumnies against me. So, I pray that if I am a liar and an innovator, as you refer to me in your magazine, then I shall die during your life-time, because I know that the life-span of a liar and a corrupter is not long. -
- Instead, he lies frustrated during the life-time of his staunch enemies, in shame and degradation. In his death lies the welfare of God's creatures, as he can not mislead them after his death. But if I am not a liar and an innovator, but I am honored by Allah's address and dialogue, and I am the promised Messiah, -
- then I pray that you shall not escape the end of liars according to God's practice. So I announce that if you do not die during my life by God's punishment which can not but be from God alone - for example that you die of plague or Cholera - then I am not an Apostle of God Almighty.
This I do not utter as a prediction, but I have asked for the final verdict from God, the Holy, the Almighty. I pray to God - O my Lord, the observer, the powerful, the knower, the Omniscient; O knower of the secrets of hearts. If I am a liar and am corrupt in your view and I forge lies against you, night and day,-
- O Allah, the perish me in the life-time of Ustad Sanahullah, and make him and his party happy by my death, Amen. And O Allah, if I am truthful and Sanahullah is false and a liar in his accusations that he levels at me, then O Lord of the universe, perish him in my life-time with fatal diseases like plague or Cholera or some other disease, Amen.
O Lord! I have been tortured and I tolerated it all. But, now I perceive he has crossed the limit and he believes I am more profligate than thieves and ravishers who cause harm to the world. He considers me to be the meanest of God's creatures -
- He has defamed me in far-flung areas of the country and believes that I am in fact an evil person, a marauder, greedy, liar, innovator and abominable person. Had there been no echo of these utterings, I would have tolerated them. But I realize that Sanahullah's accusations have an ulterior motive. He desired to bury my mission and dismantle my edifice which you have built.
O my Lord and O you who have sent me. For this reason, I beseech you, O Allah, seeking refuge in your mercy and compassion. Decide the truth between me and Sanahullah and destroy the liar and the evil in the life-time of the truthful or afflict him with a death-like calamity. Kindly do this, O my dear Lord, Amen. Our Lord, expose the truth between us and our nation and you are the best of the victors.
In the end, I expect from Ustad Sanahullah that he should publish this text in his magazine and write whatever note he likes on it. The verdict is now in the hand of Allah. The writer, Allah's servant, Ghulam Ahmad, the Promised Messiah, may God protect him and help him." (Badr, April 15, 1907)
As was his habit,Mirza Ghulam also authorized the production of a poster with the same content.This poster was later included in Tablegh-i-Risalat, Vol. 10, P. 120. Just ten days after this prayer to Allah(SWT), Mirza Ghulam made the following statement:
- "All that has been said about Sanahullah is not from ourselves but is from God, as it was revealed to me on the night of the prayer that 'I respond to the call of the caller'. The meaning of this revelation is that my call has been accepted." (Badr, April 25, 1907)
Allah(SWT) did indeed hear this prayer of Mirza Ghulam. On May 26, 1908 Mirza Ghulam died of the same disease he had named - Cholera. [Read: The Death of Mirza Ghulam Qadiani] Allama Sanahullah remained alive for nearly forty more years and went on condemning Ahmadiyya during all that time. Allah(SWT) once more used Mirza Ghulam's own statement to prove him an impostor.
After all this, is there any unfortunate person who insists on viewing Mirza Ghulam as a religious leader?
That sir is your mistake...The fact that Ahmadiyyat lives on and increases day by day is the proof of its truth.
You are welcome to continue your Ahmadiyyat- hate- parade. We have dealt with such opposition, and inshAllah will continue to do so.
Leave us to our faith. If you are Muslim, then do the duty of a Muslim, and spread the beauty and truth of Islam to those who have not yet seen its light. Discard your hatred and seek the path to Allah. That will be time better spent.
Yes, but if a prophet is false, why has Ahmadiyyat kept flourishing? no one understands that this is a sign as well, that the Promised Messiah (as) lived between 75 and 85 years of age, that he had been a prophet for over 23 years, that the khilafat continues in Ahmadiyyat and that Ahmadiyyat keeps spreading in the world. What more do u need to see that we aren't false? We haven't changed an iota of what should be followed in Islam. that is the sign if our truthfulness.
If his masjid is the last masjid, then are no more masjids to be built? Similarly, there will still be another prophet, the Isa (as) who is to come.
The Israelite prophets who succeeded Musa (as) were ones who passed judgments as well, but they succeeded soon after Musa (as). he was saying that caliphs would succeed immediately after him, but no prophets would come after his death. No prophets would come in the same manner as the Israelite prophets, except that Isa (as) would come.
Look whose twisting now. Masjid here means faith? Even if it does, then it only means then that the Holy Prophet (saw) is the last law-bearing prophet. That doesn't strengthen ur position, but that strengthens mine. Either way, there is no new faith, but there is faith that gets revived to its original state.
Last ummah means Muslims, the Promised Messiah (as) was and Ummati prophet, meaning a prophet of the Ummah of Muslims, no one else.
Communion with Allah is NOT finished since Muslims can have visions "ra'ai" like the ones mentioned in Surah An-Najm, like it says in the book of interpretation of dreams in Sahih Bukhari. Please refer to the Arabic in the text on the remaining characteristics of prophethood. Also, we can receive glad tidings, not just dreams, dreams is but one interpretation
Hoping to misguide individuals, who lack knowledge of linguistics and Arabic language, some unlearned opportunists have attempted to misinterprete the verse 33:40 of Al-Ahzab, which was mentioned earlier, since it is the best known verse in support of the doctrine of the Finality of Prophethood.-
- Such individuals often claim the word khatam, in the context of the verse, to mean "stamp", "seal", "best", "decoration" or "ring"! They also claim that the word Nabiyyeen indicates the "law giving prophets".
The actual dictionary translations of the words khatam nabuwat, in this context, are as follows:
Khatam: Can be read in two ways: khatam, meaning last or seal; and khatim meaning seal or terminator.
The authorative dictionary of Lisanul-Arab indicates that both 'khatam' and 'khatim' mean "last of them" and the Qamoos dictionary says that it indicates the "last person", like a seal.
Nabuwat: Messengership; Prophethood of any kind, since all Messengers (rasuls or law giving prophets) are also Prophets.
In the word of Allah(SWT), the Quran was revealed in detail in the arabic language so Arabs would understand it without a problem. True to God's promise, no arabic speaking person will have a doubt of what is meant by Khatme-Nabuwat.
Isn't it particularly amusing to find self-proclaimed "prophets", who according to historical records did not even have a working knowledge of the Arabic language, tried to reinterprete this verse?
12:2, 13:37, 16:103, 20:113, 26:195, 39:028, 41:003, 42:7, 43:3, and 46:12 also illuminate the point that proper knowledge of arabic language is required to avoid mistranslating/misinterpreting the Holy Quran.
The sheer amount of evidence provided here should suffice to convince anyone believing in the divinity of Islam that the prophet Muhammad(SAW) was the last Prophet of God and that anyone with a claim to prophethood should be considered an outcast from Islam. No one can better state this fact, than Allah(SWT) himself:
Bear witness that we are Muslims and we have conveyed the true message of Allah so that you might benefit from it.
Therefore give admonition in case the admonition profits (the hearer). The admonition will be received by those who fear (Allah): But it will be avoided by those most unfortunate ones. Who will enter the Great Fire In which they will then neither die nor live.

It's NOT just about reading Qur'an with translation, It's about reading Qur'an without any twists, turns, mistranslations and so forth.

Scholars? Governments are made of scholars? Do you know what 'Amr' means? It means RULER, AUTHORITY, not an IMAM which refers to RELIGIOUS LEADER. Verse 4:60 of the Holy Quran uses 'amr' not 'imam'. Please read the Arabic, and look up the meaning in a dictionary - in fact look at every Arabic-English dictionary you can to get it straight. imam is leader, and Amr is ruler. There is a BIG DIFFERENCE. The British had a government in place 4 over 200 years, how is that not authority?

We believe he is khatam-an-Nabiyyeen, unlike u who thinks that Isa of the Jews will come to kills the Jews (talk about contradictory belief). We haven't disregarded ANY ayats of the Holy Quran, nor any of the tenets of Islam, we only said that the Isa (as) to come is not the same Isa (as) as the one for the Jews, and that this future Isa (as) is an Ummati Nabi, not a new Nabi.

He was not serving two masters, if any matter with the ruler is ruled against the Holy Quran, then you refer it to the teachings of Islam and follow the teachings of Islam (commandments of Allah) over the ruler's commands. Disobey the ruler if they tell u to disobey Allah. It is as simple as that, and yet U WANT ANARCHY. But I am not an archist, and neither are the majority of Muslims in this world. Hadith is not fully quoted. If u want to state it, u have to state the whole thing. I have heard of the arguments on "there is no prophet after me". But u aren't fully quoting the Hadith. Many Ahadith with different narrations end like this. there is one which speaks about a brick building of which he is the last brick, another where he speaks about his expedition and Ali being left behind, and another where he mentions his mosque as being the last mosque.

The last of these Dajjals would be the False Messiah: Once the Prophet of Allah said, while delivering a ceremonial speech at an occasion of a solar eclipse, as Samura son of Jundub reported: "...Verily by God, the Last Hour will not come until 30 liars of prophecy will appear and the final one will be the One-eyed False Messiah." In another authentic hadeeth, the Prophet of Allah informed that of 27 dajjals, 4 of them would be women: Huthaifa narrated, that the Prophet said: "In my Ummah (community/nation), there are 27 dajjals of liars, including 4 women (who will proclaim themselves Prophets). I am the last Prophet and none will come after me." (Related by Imam Ahmad and Al-Tabrani as a sound hadeeth)

Therefore, there would be 27-30 Dajjals who would appear, 4 of which would be women and the last of which would be the False Messiah, who the true Messiah, Prophet 'Eessa ("Jesus") would kill. The Prophet of Allah (Prophet Muhammad) already closed the loophole of building a series of Prophets and confirmed the impossibility of any newcomer as a Prophet after him. The dajjals he mentioned that have already appeared are discussed below. As I find more of them, I shall list them.

1. Musailama al-Kazzab: Among the first false claimants to Prophecy was Musailama al-Kazzab, who appeared during the time of Prophet Muhammad (upon whom be blessings and peace) and his Companions and caused numerous troubles among Muslims and had many followers. He eventually surrendered along with his supporters in Al-Yamam battle, led by the first Caliph Abu Bakr, and was killed.

2.Sajah al-Kahenah: Along with Musailama in falsely claiming Prophethood, was his wife, Sajah al-Kahenah, although she later reversed her position after her husband, Musailama, had been killed.
3. Tulayha son of Khwailid: Tulayha was another of the false Prophets who appeared during the time of the Prophet and his companions, but later repented and returned to the fold of Islam.

4. Saf son of Sayyad: Another False claimant to Prophethood that appeared during the time of the Prophet and his companions, was Saf son of Sayyad. He claimed he was a Prophet when he was on the threshold of adolescence, and was initially believed to be the False Messiah, as his characteristics were the same as those of the False Messiah. He later repented and embraced Islam.

5. Aswad al-Ansi: Also during the time of the Prophet and his companions was another false Prophet, named Aswad al-Ansi. He was based in Yemen and was killed by the Companions of the Prophet.

6. Al-Mukhtar Al-Thaqafi: A Shiite rebel, al-Mukhtar son of Abi Ubayd is also accused of being a False Prophet. He claimed to be a representative of the Mahdi. Millennialist connotations surfaced after Mukhtar's rebellion, following his announcement to the people of Kufa that he was a representative of the Mahdi.

7. Mahmud son of al-Faraj: In Samara, a false Prophet by the name of Mahmud son of al-Faraj appeared in 849-850 CE with a claim that a Quran was revealed to him through the angel Gabriel. He is reported to have some followers in Samara and Baghdad. He was executed on the orders of caliph, al-Mutawakkil.

"Bab": Another liar/false claimant to prophecy, and the predecessor of Bahaullah, was Mizra Ali Muhammad, who initially declared himself the "Bab" (Gate) to the Shi'ite's Mahdi, and eventually progressed into other claims. He was embraced by the Shaykhis sect of Shi'a Islam, who were then renamed "Babis". Subsequently, he declared himself to be the Shi'ite's hidden Mahdi. -

11. Kareem Agha Khan: In the early 1970s, another false-claimant to prophecy appeared within the Ismaili sect of Shi'ism, who proclaims himself to be a manifestation of God on Earth and a spokesman for Allah.
12. Al Mizra Abbas: Another liar, Al-Mizra Abbas, in 1233 AH/1818 CE, appeared in Tehran, Iran and died in Palestine.

Shabbatai Zevi: Shabbatai Zevi was one of the False Prophets who appeared during a desperate period of Ashkenazi Jewish history in the 16th and 17th centuries, promising to lead his compatriots out of tzuresdike golus (painful exile) to dwell with the Lord in Eretz Yisroel (the land of Israel). It neither turned out as prophesised, nor did the high hopes of the Jewish colonies in Brazil.

15. Saleh son of Tarif Burghwati: Saleh claimed prophethood and Mahdihood in 125 AH. After ruling over his people for 47 years, in 174 AH he abdicated the throne in favour of his son.
16. Abu Mansoor 'Eessa: Abu Mansoor 'Eessa claimed prophethood and Mahdihood in 341 AH and ruled over his people for 28 years.

He considered them to be the sign of Divine Anger and Punishment. Mirza subsequently died of cholera a year later.

19. Muhammad son of Sa'id: Muhammad son of Said is considered as one of the four infamous forgers of hadith. He distorted the hadith: "I am the seal of prophets and there is no prophet after me" by adding: "unless Allah wills {otherwise}". He is reported to have drawn his own conclusions from this addition and claimed prophethood for himself. He was executed on the orders of Abbasid caliph, Abu Jafar al-Mansoor.

21. Jasmin?: A more recent individual who has appeared, and could potentially be a False Claimant to Prophecy is Jasmin. He appeared in 1998 in Bosnia, claiming the War of Bosnia and Herzegovina was the Battle of Armageddon, and claims that he is the Messiah, tasked by God to introduce the human community into the "golden age", and claims that his destiny has been described under the symbol and notion of a lamb.

22. Dr. Dwight York: Another fairly recent false claimant to prophecy was Dr. York. In the late 1960s York, started calling himself "Amunnnubi Rooakhptah," and founded various quasi-Muslim black-nationalist movements (among these was the Ansaarullah Community) based on something called the "Science of Nuwaubu". In the 1990s, he changed his community from worshipping Allah to worshipping pagan idols. -

- Soon thereafter, he claimed to receive divine revelation, forming his own cult of Nuwaubians, following, what they call, "The Holy Tablets", with beliefs, based on pantheism, with an anthropomorphic view of Allah. 23. Riyaz Ahmad Gohar Shahi: Another claimant to Mahdihood and prophecy, is Gohar Shahi. He was born in 1941 in the Indian sub-continent. He had a traditional Sufi upbringing, and at age 34 he went on a 3 year spiritual retreat (which he says to have been under the guidance of a "divine spirit") into the mountains of Sehwan Sharif. -

Maulvi Sanaullah refrained himself from entering the prayer duel and the mubahilah was not officially accepted by him, however much MGAQ tried to persuade him to do so. Sanaullah died much later since he "wanted to be given respite by God" as all evildoers are given. Even Musailima Kazzab lived after the Holy Prophet (saw). The liar lives on and the truthful ones died earlier, but with no loss.

[Read: The Death of Mirza Ghulam Qadiani] Allama Sanahullah remained alive for nearly forty more years and went on condemning Ahmadiyya during all that time. Allah(SWT) once more used Mirza Ghulam's own statement to prove him an impostor.
After all this, is there any unfortunate person who insists on viewing Mirza Ghulam as a religious leader?

You are welcome to continue your Ahmadiyyat- hate- parade. We have dealt with such opposition, and inshAllah will continue to do so.
Leave us to our faith. If you are Muslim, then do the duty of a Muslim, and spread the beauty and truth of Islam to those who have not yet seen its light. Discard your hatred and seek the path to Allah. That will be time better spent.

Yes, but if a prophet is false, why has Ahmadiyyat kept flourishing? no one understands that this is a sign as well, that the Promised Messiah (as) lived between 75 and 85 years of age, that he had been a prophet for over 23 years, that the khilafat continues in Ahmadiyyat and that Ahmadiyyat keeps spreading in the world. What more do u need to see that we aren't false? We haven't changed an iota of what should be followed in Islam. that is the sign if our truthfulness.

If his masjid is the last masjid, then are no more masjids to be built? Similarly, there will still be another prophet, the Isa (as) who is to come.
The Israelite prophets who succeeded Musa (as) were ones who passed judgments as well, but they succeeded soon after Musa (as). he was saying that caliphs would succeed immediately after him, but no prophets would come after his death. No prophets would come in the same manner as the Israelite prophets, except that Isa (as) would come.

Look whose twisting now. Masjid here means faith? Even if it does, then it only means then that the Holy Prophet (saw) is the last law-bearing prophet. That doesn't strengthen ur position, but that strengthens mine. Either way, there is no new faith, but there is faith that gets revived to its original state.

Last ummah means Muslims, the Promised Messiah (as) was and Ummati prophet, meaning a prophet of the Ummah of Muslims, no one else.
Communion with Allah is NOT finished since Muslims can have visions "ra'ai" like the ones mentioned in Surah An-Najm, like it says in the book of interpretation of dreams in Sahih Bukhari. Please refer to the Arabic in the text on the remaining characteristics of prophethood. Also, we can receive glad tidings, not just dreams, dreams is but one interpretation

The actual dictionary translations of the words khatam nabuwat, in this context, are as follows:
Khatam: Can be read in two ways: khatam, meaning last or seal; and khatim meaning seal or terminator.
The authorative dictionary of Lisanul-Arab indicates that both 'khatam' and 'khatim' mean "last of them" and the Qamoos dictionary says that it indicates the "last person", like a seal.

Nabuwat: Messengership; Prophethood of any kind, since all Messengers (rasuls or law giving prophets) are also Prophets.
In the word of Allah(SWT), the Quran was revealed in detail in the arabic language so Arabs would understand it without a problem. True to God's promise, no arabic speaking person will have a doubt of what is meant by Khatme-Nabuwat.

Isn't it particularly amusing to find self-proclaimed "prophets", who according to historical records did not even have a working knowledge of the Arabic language, tried to reinterprete this verse?
12:2, 13:37, 16:103, 20:113, 26:195, 39:028, 41:003, 42:7, 43:3, and 46:12 also illuminate the point that proper knowledge of arabic language is required to avoid mistranslating/misinterpreting the Holy Quran.

The sheer amount of evidence provided here should suffice to convince anyone believing in the divinity of Islam that the prophet Muhammad(SAW) was the last Prophet of God and that anyone with a claim to prophethood should be considered an outcast from Islam. No one can better state this fact, than Allah(SWT) himself:
