When i start up cod4 The logo comes up then the screen goes black like it is about to work but then it goes to the desktop all magnified. (I play in a lower resolution) Single player works just fine. IT is just multiplayer.

Ive tried re-installing it 3 or 4 times.

I also tried to plug up the microphone and it didnt work.

Please help me!

dude vista is 4 times better than xp, your computer is prolly out of date or dont have the requerments, belive me i the worst time i got so mad i threw my old computer out the window. xp holds your hand to much, even with xp it still says iw3mp.exe has stoped working, dont blame vista blame faulty software

It used to say RealTek high-definition audio but I tried the uninstall the drivers method and now it just says high-definition audio device. I think that's the reason why stereo mix won't appear, any way to remedy this

did your computer happen to crash any time before, if it did you have to reinstall everything, if that dont work try to hard wire it or go to the place you bought your computer and ask them they could give the best straight up answer i can go on and on and on about what the problem could be but ill give you the main ones, all right try pluging in a mic, or update your sound or graphics card,go to google and search for what operating system you have and read some of those, thats the main ones
